@philosopher I use Logic Pro from apple. You can only run it on a Mac, but it’s the best program I’ve worked with and it’s great for beginners too, very easy to learn.
And only my other head is the president.Look at it from a different perspective, I heard a ton of shidduchim got made that night!😂

It’s a great idea, but many bachurim are not interested in going to a ‘learning’ camp or program as it were, and to quote yogi Berra, if people don’t wanna come, how are you going to stop them? Many bachurim look forward to bein hazmanim as the few weeks a year when they finally can take a break from yeshiva, and would not be thanking you for this initiative. Best of luck

It depends who installed the program to make the computer write the music. If it’s a Jew it shouldn’t be an issue. If true AI is ever invented we may have to revisit this issue. To answer the OP’s question, all jewish music is terrible for one reason or another. The reason you’ll hear just depends on who you ask. Either it’s all goyish or it’s all unoriginal. You can’t win. And @tsbaum, what on earth is a ‘jewish’ emotion? According to you, taking non jewish songs should not be a problem at all, as long as the original song isn’t talking about something truly disgusting. Even love songs should be ok; the emotion coming through will make you feel love and longing, and all you have to do is make some lyrics about hashem and Torah and you’re all set!
What do you mean by ‘hanging out is hock’? And no, they should all be in the pizza shops together, maybe it’ll solve the shidduch crisis 🙂
Probably depends on how you define ‘survive’. There are many families who’s total net income is way less than a hundred grand, and they are still alive. If you meant can they survive without depending on government programs and reduced tuition costs, then yes you probably do.
Any intelligent person with the slightest bit of logical reasoning or critical thinking, who has actually done serious research into crt will quickly see an inane amount of logical inconsistencies and holes in the reasoning from beginning to end. It’s unbelievably dumb. Funnily enough, this actually creates a sort of paradox in that according to their beliefs, whites view members of other races as lesser, primarily in areas pertaining to intelligence. After doing some research, it was CRT itself which gave me reason to believe that this (that blacks are less intelligent), might actually be true! Certainly the people who came up with it were. Or maybe they were actually geniuses because they realized that by propagating this manure, they would be able to get away with pretty much anything…
I’m not just spouting what I heard from other people, I did the research because of all the hype that was going on about it and @ubiquitin, I suggest you do the same. If you’d like I can try and post some of the source material I used, but unless you have an agenda, you should be able to come to these conclusions simply by reading the original source material from the theory’s founders, and they were written years before it was twisted into something way worse by the morons of today.

I am indeed aware of that. That doesn’t change the fact of what I said. Obviously, most parents would rather their kid read nice jewish books. However, in a case where they fail to interest the kid, what’s wrong with a clean English book if it will only do good?
First of all, what’s considered ‘the wrong books’? Clearly we don’t hold that all non Jewish books are assur or no one would be able to go to college where there is always textbooks and required reading. Some would argue that it’s assur to go to college anyway, but that’s not the question here. So if we’re talking about novels, the fact is that contrary to what many would have you believe, there are a ton of absolutely clean books out there and personally I see no problem with them. I think we can all agree that it is healthy and necessary for people to be educated, literate, to have a decent vocabulary and to be generally proficient in their language, all of which reading accomplishes, it would seem that not only is there nothing wrong with English novels, but rather that they should be recommended. Additionally, the source that ujm brought does not exist as far as I could find, at least not in that place.

I obviously am as outraged as the rest over this horrible incident. However it does raise the question: according to Halacha, are you required to do whatever it takes to extend the life of a patient even if you know for a fact that they are experiencing immense pain and there is no chance of recovery? What if the patient is lucid and is in so much pain specifically from the meds/machinery that he/she requests to be taken off them and be allowed to die naturally? Do we force them to stay on them against their will? And in the case of of a non lucid or comatose patient, where it’s causing them pain wouldn’t it be tzaar baalei chayim to keep them on? What are the gedarim? Again, I’m not talking about this specific case as it was proven that she was experiencing no pain at all. This is clearly just another sign that our world is just messed up beyond repair
@shmili_oongar when a Bachur has a flip it is no indication whatsoever of what kind of person he is or what kind of lifestyle he wants to lead. Obviously for many it is, but those kind of bachurim are not the ones putting apps on their phones. Many bachurim would get a smartphone in a heartbeat if it would be socially acceptable, but since it isn’t, and they don’t want to get kicked out of yeshiva, this is sort of their way of ‘ hating the system’. They’re not just doing it to ‘look more frum’ they just aren’t interested in getting kicked out of yeshiva and branded as a ‘smartphone’ guy

I think the main reason most Jewish bands don’t use lp’s is simply because they are extremely expensive. You can get amazing sound out of almost any decent guitar if you’re good enough and you
know how to work your amps, electric guitar is extremely
versatile in that you can get pretty much any sound you want with some basic knowledge and the right
equipment. One of the best guitarists I know (he’s played
