Burnt SteakParticipantI agree completely antisemitism is alive and out there. Ever since an incident when, I was walking home from school, when I was in 6th or 7th grade, and someone called me a (explicitive) Jew.
people shouldn’t be so secure outside of Israel.
May Hashem bring Mascheich and end all of this false security.

August 22, 2012 8:08 pm at 8:08 pm in reply to: Time to make Aliyah and create a holy State of Israe #892396Burnt SteakParticipantAll you need to do is ask your Rav and if he says you should go then you should go and if he says that you should then you should stay. It should be this simple.
Burnt SteakParticipantAs ItcheSrulik said you should use kosher food. Whenever I visit my irreligious relatives, we either bring deli or lox and bagels for everybody.
If it will strain relationships with them then you should try to set up the meeting so that the temptation will not arise. You could suggest to meet at a park and picnic or try some vegetation thing. Or you could come just for dessert (if big family get together that many relatives will be present) and stay for a couple of hours.
If all else fails just tell you child that All the food is poisoned.(just kidding in case you couldnt tell)
Burnt SteakParticipanthere is my question. Im taking A and P this year and had to know this for midterm.
describe the difference between an Axon with myelin sheath and without the myelin sheath

Burnt SteakParticipantA few ways that might work
1: Distract them with a toy/stuffed animal.
2: Bribe them.
3: Tell the kid that they will be like all the older kids if they take it. Boosting their ego will help them.
4: Tell them straight out that its good for them.
Remember to always not get frustrated if they refused if you do get frustrated dont let the child see you frustrated.
Im not a parent but these are things that have worked on me/siblings/friends when we were young(er)
Burnt SteakParticipantDJHocker first of all you should know that the 49ers were only 2nd in overall defense (behind the Steelers) they are #1 against the run.
49ers are not to be overlooked. They have an excellent run game and an average passing game. They are one of the most consistent teams in the NFL and only lost once at home.
The Giants are very inconsistent. Eli Manning is going to get hit a lot more than he did in the first 2 games because 49ers d-line is much better than Falcons or Packers. If he doesnt have time to throw then he can’t make good passes and go back to throwing Interceptions like he did in other seasons.
Last point is that the 49ers already beat the Gaints in week 10 at home 27-20 im picking 49ers Pats Superbowl
Burnt SteakParticipantI am a highschool kid also and have faced depression (different reasons) what works for me is just talking to Hashem and asking to help me get through it. Also you should just act as yourself you shouldnt care what the other people think of you. For all you know they will like you no matter what. It would be a big mistake to ditch the shabbos, cause you will just regret what could have been. You cant go through life without getting hurt. You should just know that you are a child of Hashem and that you will always have Someone to turn to.
