BTGuyParticipant
Cinderella, you are doing something awesome, and this particular person seems to be a big challenge. You may end up learning in the process as much as you are teaching. I have worked with difficult young people and I can only suggest not to get too emotionally affected by the problems in her life. The focus, IMHO, should be that she keeps showing up each week. Give her the truth and let the truth seep into her precious neshama which is now boiling in garbage because of where she is in life, at this time. She needs you, as is evident by her attendance and participation, regardless of all the junk that comes along with her life. This may be as much a test for you as for her. But, again, know she has issues, but dont fret them too much. Stick to the truth you are there to tell her. If she does not get it from you, who will she get it from? Also, everything is relative. You are making a person with a bad life a little less worse, even if it’s by degrees, measurable or not, and that means something.
BTGuyParticipantWell, that’s one way to get married, I guess.
BTGuyParticipantThe idea for this thread was a good one. I would have preferred reading the story line BEFORE
it went to the shredder. Maybe someone can start another one with the rule of no extraneous or outside the plot-line remarks or comments, or put them in parenthesis so they dont eclipse the story.
BTGuyParticipantchanie T., your point is well taken. Perhaps once he gets back on, be”H, we can say his leave
was only temporary. Only he knows why he learned, dropped it to some degree, yet speaks
of Judaism proudly. Let’s pray he gets out of his quagmire.
BTGuyParticipantBeHab? Ohhhh! I thought the person had to go to ReHab! I was thinking why go to rehab for bumping into your cousin? So what is this Behab?
BTGuyParticipantHonolulu
BTGuyParticipantJackie Mason is the greatest wit out there. He still brings a yiddishe kupp to the world-at-large as a comedic genius while showing love for his heritage in the process. I can only assume he may have had some experience with something or someone either personally or spiritually which has temporarily turned him off, which can happen. We can only pray he finds his way back as soon as possible.

BTGuyParticipantOkay, so there was a king who had a wife who loathed him for banishing their two sons (there’s always a reason), and then we are vaulted into a different galaxy where it is evidently spooky and someone’s gum becomes tasteless so they ask their dad for more gum who subsequently gets a mazel tov on his grandson (mazel tov), with a little Chofetz Chaim mussar thrown in….well, this story is
the Salvador Dali of stories, as far as I can tell.
Maybe start another story?

They are not measurably larger than the lower case. And in this case they were used appropriately and I got why they were used. No big deal for me.
But I dont think the poster should apologize for their post. From what I see they were being real and true to who they are. Their enthusiasm and spirit is obviously a gift, and the post makes total sense to me and gave off tremendous positive energy. We should all be grateful for reading such a joyful post.
IMHO (Is My Hat Outside?)
BTGuyParticipantI thought “IMHO” meant someone rushing to post suddenly is hit with the thought, “Is My Hat Outside”?
“IDK” seemed to be an intro, “I Didnt’ Knock”, and then they go ahead and post something
they are not sure about anyway.
