1) how bout trying dark socks with a color design? Like the top band and heel part and toe

part are all 1 color or 1 color stripes- etc

2) the way you made the shirt thing sound was as if he bedafka wasn’t wearing white- i have no problem with wearing colored shirts but there is obvi. Something much deeper if he’s doing it as a statement!

3) its not a scale of cute to pretty- some you just say r cute, others pretty some both and

others none it all depends on what you think is pretty-

4) interjection – very intresting take on the whole pretty thing but that’s not always true

5) brony – they would know because when you ask her friends she usually gets a full blown play by play of the convo-

6) I agree – shouldn’t be looking at looks and clothes shuld be middos etc-

– of course no one is gonna actually put their biggest fears here, even if its anonymous- i wrote what the most typical teenage b.y. girl would have: fomo- fear of missing out! its rampant among teenage girls!

very possibly! it all depends on why would he be so against them? there is a reason behind it- but i prefer guys who at least wear a white shirt l’kvod shabbos/ yom tov- or learning

brony- same thing with pix- they are not always what they seem! same exact thing- everyone gets all primped etc before they take like 100 pics and then decide which is the perfect one to use as their shidduch pic. and no i do not hate on anyone – it just annoys me. and i do not give out my pic- and they can ask away- but beauty is in the eye of the beholder! and what the reference might think is pretty might not be for the person asking- so most people when asked those q’s skate around answers picking one spec. pretty feature- like when she smiles her whole face lights up, you can see the twinkle in her eyes. etc. and then they say ya shes rlly pretty/ cute etc. or they skate around that part by mentioning her personality- ppl are VERY careful when it come to q’s like that because for all you know it can be a deal breaker.

brony- yes it bothers me that they ask for them- ever heard of a date???? that’s what first dates are for!!!! what did they do before pictures where so easy to come by??? and its more of the principle of the matter- they can’t look at us in the streets but they can in a picture??? but thats besides the point- see the please include photo thread for a full blown disscussion about it

1st of all i answered your theoretical question with a theoretical answer; there is no possible way to know that a guy has a lot of tickets. but if such a thing was possible- it would not be a deal breaker but if there were other stuff too, it would add to it.

nope just 3 pet peeves: smoking, pictures on resumes, and being stupid! people have to use more common sense!!!! and i’m sure im not the only girl who can’t stand those 3 things.

1st of all there are websites where you can order stuff and it will be in your sem waiting for you- and it saves a LOT of space try blanket express- and there are 2 others I just forgot what they are called. They have everything and anything- and whatever you want can be given back at the end of the year and they give it to a gemach for kallahs, or you can leave it in israel for someone you know going the next year.

do NOT bring- sefarim, notebooks, pens, etc!!!!!! its a waste of space!!!!! hangers, you can get there!! drawers etc you can also get there!!!!

do bring: clothing-

only like 2/3 skirts- out of the 6/7 you bring you’ll only wear the same 2/3 over and over again-

shirts can bring anywhere from like 6-12

sweaters you can wear more than once in a row since they are over the shirt- just make sure to let the sweater air out instead of stuffing it back in your closet.

shabbos outfits- you really don’t need so many- like the skirts you’ll end up always wearing the same 2 or 3 that are pretty and comfy.

shoes- do not bring heals!!!! bring 1 or 2 really comfy and durable pairs, but you can find there- try places like the mall etc.

the rest of the clothes are pretty much self explanitory-

shampoo and conditioner- get there!- unless you are using herbal essence or head and shoulders- which you can also get there.

deoderant- get there- most ppl will recommend axe- even though its for guys its really good- and they have scents they dont sell here.

laundry stuff- get there!

girl stuff- bring! except makeup- if you run out there is a mac store- and blowdriers ect get from blanket express-

food- a lot you can get there- especially in cheaper kol- or places where there are a lot of Americans- like arzei-

basically pack clothes- get everything else there!

shopping- ya I did it- and I freaked out!!! and the minus and plus thing zooms out and zoom in

in Brooklyn they say pump. everyone else says hydrant………

blackberry is more work related…. iphone is also but not as much and more shticky…… but why does that matter? please explain…..

shnitzalltheway- not at all!- when ppl call it jappy they *don’t* mean that 1)everyone is 2)the kids are mean! everyone get’s along and no one judges anyone based on what they wear- even ages don’t matter! my campers had friend in age groups 2 years older! and i was friends with kids a few yrs younger too!-

lakwhut- quitting is easier said then done for most people. and please explain what i don’t get about guys? peer pressure is peer pressure- that’s what social smoking is- people expect girl’s not to succumb to peer pressure on various counts- but boys get a free pass because it’s cool? let me ask you a very common question- if all your friends were jumping off a bridge would you?? each person has their own common sense.- would you jump if it was the cool thing to do and the damage will be minimal, but as you get older the damage will become more visible?…… please tell me- what don’t I get? that guys don’t think before they act? because in front of me there is a pretty clear line between the black and white right now- but if you can manage to mention some possible logical and ok reasoning- i would be willing to admit that you might be partially right- but so far you have nothing!

While I agree with the whole size zero thing is ridiculous like OneOfMany said…… please don’t condemn the skinny!!!! I am what is considered “petite” and my really close friend is also- and someone I know asked 1 of me if everything is ok with my friend? do i think she’s anorexic or something? I was laughing!!!!!!! I told her trust me don’t worry she eats plenty- some of us were just blessed with a really good metabolism- and our weight is really proportionate to our height- it just doesn’t seem like it to everyone else cuz their just looking at our waist!
