The one major problem with them is they are not very rain resistant. The raincoat gets wet on the outside as well as the inside. Ironic!

I believe the reason was that a yid looks like a yid whether or not he is wearing his yarmulke. That person going into the movies is already being oiver one averia. By removing his yarmulke he is now oiver 2 averiros.

In response to the question “Are you halachically allowed to sign a contract when you don’t have a way to commit to the terms?”

Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky paskened 3 weeks ago at an Irgun Shiur in Flatbush when asked a similar question. NO!

My husband had a friend Chiya who lived in Philadelphia, who came here to learn in a Bais Medrash in Brooklyn.

Call Agudah @ (212) 797-9000 and ask for Leah Steinberg. She will give you names of P3 providers.

    Good luck.

I have always felt that Jewish people should retain their Jewish names as their english name as well. When I became engaged years ago, I asked my parents if I could change my English name from Hannah to Chanie. They said yes, so after an eight month process, I was proud to see my hebrew name on all my legal documents.

BP Totty, the way I heard the story is that the guest was the Brisker rov. The Chofetz Chaim replied, “There is a ???? to eat with ones wife on ??? ??? and if that is your term, I can not host you”. He never asked his wife as that is the ????.

When I mentioned this thread to my husband last night, he reminded me that when ???? ???? from the second volume of Amudai Shaish came out, it was ???? to sing it in Torah Vodaas. It was learned that almost note for note, it was composed and sung by a ??? named Ben E. King.

Give me a Reb Baruch Levine song any day and you will feel its Kedusha. He is a true Ben Torah who is obviously not influenced by the goyishe velt. I’ll bet he doesn’t even listen to it, hence his beautiful compositions.

To the person who wrote that all music is ???? please bear in mind that no less a Godal as the Vilna Goan brings down, that music can bring a person to the highest level of Avoda to Hashem. Furthermore, he says that for a person to know Trop in Tanach, he must be an expert in Music Theory as well as Composition.

Before anyone writes and asks where the source can be found, I saw it in Artscrolls Biography of the Vilna Goan.

If you want to know what type of music the composer/arranger had in mind just look at the sheet music. At the very top on the left side, it states what it is. For the most part YBC is ROCK. http://www.theyeshivaboyschoir.com/sheetmusic/Yiru.PDF.
