Yes, no, yes, no… finally she decides to leave it open. She goes in the car and the guy looks at her and says, ” close the button” She says, “oh i am so sorry i didn’t realize it was open..” And she closes her shirt button. The guy looks at her and tells her, ” I was actually reffering to the button by your window!”

September 6, 2010 4:18 pm at 4:18 pm in reply to: Help Yedei Chesed win the Pepsi Refresh Project! #695811blinkyParticipant72- Last time i texted it, i got back a text that confirmed that my vote was counted, but when i did it again, I didn’t receive that confirmation, so does that mean my second vote wasn’t counted?
blinkyParticipantartchill- you seem to really still hold a grudge toward a certain poster- maybe its not such a good idea right before the yamim noraim- bu if the poster did not contact you in any way maybe just let it go. (just my advice)
September 6, 2010 3:48 pm at 3:48 pm in reply to: Help Yedei Chesed win the Pepsi Refresh Project! #695810blinkyParticipantJust did it again;) Mod 72, keep on updating us!

September 3, 2010 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm in reply to: Shomrim Member Shot – What Are Your Thoughts? #694588blinkyParticipantShikur- As much as its safer for them to be armed, i don’t think they can take the chance of having a gun in their home where there are children- its too risky. But I do think they should have some protection- a bulletproof vest or s/t.
September 3, 2010 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm in reply to: Help Yedei Chesed win the Pepsi Refresh Project! #695790blinkyParticipantI actually used the texting option, but i know the link i received is correct so here it is:

blinkyParticipant“People who display contempt for and make entire groups of people into caricatures”.
Artchill if its me I hope you are mochel me. I had started a thread which might have fallen into that category- though i dont think i “displayed contempt” I was just having a discussion. But i know you didn’t appreciate it. And to anyone else I might have offended- it was unintentional. Nevertheless, I would like to start off the yr. with a clean slate and i hope all is forgiven. Kesiva vechasima tova to all.
September 3, 2010 2:41 pm at 2:41 pm in reply to: Help Yedei Chesed win the Pepsi Refresh Project! #695788blinkyParticipantYup me too, i received it yesterday as an email and sent it on.
blinkyParticipantThats exactly how it was by me! My first taste was ewww, the second was “so this is what everyone is crazy over?” The third was- “ok its good!”
blinkyParticipantActually, I think the same thing! I dont eat the real fish ones- i eat the veggie ones. Its the same thing except there is no fish. Its pretty good.
blinkyParticipantSame way as MBD became “Modche”
blinkyParticipantCheck out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sushi
blinkyParticipantAwww! You are missing out! (kidding) You could go check out any of the stores mentioned above;)
blinkyParticipantKasha- your joking, right?
blinkyParticipantJust to add onto my post- They have very good non-fish sushi, I can’t tell you about the other ones cuz i don’t like the fish ones. But im sure their fish ones are good.
blinkyParticipantBP Totty- i hope so too
p.s. Why can’t you just mail it to the school of your choice?
blinkyParticipantSushi meshuna on 13th ave and on Sushi K-Bar on 16th are pretty good….IM SO IN THE MOOD!!
blinkyParticipantBP Totty- its the second type of school that you mentioned- however they can fit into other schools, if they would let them.
blinkyParticipantminyan gal- Please let us know how it went we are all concerned about you.
blinkyParticipantill let you know… But dont count on the school reopening (major issues)
blinkyParticipantI actually know of a school that just closed down and 8 girls don’t have a place to go…And ALL schools have been coontacted and rabbanim were involved and all the schools said there is no room. So as much as i would like to agree with you kasha, some ppl stil don’t have a place to go.
blinkyParticipantMod 80, Well said.
blinkyParticipantMy Israeli cousins came in to NY and we were in a grocery store. I noticed a name of a nosh was called “adashim”. So i told my cousin (probably 4 then), “Hey look this has a hebrew word-“adashim”! She looks at me and says in her accent, “Zeh loh adashim, zeh Adasheeem (in a strong israeli accent- emphasizing the end of the word). It was too funny!
blinkyParticipantBy the way, the goyim notice that we dress differently and some really respect it. It shows how special we are when we act and dress more refined. I was in a department store last summer and a security guad asked me how come we dress in long sleeves in the summer. I wasnt gonna give him a whole hashkafah laesson so i just said something about modesty- I think he was impressed. It was a good feeling to know that we are noticed that we dress more refined.
blinkyParticipantimanonov- Good one!!!
blinkyParticipantThe only bed bugs I have is when my younger siblings decide to join me…
blinkyParticipantYour welcome! I’ll have to go home and check exactly how to make the head of the fish, thats an interesing and an oldie too….
blinkyParticipantApple in the honey has been passed down for many generations in my home. Its very easy- cut up an apple and dip it in honey. 😉
Enjoy!
blinkyParticipantthanx mod
blinkyParticipantHere is an updated list! (Mr. 80 you seem to be like a yo-yo, you can change again to vanilla if you’d like…)
Chcolate mint chip-6
Vanilla-5
Pistachio-3
Cookie dough-3
Cookies and cream-4
Coffee-2
Chocolate-2
blinkyParticipant“BYBP (like most girls schools) is overstaffed. Let them try the boys school model (1 teacher for limude kodiesh, 2-3 for secular studies). And the buses for girls over 12 and those within 6 blocks of the school should be ended.”
In response to BP Tottys comment, only 6th grade and up have more than one teacher for limudei kodesh and english studies, so I don’t think they are overstaffed. Also buses are eliminated for 6th grade (if I do remember correctly)
Also mods can you change the title of the thread. “Crises” is spelled wrong- it should be “crisis” (After all i went to BYBP- I know my spelling!!!)
[Done. – Mod]
blinkyParticipantOh no! I think vanilla is outnumbered by chocholate mint chip!!! We’ll have to recount the recent flavors.
blinkyParticipantRefuah Shelaima! I will i”h be mispallel for you.
August 31, 2010 6:31 pm at 6:31 pm in reply to: Custom or very good sheitles for under $1000 #739975blinkyParticipantWhy privately? We can all benefit from this info!
blinkyParticipantIts a public newspaper, not a kids magazine. Who is it catering to? If the parents are concerned about their kids, they should pull out that section!
blinkyParticipantWhy not? Though i have no interest in it myself other ppl like to read it over their morning coffee. All different kinds of ppl read the newspapers…
blinkyParticipantaqua- in regards to “baggy tights”- halacha is that your knees have to be covered so obviously anything below that is fine so wearing fitted tights is fine.
blinkyParticipantJust my 2 cents- there is s/t called halacha and there is s/t called “in the spirit of the law”. A tank top with a shell underneath, might be halachically tzniyus- meaning if it covers e/t and is not too tight…but for some reason it doesn’t have a tzniyus look. Its the same thing with ultra long skirts- it covers e/t, yet when it is worn it doen’t have that tzniyus look. So i don’t think its halachaically not OK. Though i am in no way advocating it.
blinkyParticipantI don’t know halachically, but in my house its Ok to do so as long as its not to showy.
