You obviously mean, the Breakaway Version?
ChossonMembernoitallmr – If you appreciate “converted” songs, then you should check out the album Adaptation by A.K.A.pella, they took beautiful songs and put jewish words into them.
ChossonMemberI think Meyer Bendet wrote them.
Yes, I think it’s a seqel
ChossonMemberThe postion is very not eidel, in order to keep her balance
ChossonMemberThere is two books; Double Identity, and Switced Identity
August 31, 2010 8:44 pm at 8:44 pm in reply to: Which Singers Are Your Top 3 Favorites, (list by order) #1109062ChossonMemberEasy One:
1) Mordechai Ben David
He has everything a singer should have; a) A VOICE, he has such a rich, electrical (i.e. energetic) voice that he has the ability to turn a simple tune into a hit (i.e. Moshiach). b) SONGS, he has some of the nicest songs ever to be had in contemporary chassidic music. c) MUSIC, some of his tapes have unbeleivably beautiful musical arrangments (i.e. Neshama, Let my people go,etc. etc. d) PERFORMANCE SKILLS, I think that in this respect it’s undisputed that he is the king of concert. The grace and agility with which he dances and moves is surreal!!!!
ChossonMemberBut some claim, that if you don’t post the Professional Sports Teams scores, than people will resort to Goyishe Papers.
ChossonMemberBut what about the concern that kids will be pulled into sports, chas v’shalom!
ChossonMembernoitallmr- it is a very beautiful song. But in case your interested, it’s a non jewish R&B song that was “converted”.
ChossonMemberBlinky, is there a halachic leniency to wear pants during exercise? even if there are only women? Please tell me wat it is?
ChossonMemberYeah! and what about the girls who not only where these clothing, but also ride on rollerblades, and the new type of skate board. that’s really rediculous
ChossonMemberA Pushita Yid, Please elaborate.
ChossonMemberMBD has a song on his 3rd album called “V’ani Tefillati”. It’s so Hartzig. also by the same artist Golus Mitzrayim is awesome. The Rebbes Niggun is so haunting. If only musicians today would produce songs like that, nobody would have problems with music!!!!!
August 26, 2010 4:35 pm at 4:35 pm in reply to: Will Rav Amnon Yitzchak manage to change the music industry? #701529ChossonMemberI think that there should be a committe, to listen to songs to see if their eidel and if their good,(that’s also a major issue, almost nobody is giving out good songs,) and then there should be a hechsher on the album.
Is music supposed to be less kosher than hand soap, and paper towels?
ChossonMemberCan it be used for “lots of luck”?
ChossonMemberAre there any good gym’s in the B.P., Flatbush area?
ChossonMemberDo you have any rich relatives, that might be able to M$A$K$E some room for you children. Good luck
ChossonMemberGut Gezugt, helpful!!!!!!!!!!
ChossonMemberIt’s amazing to see how many people used the words: comfort, sensetivity,. As if Halacha is a term and concept to be placed in the last sentence of the blog (i.e. “I think any type of clothing is ok if no men (other than immediate family members) will walk in. As for music, I stick to the beaty Jewish ones but I don’t see a problem with some of the non Jewish ones – as long as the language, content, etc is ok.” ). There is a beautiful vort, V’ele Mishpatim Asher Tasim Lifanecah, The Mishpatim (i.e. Tznius in our case) should be placed in front of you. (i.e. your “comfort, convience”) when it contradicts each other
ChossonMemberWhat’s the heter?
Or that’s where we get our blind “Emunas Chachamim”?
Why is it that by our conveniences we become such “believers” and when it is not to our greatest convenience, we tend to question our Rabbonim?
ChossonMemberCorrect me if I did’nt understand you “Blinky”, In your house where M’Tzad people there isn’t a problem, you should be dressed app. but in the gym where there are people albiet women, you can be dressed ‘more comfortably’?
why does’nt that make sense?
ChossonMemberThank you Helpful, You’ve been most helpful(lol). GAW- Check Siman Beis in Mishna Berurah, and you’ll see that even socks are supposed to be donned and taken off under the blanket
ChossonMemberIf your not allowed to, your not allowed to. what’s the question?
ChossonMemberI don’t know what the Heter for swimming “Untniuzdigerhiet”, but it might be because it is dangerous to swim with much clothing on, because you can get dragged down. But with regard to Excersise, I don’t see a safety issue for being dressed Tzniusdig, rather a convenience issue. So I don’t really get what this “Sensitivity” gibbirish is all about.
The Halacha is that even in private, you’re not allowed to be dressed inappropriatly, because the Shechina is all over.
