I was at the theater last night where the live show was recorded. There were frum people all over the place. Many MO, but many with a definite yeshivish levush, there with wives and kids. Some of them must have had good connections, because we saw several frum families parade onto the stage before the show to take pictures. And I can tell you that the guys with beards, big black yarmulkes, and tzitzis out, with wives showing not a strand of hair, not only were there to cheer on Edon’s performance, but stayed in their seats for all the other acts, including some kol isha and other less-than-fully-clad women. So let’s not be so quick to bash the “moderns” and assume that anyone who dresses “correctly” is that much different on the inside.
