first of all that is not true cuz me, my mother, and my brother all have seperate screen names and passwords even though we are in the same house using the same computer. Second of all even if chayiv is a girl that whole thing is a lie. I know for a fact that bjj didnt send ANYONE their letters yet! Ateres Meohr and Seminar are out but Bjj is definatly not!!!! Sorry to burst your bubble though… And even if you didnt get your letter yet, please dont be nervous, what ever is meant to happen will no matter what! you will get it within the few days, and if you dont for some reason,just ask your teacher or principal if you got in

I used to be prejudiced against brooklyn and people in NY in general. That was until i went to camp and met some of the nicest people in the world and made the best friends ever – all from NY!!!! People there are awesome! But you may find people you dont get along with their just as in every city you would visit!

I am the oldest of 9! I also have 7 brothers under me, and only after them a sister! So in a way it is great being the oldest because i earn the respect of all my younger siblings. I often find myself wishing i would have an older sister just to have gone through everything before me so that i wouldn’t have to be the “experiment” first one in h.s first going to sem, ect. but being the oldest really is great and i dont think i would ever give it up!

i went to a wedding at ateres charna in monsey, and it was gorgeous! They redid the whole place a few months ago, and the place is stunning! Check into it!

yogibooboo thats a bit corny if you ask me. It’s kinda like what my family did one year. We wrote “ORANGE you glad you got shaloch manos from the _______ family????” then we we took orange bags, cans of orange soda, orange candy of all sorts, and cookies with orange sprinkles, and a bunch of other things. It was cute but these type corny themes get on everyones nerves dont they????

I really know how you are feeling! I’m turning 18 in less then 2 months! That same question has been playing in my head as well. It is also different for a girl then a boy. A boy is in yeshiva and when he graduates just moves on to beis medrash, which doesn’t seem as big of a jump. For a girl on the other hand, Senior year is scary! It’s all about which sem you’re applying to, where you are gonna get in, and then leaving everything you are used to, to go to Israel. (or sems other places) But there is a major fear of the unknown! I know the feeling and am a bit scared myself! I feel like this just happened so fast!

I have non-frum cousins in Austin, Texas, and I know they just found a chabad house there with very nice people. The city is also a really nice place to! Great weather, fun places to go, and really gorgeous from what I hear! maybe consider it.

yeah the best thing to do is to keep something on your lips at all times! Whether you like carmex, vaseline, ect. if you have some nasty oily thing on there you wont want to touch it! Its just like the cure for stopping thumb sucking. Put nail polish on because you dont want that chemical taste in your mouth.

yeah im sorry wanderingchana but that is not the case! there is the chazal that a tzaddik can never stand in a place a baal teshuva can stand. and i dont know if you have ever seen a baal teshuva daven or perform other mitzvos, but the concentration, the excitement, and the effort in which they put in to every mitzva they accomplish and every word of torah that they learn is not something most of us ffb’s can say we have and it is really something special and something for us to look up to and strive towards.

i just read a great story in one of Rabbi Kaplans books. He says how he was once giving a class in ohr somayach, and was telling these baalei teshuvas how amazing they are to just give up their whole lifestyle for torah. one man got up and said, “You’ve got it all wrong rabbi!” He explained that baalei teshuva see the “other world” and see how empty it is, making them want torah. FFB’s though, grow up with it and dont know what the outside world is like yet still keep the torah and mitzvos, and that he said is the most amazing thing, more amazing then anything a baal teshuva can do!!!!!
I’m still in awe from this story! I never thought about it like that!

of course mayo isn’t healthy, but we all like it, and would never EVER dream of taking it out of our diets. But i must tell you i am extremely picky like the type that likes only coke and not pepsi and only very specific types of brands of food but the light hellmans tastes really good just like the regular. Maybe if you eat it globbed on something it may taste differently but overall its really good! Try it!!!!

Yes im sorry Wolf didn’t mean any offense by that and you are right it just may be harder to respect someone who is doing something you disapprove of. We just need to work harder to respect them. But a yeshiva bochur who smokes is different then someone you need to respect i have no chiyuv there what so ever unless some buckey in halacha tells me otherwise…

yup you really look at some people and even if they are not “the most popular” or the in on THE GROUP, some people are just such good people! everyone feels that they are best friends with them! Im sure everyone knows people like this! They are really special and everyone always strives to be like them one day! Its really amazing!
