I understand your predicament but you have to look at it both ways. Why are they asking for females? Is it because its an all girl office? Are they willing to train in someone new and inexperienced for less pay?

If its an office of girls would YOU want to be the odd man out (excuse the pun). In addition it can cause the female wokers there to be uncomfortable with a male colleague in their midst.

Also not necessarily is it easy for a graduate to find a job. When i was looking after hi school, most of the jobs that i applied for was looking for experience.

    Hatzlacha finding a job.

    The power of a smile:

He smiled at his grumpy boss,

Who in turn at his wife was less cross,

    It lit up her mood,

    As she fed her brood,

So smile- just remember to floss!

P.s. i was gonna start it with “she” but wasn’t sure how that will fly here 🙂

I think its a very thoughtful thing to do! As long as it said once and not very loud just as a low reminder I don’t see anything wrong. And as for concentration- rather let someone “disturb” you then finishing your tefilla and having to say it over again.

    JURY Duty Scam

Pass this on to your grown children and anyone else you can think of.

This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below).

Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is

spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us

take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip

out on their civic duty that a new and ominous kind of fraud has

    surfaced.

The caller claims to be a jury DUTY coordinator. If you protest

that you never received a summons for jury duty, the Scammer asks you

for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can

verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of

this information and bingo, your identity was just stolen.

The fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma ,

Illinois , and Colorado , AZ and more. This (swindle) is particularly

insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully

people into giving information by pretending they are with the court

    system.

The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on

their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud.

    Check it out here:

    http://www.fbi.gov/page2/june06/jury_scams060206.htm

    And here:

    http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/juryduty.asp

Adorable- I just read this thread for the first time and i think i understand what you are saying. (If Im off base then at least this is what I think)

In high school (at least mine) all our worries were what we were going to score on our chemistry and math regent. We were in our little cacoon of tests, shabbatons and play and never really understood what our teachers meant by internet is bad and certain places are bad. You knew that it will never affect you.

Now that you are out of school in the working world and single, there are no teachers guiding you and naturally you get pulled by certain attractions that you never knew existed. Especially now that there are more worries (shidduchim, work issues….) Its nice to find other means to make you happy, so you turn to other things. (email, websites..) Even on kosher sites there can be innapropriate things! Now you feel that your not that sweet aidel BY girl anymore.

You still are!! Just move on and the fact that you its bothering you is a good feeling. Im not sure what exactly is making you feel unpure but whatever it is you are obviously smarter not to go there again. Also try to attend speeches once in awhile or do something that makes you feel pure (i still keep my 12th grade chesed job and it makes me feel so good!)

    B’hatzlacha!
