I’m not sure…Ami may offer digital copies of their magazine for sale, send them an email. AmiMagazine.org.
EDIT: I just checked and ami offers mail subscriptions throughout the US and canada for $209 a year. You can probably order individual magazines as well, but you’ll have to call them or email them for that.
wanderingchana…why do you hope i published under a pseudonym?! you have no idea how it pains me that i did publish under a pseudonym. were it up to me i would proudly have my real name printed with my article, however my family’s wishes supersede my own, and they didnt want to be directly associated with my articles. i respect their wishes even though i hate it. as for the pseudonym…i was given a choice, and chose to allow the editor to choose the pseudonym. there will be a part 3 as well, pending approval of part 2 of course. part 3 will be “how to cope with a mentally ill family member or friend.”
bombmaniacParticipantunless he really really hates burned food 😛
bombmaniacParticipanthalachicly he can divorce you for burning the food…
bombmaniacParticipantIssue #30 is in 2 weeks. I just finished and submitted part 2, i’ll keep you all updated. With any luck they will be printed consecutively. Part 2 is about what to expect when going through the mental health system.
bombmaniacParticipantwow. quick wit. youre a genius. my IRLs all know who i am on here
bombmaniacParticipantby the way the criteria for not guilty by reason of insanity is basically that he genuinely did not know that what he did was wrong at the time of the crime. its remarkably hard to prove. the only reason people get so hung up on it is because of the media. news…movies…TV…etc…overhype the idea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
bombmaniacParticipantlol its funny cuz you guys are arguing about something written by the same troll. pac man and basket of radishes…when i see either of those names (and real brisker) i just disregard those posts and move on to the next ones.
bombmaniacParticipantidk where you people get your “facts” regarding this case…i can guarantee you my source is better than yours…
bombmaniacParticipantNo, Kapusta, that’s where you’re wrong. At least when you would equate a murderer with someone who has a “mainstream” mental illness. They are not the same, and one is not necessarily mentally ill in the clinical sense when they commit murder. There may be other factors involved such as past experiences, events in his life which have made him callous toward human life, etc…but just because a person does something unspeakable which you cannot explain does NOT mean that they must be mentally ill in the clinical sense.
As I said, to the best of my knowledge, Levi had no history of mental illness. I understand that it is easy to blame what he did on a mental illness, but you’re just wrong about that. Thought you should know. As Aries said, he wasn’t mentally ill, just evil. There is a difference. Now he may not be wired the same, much in the same way that I am far less emotional than your average person, does that make me mentally ill? No. It makes me different.
bombmaniacParticipantto the best of my knowledge he has no history of mental illness.
bombmaniacParticipantAmiLiving Issue #30
i know…its Ami Living, not my first choice, but hey…ill take what i can get. and yes, they DID pay me,.
bombmaniacParticipantprobably do what i could to wreck YWEditor’s account 😀
bombmaniacParticipantdroid…you made no case for yashrus. you said that the customer is perfectly entitled. al pi halacha…sure. he is. al pi yashrus…
bombmaniacParticipantyoure all making the case for why its mutar…not why its yashar
bombmaniacParticipantim not talking about COULD im talking about SHOULD
bombmaniacParticipantkeep touting that platitude about jurors being brainless idiots.
bombmaniacParticipantwhy are you capitalizing jurisdiction?! so basically if a yid is in prison for raping someone…it is our moral obligation to break him out?
bombmaniacParticipantsee thats something i never got. about mesira…concerning monetary issues there are alternatives to mesira and using a secular court. however in criminal cases such as rape murder abuse etc…there IS no alternative…so why should mesira be assur? theres no malicious intent, because there is no alternative…

Out of thousands of people out, this is who Leiby met! #786278bombmaniacParticipantmayeb hashem wanted to give yeshivaworld more traffic…why doesnt everyone just leave their opinions out of it…you just take from this whatever you want to take from it…leave hashem’s cheshbon to hashem.
bombmaniacParticipantnot at all. not even slightly. there is no way the store intends for people to buy clothing once and just keep rolling it over. no company intends to facilitate its own insolvency. now you can say that when a company sets forth such a liberal return policy they know that people will exploit it so you can go ahead and exploit it because the company knows it will be exploited…does that mean that the company WANTS to be exploited? NO! nu…so why did they implement such a liberal return policy? because for the things they wanted to allow…it would have taken a book the size of the tax code to distinguish between what they want and what they allow. so they didnt bother. does that make returning clothing for the next size is right? no. not even close.
bombmaniacParticipanti dont understand what everyone is going on about…we dont have a court system of our own, least of all a Sanhedrin. we live in the US of A and we abide by their laws. if the laws are “kill levi” then yes. kill levi. the goyim dont have to abide by the laws of the torah, only the sheva mitzvos. and as far as i know (correct me if i am wrong) there is nothing in there that precludes a death penalty.
bombmaniacParticipantforget halacha for a second…al pi did you may be able to exploit vagueness in a return policy…but you all know it’s intended purpose. Lands End, and all these other companies, implement such return policies to attract customers. they accept torn clothing in exchange for new clothing to promote sales. note the word sales. ill say it again…SALES!!! once more…a little more vociferously…SSSSSAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLEEEEEESSSSSSS!!! they do NOT intend it to be a once in a lifetime purchase. they want you to be so satisfied with their service that they will be the company you turn to for all your clothing needs. how do they accomplish that by having their products traded up for 30 years?
they dont! its not the return policy’s intended purpose. in other words its cheating the system. ill say it again. cheating. see the word i used? CHEATING!!! now al pi din you may be able to get away with that, but al pi yashrus? definitely not.
July 14, 2011 4:02 pm at 4:02 pm in reply to: Is Mishpacha Magazine Considered Left-of-Center? #866980bombmaniacParticipanti dont see why…i mean does it mean youre more left of center if you publish important articles that no one else wants to publish?
unless you mean the stuff theyve published about the internet. your point would be that since the article would not apply most right wingers (charedim) that the magazine must be left of center for publishing it. i beg to differ. you can have right wing policies and still publish content for those left of center. think of it as right wing propoganda…
bombmaniacParticipantThe same thought crossed my mind…I’m at the levaya now and the weather has cleared.
July 13, 2011 11:51 pm at 11:51 pm in reply to: Is Mishpacha Magazine Considered Left-of-Center? #866972bombmaniacParticipantwhat apushitayid said and like i said…I WANT CITATIONS!!! really…dont bash a magazine if you cant back up your claims. i want issue numbers and specific article references for every single criticism you people dole out.
bombmaniacParticipantrussian mail order brides…i get emails all the time about those.
July 13, 2011 11:46 pm at 11:46 pm in reply to: Death Penalty For the Murder of Leiby Kletzky….. #785842bombmaniacParticipantplease…to all of you who are posting info about the Aron family…stop. neither you nor i can even begin to fathom what they must be going through. I know quite a few of them and i know that they are wonderful people. please don’t make them suffer because they happen to have a nut job for a relative. think about if it were your family. leave the alone. i know that what im saying may not be popular seeing as the tragedy happened to the kletzky family, but an almost equal tragedy happened to the Aron family. seriously, i can think of little worse that finding out that someone you loved and cared for is a butcher. leave them be. vent all you want about Levi Aron, but leave the rest of them out of it.
