never mind the kid’s future. even if his parents are zillionaires and he’s gonna be able to learn for the rest of his life (not that anything is guaranteed but even IF) – it won’t kill anyone to be a little knowledgeable!
i think it’s a laziness. yeshiva guys take advantage and attribute it to “frum”
brooklyn19ParticipantNEWS FLASH:
mdlevine is a male and intellegent is a female with a husband ????????? that’s insane!
brooklyn19Participantnot a great idea. you’re gonna get some left-wing girls trying to join. (not me, of course! but i might feel left out…)
brooklyn19Participantso wait- what makes them assur? the fact that they’re used for a goyish holiday? when chareidim use them for their succa it’s muttar, but when italians use them they’re assur? can’t be!
and about “christmas” – what’s wrong with saying it? do we switch all the goyish holidays’ names? big deal – it’s a guy’s name. there’s nothing wrong with saying his name.
brooklyn19Participanti should switch my user name so that i could get welcomed 🙂
brooklyn19Participantanon
dale carnegie. (no idea really, but doesn’t seem like the type of book he would write.)
brooklyn19ParticipantCharlie, I just saw this. I’m so embarrassed…
brooklyn19Participantyou are too wise for me
brooklyn19Participantlol ok mod 99. i’m waiting for mod 101 to get a job.
brooklyn19Participantseriously. anyone gonna answer my question? it’s staying on this thread unless someone else starts a new one…
brooklyn19Participantoh oooops! that’s even worse!
brooklyn19Participanttheir number from their jersey in camp
brooklyn19Participantand his kid? that’ll be lkjhgfdsa
stale joke. i know.
brooklyn19Participanti dunno! i’m really the same way in person. very outgoing, very friendly, (and very nutty!) but i surprise myself sometimes and shy away. in real life and i guess here too. don’t ask! but i just CAN’T start a thread. weird, no? not that it’s such a major deal or anythings. it’s just so out of character…
brooklyn19Participantlol i know. but no jokes, i really have a shy side to me.
brooklyn19Participantwell i knew both of those points that you made (lol jk!) but i’m just not the type to start a thread. believe it or not – i get shy sometimes in the weirdest places…
brooklyn19Participantasdfghjkl;’
what’s the time difference to new york?
brooklyn19Participanti stand corrected. thanks, ICOT.
brooklyn19Participantget a coat with a zillion buttons like… which rabbi was that? he used to put it on and button it up, then unbutton it again. by the time he was done he was calmed down. who was it again? ouch i hate forgetting things.
brooklyn19ParticipantOh well he’d probably be better off the other way around. American residency and British thinking.
brooklyn19Participanti’ve got a real question (i’m not a fan of starting my own thread so it goes here)
is it true that you’re not supposed to look at christmas lights? that there’s tumah in them? i’ve heard this more than once and it just doesn’t seem to make any sense to me.
brooklyn19Participantoh i wasn’t looking at his post. check out the title. but yeah now that i looked at his post – that is pretty funny. probably a typo.
brooklyn19ParticipantICOT – wow yeah it is cool. what an artist! lol

December 21, 2008 3:14 am at 3:14 am in reply to: The Great Potato Latke vs Hamantaschen Debate —> VOTING IS CLOSED <— #933058brooklyn19Participantbtw if we ask the same question in two and a half months from now, whoever said latkes would say hamantaschen and vice versa. i think it’s a seasonal thing.
December 21, 2008 3:10 am at 3:10 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630428brooklyn19Participantlol not sure what i just did but something happened. oh well who cares anyway. anyone have anything interesting to say on any of the other threads? any new trivia questions? i’m really not in the mood to play monopoly with my family tonight…
December 21, 2008 2:53 am at 2:53 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630421brooklyn19Participant- i’m experimenting on ul
- and on ol
- and on li
to figure out what they are…
December 21, 2008 2:42 am at 2:42 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630414brooklyn19Participantwhat are “ul” and “ol”? and while i’m at it, “li”?
brooklyn19Participantyeah maybe if they looked the same as all the other threads and just stayed at the top it would be better. what do you say, Mr. Editor?
brooklyn19Participantyeah well if i spilled enough of my personality onto this site that i made friends, it’s not exactly a great thing. gee i wish i knew how to be a better snob! it would help me a lot in life. lol in dating and in blogging!
December 21, 2008 2:35 am at 2:35 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630410brooklyn19Participanti get what “strong” is supposed to mean. but what’s “em”?
December 21, 2008 2:31 am at 2:31 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630407brooklyn19Participantyeah you’re not following joseph’s instructions.
“<” then “em” then “>”
then type in your words
then “<” then “/em” then “>”
and you’re done!
brooklyn19Participantouch. that’s not really a good thing, is it? (i can’t even remember if you’re male or female. don’t remind me – i’m better off not knowing.)
brooklyn19Participantmodern – not really. i mean i guess you could have a filter. but that’s like asking “what’s more unkosher? a pig or a horse?”
brooklyn19Participantdunno – is it supposed to snow around here tonight? btw i had the sickest time driving on friday! lol the only annoying part was cleaning off my car.
December 21, 2008 2:21 am at 2:21 am in reply to: The CR Laboratory: Try Your HTML Formatting Experiments Here #630405brooklyn19Participantthanks joseph. they say you learn something new every day. and this day’s almost over so we had to fit that something in now 🙂

brooklyn19Participantlol i promise mr. mod. “sick” is a good thing where i come from. it’s like “awesome” or “unbelievable”
brooklyn19Participantno way it’s 42, 72, 86, 99 isn’t it?
brooklyn19Participantlol time out – me first. ummmm 86?
brooklyn19ParticipantSHWEKEY!!!!!!!!!!!! and i recently became obsessed with Shira Chadasha. sick voices! (for all you old fogies – that’s a good thing)
