The question was if I should go back to my old yeshiva where I was shtieging well but had a few issues, for example, waking up for Shachris and rebbe told me I learnt very well but didn’t ”SHTEL TSU’ and therefore suggested it would be better off for you to leave. And the new place I am in basicly shuts down at 530,[didn’t know till 2nd in to zman as theyre were 5 people night seder) and the only thing keeping me to stay is a great rosh yeshiva and lumdush shiur, Should I speak to my rebbe and go back,

I found the right yeshiva for you. Its Heichal Shmuel, On Ave O E 10th st. I have been there for a year, and its very shtark, matzav. The rebbeim are very warm and bochurim really get involved . And they Have a program for Touro College guys twice a week for some who feel the could use it. They are very open to other colleges as well if you ask for it.

I love how people ask these questions to people in the coffee room. You need to go to your local Rav to get the proper eitzah, and what his psak is

When you decide learning with Artscroll saves me time ,and it’s pointless leaning it up my own.

Yes Boraslinos are better in every way. A, The look is by far much better on a person,( why would people be diffrent hats for Shabbos or have a diffrent hat at all for Shabbos)) ??? ???(. It’s a better hat. 2nd they are not stiff like other cheap hats. 3rd, they’re much lighter then those cheap hats which weight a ton and could bother you during davening. 4rth- Make sure you have a travel box to keep it in good use. 5 Make sure you buy it form a place that doesn’t just stack them one top of another, but from a real place where it’s in box already. 6 Buy it during Bein Hazmanim. You get better rates, or if you buy with a friend, you can get batter rate, just look around. Unfortunately these day there mead expensive and keep going up. But remember you get what you pay for

I got rejected from some yeshiva not going to mention but mainly because I did not wear a hat for the faher. I gave a wild chaburah and did very well but because of this ‘HAT’ I got rejected , people have to look beyond the hat these days. There are so many bums I know who would never take off their hat and don’t know a famous Rambam or how to lein up a gemara and are just baal gaayvos for no reason. This whole situation has to be fixed somehow BH

if we were in the dor of the chofetz chaim wigs would be assur altogether as its a breach in snius as baba sali says one who wears a wig will burn together with her wig in gehinom. I would be hesitant after looking at this majot shitah.

They said about rav Nosson tzvi how he used to go around the bais medrash and ask where your holding and he would tell them that you have to go further and that you are spending too long on a certain sugya. Rav Ovadia zatzal used to say about bochurim who learn 2 or 3 blatt from elul to pesach and said that u have pick up ground. And I’ll tell you a lot of times u don’t have to put fingers up and down to find pshat of gemara when its a mefurash gemara elsewhere. Bekius is a foundation for iyun.

Very Interesting, but what was R’ Elya Ber thought about this. Baruch Hashem the rebbeim say He asks kashyas from all over the place and he should keep on going further.
