I agree with your first post about appearance as you don’t get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression, and I do believe that he should shave.

However, I disagree regarding your second post, as a lot of the Asians, Muslims etc change their name for work purposes only. I am an accountant also and I have worked with a “Bob” from Pakistan and a Jay from China and believe me those were not their legal names.

I have heard the same thing. I do believe Rabbi Harry Cohen does give the Hashgocha, but I don’t know much about him. Would love to know if its reliable as I would love to try their cupcakes.

Eli Manning, Derek Jeter & Amare (although he might be jewish), they seem like nice people and they play for the Giants, Yankees and Knicks respectively. 🙂

Yes, is there really a need for this? and same thing would apply for TV stations also, are there not enough radio & TV stations out there? In this recession I think money could be better put to use elsewhere. There is no reason why these stations can’t still function via private donations.

“Honda and Toyota got billions in government subsidies to build factories in the US. GM didn’t. Hard compete with a subsidized competitor.”

Charlie, do you honestly believe this is the reason why Honda and Toyota are successful and GM recently filed for bankruptcy? I have a hard time believing that. Please let me know how much in subsidizes Honada and Toyota received as I can’t imagine those few dollars are material compared to the tens of billions of dollars in pension liabilities that GM had on its books.

In addition, prior to GM filing for bankruptcy union related costs added thousands of dollars per car they manufactured thus costing them more to produce the car than their selling price (and please don’t tell me they make it up in volume, lol).

That my friend is why GM filed for bankruptcy while Honda and Toyota did not.

I am wondering what would have happened if I said this to my shver (at the time future shver) when he asked me how I plan on supporting his daughter?

“Someone once explained it to me.

You are NOT an accountant (or whatever else it is that you do…). First and foremost you are an eved Hashem. Therefore, you are an Eved Hashem who WORKS IN ACCOUNTING. So I guess if anyone asks you, just say, I work in [fill in whatever it is you do that gives you parnassa] rather than I am a [whatever you do]…

With that said, I am an Eved Hashem, and I find extreme fulfillment as an educator, i.e. I teach for a living… and I LOVE it!”

    Should be an awesome SB.

Pack vs Steelers its like a throw back game. Both teams play solid defense and have a decent offense. I give the advantage to the Pack. Should be an awesome game, can’t wait.

Before post season started I went out on a limb and predicted the Jets vs the Pack. So far so good. Would be interesting SB especially with 2 #6 seeds.

Most weathermen/women are hired for one reason and that reason isn’t to tell you the 5 day forecast. According to our standards most of these women would not come close to meeting our tznius standards.
