i second weight watchers!!!! i went on it, and lost 19 pounds in less then 2 months!!!!! It’s kinda hard, but in a way easier then others cuz you can eat whatever you want, just not that much of it. If strongly focuses on portion control (my biggest problem!) i actually know a very heavy women who lost 110 pounds on weight watchers in a year and she has kept it off and looks amazing! I just wasn’t able to keep it off like she was 🙁

candy613Membermessing up the school is not going to make anyone happy. The best thing to do is something that will cause no harm or embarrasment to anyone, (although it is kinda funny sometimes) but i think everyone is better off doing something very funny that wont effect anyone.
>O<613
candy613Memberi agree with everything that was said about changing your attitude and making one a happier person, and it really does work! There is just one thing i learned that one needs to be careful with. If something is bothering you or going wrong, dont just bury it deep down and pretend all is good, keeping a smile pasted on your face. It is important to walk around happy and not depressed, but if there is an issue you need to work out, talk to someone! work it through! dont bury it deep down, it only grows bigger when you do that.

>O<613
candy613Memberif you are looking for a warmer more out of towny, yet still some new yorkers type of camp, maybe look into Agudah Midwest (South Haven Michigan), or Camp Bnos Maarava (Marshall Indiana) Their motto is “Where New York excitement meets Midwest warmth” and its sooo true i worked in both camps, and they are both amazing!
>O<613
candy613Membershuli didn’t know you lived in chicago! I guess that gives us something in common!!!! 😉

candy613Memberthese suggestions are all easier said then done! i find it so hard just thinking about making such a big change in my diet! It’s so not simple to just go off white flour sugar and all the rest! Maybe i dont like whole wheat flour or splenda! Then what do i do??? I wish there was a way to lose tunz of weight without having to make major changes, but i guess i should just dream on cuz there’s no such thing!
>O<613
candy613Memberit’s ok you can kvetch all you want to us. That’s what we are here for right? I know how you feel, and often feel the same way! too bad there’s no good answer to this question! it is really hard but always keep in mind you are not alone! We’re all doing it along with you!

February 28, 2011 2:41 am at 2:41 am in reply to: lookin 4 true up to date info on Seminaries in israel #744928candy613MemberI was thinking seminar, ateres, meohr. Im just not sure how you would apply or if it is too late. Good luck though!
>O<613
candy613Memberhey i got into meohr but goin to ateres instead 2 bad could have ended up with you! I know the feeling of having to make a desicion though! IT’S MURDER! you should either sit down and write the pros and cons of each place and think where deep down is the right place, and what you really want. Or you can sit and talk to a teacher or principal and just talk it out. Even if they wouldn’t tell you what to do straight out, it just helps to talk about it! I did all of the above and finally made my desicion, and i can tell you it is the greatest feeling ever! go with your deep heart desires! think about deep down where you really think you will be able to see yourself growing and becoming the best person you can be!
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah yossi z. i agree with you 100% but think about how immature we all are back then and how mature we can get in the years to come! Of course we need this maturity to grow into better people, and we can only do this by climbing the ladder upwards, and aging!
And im sure it’s hard to have a girl be “not the right one”, but you gotta remember ur only 19! you are still young!
>O<613
candy613Memberi was that first poster. Everyone knew what i meant, and everyone knows where we will be at the real end. What i meant was that we have been talking about seminaries for about four months now! so i was just asking where everyone was going after these months of sitting here and talking about it. I dont think that was a flaw in writing, and it’s really ok to say things like that.
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah that is true! Loud noises can just be scary for kids! seems pretty normal!!!!
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah observanteen i feel the same way im starting to hate being 17! it has been a really bad year! cant wait to turn 18! just 1 month left!
>O<613
candy613Memberyogibooboo where did you go? Bnos Chava?
candy613Memberhey pops! maybe u can be friends with my classmates going to BJJ! Now how ironic would that be???? 😉 Do you actually think we believe you that you are a senior in high school? cuz sorry to burst your bubble but we know you are NOT!
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah wanderingchana i was just gonna ask you if you were an OT! you sound like my mother whose an OT we know all about that stuff! 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah i see how fast it’s going by and its kinda scary!!!!!
>O<613
candy613Memberover the hills- do yourself a favor and dont think or worry about seminary right now! You dont know what’s gonna be next year! Seminaries change, and you may change your mind! In eleventh grade i knew the three places i was applying, and i ended up applying to only one of those places with 2 others i never would have thought i would apply to! And i’m not even going to the one i thought i would even though i got in! Just worry about this year now, and think about sem in november next year!
>O<613
candy613Memberha ha good one yossi z. Yes we do like food in this world…!
>O<613
candy613Memberwell in a literal sense they would still be a teenager, but they can call themselves whatever makes them happy! Why not hold onto the status of a teen while you have it though? We are the best!
>O<613
candy613MemberYeah tell me about it! I have a friend who can eat dinner for five, and then 2 pints of ice cream for dessert, and still stays size zero! They do get on our nerves when we eat one little thing and gain 5 pounds from it! 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberyeah we knew that long ago…!
>O<613
candy613Memberi dont think there is anything to make this process easier, especially after staying up late! It’s really hard, and i guess that’s just the way it has to be! but at least it’s good to know that we’re not the only ones who are having a hard time with this! 😉
>O<613
candy613MemberI’m going to Ateres at the end, but got into Meohr also…!!!! Anyone else going to Ateres?
candy613Memberthat’s very funny! but no it is really not a stupid rule! imagine if one didnt get in anywhere. It is very hard to hear about others getting into places when you didnt. this way during the week that we are not allowed to say, the girls who haven’t got in anywhere are pushed into somewhere, and then everyone is able to say after.
IM GOING TO ATERES AT THE END! but got into meohr also. Also our class was really bad about it and everyone kind of knows where everyone else is going!
>O<613
candy613MemberBUSTED! no its not the seminary that has that policy, it is my high school. We are not allowed to say until everyone in our class gets in somewhere. Hmmmm…. i wonder where you are going!! 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberi didnt realize no one would want to say… i actually wanna to tell everyone, and see if theres anyone else going, but my school has a rule that we are not allowed to tell anyone where we got in until everyone in my class is in somewhere. In a week though i’ll tell everyone!!!!
>O<613
candy613MemberYeah got the letters!!!! i wanna say where i got in, but my school has a policy that we aren’t allowed to say for a week! but as soon as im allowed to i will post it!!!!
>O<613
candy613Memberi didnt think it was that hard to get into Meohr! Wow that’s cool i got in i guess. I do know a bunch of people who were rejected so…
Anyways thanks for that idea i forgot about all of those old threads! Thanks again!

February 23, 2011 11:09 pm at 11:09 pm in reply to: Finding Out if It Will Be a Boy or Girl? #1028724candy613Memberit actually is a problem according to most. It has something to do with finding out the future, fortune telling, ect. I do know you can say there is a difference, but if you think about it you are trying to find out something that does not need to be known yet. If there is a need for you to know for some medical or other reason, the best thing to do is call your rav. And isn’t is so much nicer when it is a surprise? I always thought that’s the best part!
>O<613
candy613Memberif it was for high school seniors, it would be 100% about seminary! 😉
>O<613
candy613MemberThank you so much. I did research in which seminaries to apply to and i applied to these two because i felt both were great. I do know about both of them and have friends who are in both, but i just never dreamed that i would get accepted into both, and since i really like the sound of both schools, am having a very hard time deciding between the two. I guess i was just asking if anyone knew any other differences between the two that would help me more. I think the main thing are the girls though in both, and i think thats what i need to look into the most!
Thank you Papa i always knew you were the expert! 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberwell after being in the cr for a while, u kinda get a picture in your head of each person, based on their posts, and responces to others. Do you know what i mean? So basikly i just didnt picture you being chassidish. That’s all – nothing wrong with it, just wasn’t expecting that! 😉
>O<613
candy613MemberI heard of the funniest thing in the world that a high school did! They rented 6 goats, and labeled them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and let them loose through the school. The administration went completely bezerk, and tried to round up the goats. After a very long time, they were still missing goat #6 and did not know what to do with themselves!!!! I was thinking of doin this in my school on a smaller scale maybe with 2 chickens, marking them 1 & 3 so we would be missing #2! I think this is the best trick i’ve heard of so far 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberoh i never saw that thread i guess. We were looking at the jewish star auditions and we thought we saw you, but didnt think it was you because the person was chassidish lol but i guess it was! Just wasnt expecting it! 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberya those sems lk midreshet tehilla, michlala, sharfmans, and other places lk that came, but a few bais yaakov sems also sent their letters!!!!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!
>O<613
candy613Memberim not sure. Is there any point of this whole contest? What do you get for winning?
candy613MemberIts officially thursday, but some letters have been sent out. Ateres, Meohr, and Seminar have already come to some cities!
GOOD LUCK!
>O<613
candy613Memberhmmmmm…. let me think about that one!
>O<613
candy613Memberyup jus comes to show… every girl in the world knows how to spell seminary!
>O<613
candy613Memberits abba and ema in my house! i think this is the best because those dont have to change as kids get older. They are both pretty neutral. Also i always felt ma and ta had a negative connotation especially with teens. And totty always bothered me, and mommy i feel is kinda babyish so i would stick with ema and abba.
>O<613
candy613Memberit would be adar sheine… If one was born or passed during adar of a leap year it would be depending on if it was adar rishon or sheine. For example if one was born in the first adar during a leap year, and their bar mitzva is also during a leap year, then they would celebrate it during the first adar. Same goes with a yartzeit!
candy613Memberjust pretend you know what you’re talking about, and all will be good 😉
>O<613
candy613Memberhey yossi z- random question is it true ur chassidish??????
