first of all 30 years the world wasnt such a pruste place…second of all its irrelevant when they start they should NEVER start, and third of all why should it even be turbulence? are ther NO OTHER activities that you can think of aside from smoking???
im not gonna get involved in that…i just think theyre being blinded by something which is why they dont officially come out against it, they all say its wrong why cant they make a kol korei about it??? we see so many other “takkanos” about lesser matters…

personally i went to a yeshiva where only (possibly) 5 students TOTAL smoked in high school…IF that! we had no problems finding outlets…it IS possible for people to interact without a cigarette assisting that interaction. there are ABSOLUTELY no benefits to smoking, and the benefits people claim cigarettes have is greatly outweighed by the negatives.
thats all well and good once they already started….the point is they shouldnt start in the first place…

google does almost any language you want…but it cant do a full page unless it has a page cached on the internet already…if you need full page translation then use bablyon, but for everything else google translate is the way to go

hmmm…im not sure when they updated…but they let you enter alternate translations manually to help the translator learn the language

it has spanish and hebrew…but it is very inaccurate. most machine translators are. personally the best translator ive seen out there…(and dont laugh, this is true) is google translate. (translate.google.com) it is very accurate.

like i said the fixation on smoking may be mental but the nicotine does create a physical addiction. the body itself craves it…the reason people dont stop even though they know its harmful is mental.
when you throw in the detergent throw in a bunch of baking soda as well…and besides, your chulent will be better the next week anyway, what with the years of accumulated smells and layers 😀

i agree. obesity increases the RISKS of heart disease and diabetes…however smoking DIRECTLY causes lung cancer and emphysema…not to mention heart disease. if the lungs are providing the heart with less oxygen to pass round the body, the heart must pump harder and faster, thus severely weakening the heart.
as it happens the addiction aspect is purely physical. it is a physical need as much as it is a physical need for a person to breath. the only mental aspect of the addiction might be the fixation…but as far as the addiction itself the need for nicotine is a physical need. not a mental need.

oomis is right, although while obesity itself may not be a habit…that eating style is…but like you said it has no impact on others. besides, its completely irrelevant shifting the focus of the conversation to obesity has no bearing on the fact that smoking is deadly! and the funny thing is, that on a donut there is no sign that says “EATING KILLS!!!” however EVERY cigarette carton has a dire warning to all smokers about the dangers within…i call it selective blindness :D:D:D

granted…obesity is a problem…but honestly smoking is an easier problem to solve than obesity, and anyway just because one thing is wrong does not make another thing right
