Mod can i get that rebbes phone number of Rabbi Shmaya Modes?

Mods, i havent been on the coffee room in quite a while & only found this post while doing a google search on his name. Rabbi Modes is a close friend of mine & has okay-ed his number going up online. I’m not sure if its still relevant for the original poster but his office number is 347-871-1410. If the mods dont want to post his number, please try to send it to @shlufnisht

Something else that can help is going to a smart rav or rebbi that u can trust. I did go to therapy but my rav is what helped me the most. If u live in or near brooklyn I would recommend that u contact Rabbi Shmarya Modes. His entire life revolves around helping people. When I was first introduced to him, I knew right away that this is a guy who can be trusted & will help.

Keep Climbing, I know exactly what your going through. My entire life up until i was 19/20 was pretty much the same as yours. I can guarantee that your not alone. There are many people who also have these same issues & you will get over them even though it may take a while. Its also very important to tell everything to your therapist & its definitely not easy. Believe it or not but he’s actually there to help.

its actually not so klor. because nowadays people are nearly or all gilgulim, which gilgul do you come back as?

Not everyone is a gilgul. It is said that anyone who is born on Shabbos or Yom Tov is a brand-new neshama. My brother & I were both born on Shabbos & my sister was born on Shavuos so i guess neither of us are gilgulim.

There isn’t one specific frequency for the entire NYPD. Each zone has their own frequency. For a listing of all the Zones + Frequencies please visit http://www.n2nov.net/nypd_ems.html

Also, before use of a police scanner, it would be wise to learn all the laws regarding a scanner (i.e. having a scanner in a car is illegal)

I did a Google street view of Avenue O and West 7th St. I saw a Reisman’s bakery on the corner and a few other other stores there, but nothing that looks like an electronics shop. Do you have the store’s name or address?

That is because its a new store that opened after Google Maps came by. I’ll try to pass by over Shabbos & get the address

Also have seen the cars zipping through red lights they just missed, or driving on the shoulder of the road, all while not responding to a call. (They sometimes turn on their lights or siren while they illegally zip through traffic and then shut it off as soon as they passed whatever they were trying to get through.)

Not every emergency is authorized for lights & sirens. there are many times that i am on a emergency call where i will only turn on my lights & sirens when going through heavy traffic and immediately turn it off after i get through even though i am on a call.

People, how about a little Dan L’kaf Zchus here!! Most Hatzolah members do NOT abuse their privileges!!

I don’t think that anyone would say that working saving lives is a waste of time.

Wolf, it looks like were in the same situation. On Shabbos afternoon i slept from after Shalosh Seudos (about 3pm) until Ma’ariv, and i stayed up all night but instead of sitting in Shul learning, i sat on the ambulance for most of the night which some consider to be a waste of time.

Unfiltered internet is eating chazir and having a treif kitchen.

Is that considered a heter to eat chazir?!?! (I have always wanted to eat chazir, my non-jewish co-workers claim it tastes like heaven 🙂 )

Or does it mean that if i have unfiltered internet, then i’m going straight to gehenom?? In any case, I did not go to the asifa yesterday, nor will i remove my fb & twitter accounts. I will also not put on a filter in my office due to the fact that the business cannot run with a filter, and i won’t put on a filter in my home because i believe i’m old enough to differentiate between good & bad and stay away from the bad.

Abe was 75 years old and had a medical problem that needed complicated surgery.

Because his son-in-law Jacob was a renowned surgeon, Abe insisted that Jacob perform the operation.

On the day of his operation, as he lay on the operating table waiting for the anesthetic, Abe asked to speak to his son-in-law.

    “Yes, what is it?”

“Don’t be nervous, Jacob, do your best and just remember, if it doesn’t go well, if G-d forbid something should happen to me, your mother-in-law is going to come and live with you for the rest of her life.

You want my opinion?!?! Anybody that rides a bike (especially in NYC)without wearing a helmet, should be diagnosed as a suicidal person and be treated accordingly! As an EMT i’ve treated multiple head injuries on children & adults caused from riding without a helmet and i’ve had enough already!!

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call ASAP, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block.

A Priest says to God, “Will we ever have a woman Pope?”. God responds, “Not in your lifetime”. Priest then asks “Will Pope’s ever be allowed to marry?” God responds, “Not in your lifetime.” Priest then asks “Will the Patriots ever beat the Giants in a Super Bowl?” God responds, “Not in MY lifetime.”

Warning: Do NOT repeat this to your spouse

A Doctor was addressing a large audience:

“The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water.

But there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have, or will, eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?”

After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, “Wedding Cake.”
