Bina: I didn’t pull a joseph, it really is my father, and I had nothing to do with his post.
didn’t think it was your style.
okay, so welcome to the cr abba bar dad.
hanibParticipantLOL!!!!! just saw my new subtitle. very funny, moderator ?.
hanibParticipanti’ve used the cr for good – i’ve learned how to italicize and now i’ve learned how to type in bold. being in the cr is not only peaceful; it’s also educational. 🙂
hanibParticipantlooks like i wasn’t able to cut and paste that cool thing you did with the line down when quoting me and pba.
hanibParticipantoh, i went to that thread and it’s closed now. oh well, i was gonna post what you wrote in bold – okay, i’ll do it anyways, here. no point in letting a thread get too peaceful.
DY – pba claims that he takes hashkafa and halacha seriously.
PBA -Yes, I suppose this thread puts a bit of question mark on that.
hanibParticipantDY – looks like the thread re-opened; i didn’t even know it had closed (guess my answer was too controversial). 😉
thanks. mbachur answered me in the previously closed, re-opened thread.
and guess you were right. actually, i think it would be better if i could do that cool thing that you do – i think i’ll just cut and paste your reply to me.
hanibParticipantthanks, mbachur
pba – ah, so you were pulling a joseph on us. i tried finding the post now – either it disappeared or i keep missing it, but i thought the person was arguing against pba.
hanibParticipantthank you bina.
I agree with everything you said except the third line.
don’t worry about that. you’re just human.
it’s hard for most people to admit when they are wrong. 😉
By the way, is aba bar dad, any relation to pba or just an attempt to copy the origianl?
hanibParticipantYes, I suppose this thread puts a bit of question mark on that.
i would put that line in BOLD if i knew how, so everyone can see it. unfortunately, the only thing i learned how to do in the CR was to italicize. 🙁
hanibParticipantyou’re welcome.
hanibParticipant🙂
hanibParticipantlol!
hanibParticipantthanks. 🙂
hanibParticipantMaybe I wanted to earn it back, so that it wouldn’t be ???? ???????.
lol! (though i think that this sentence is actually truth; leading us to believe that truth can be funnier than fiction).
hanibParticipantactually, the diabetes thread is very impressive – somehow, i don’t think pba’s thread is gonna last as long as the diabetes one.
i would compare the threads to the toroise and the hare. the tortoise won the race.
hanibParticipantfor thse who get upset, don’t take everything you read so seriously. some people like to argue and to think “out of the box”. skip those threads, if you don’t enjoy them. althoough we all are Jews, we do all have different temperaments and different tastes; that’s why there are so many threads – so we can say, “that’s the thread, i don’t post in.” 🙂
hanibParticipantpba just started this thread cuz he didn’t like having “member” as his subtitle, and he’s too “cool” to ask for his subtitle back. 😉
DY – pba claims that he takes hashkafa and halacha seriously.
anyways, can’t answer this question cuz in pba’s own definition of what is judaism he excludes what women do. it’s all in your definiton. if definition of Jew, means coming from Avraham, Yitzchok, and Yaakov, then women are also Jews. (which is how Torah defines Jews; thus we, men and women, are all B’nei Yisroel – we all are called “children of Ya’akov, whose name was changed to Yisroel). thus, reform, conservative, and orthodox whose mothers, etc. go way back to Yaakov are Jews. someone who did not convert appropriately and did not descend from a jewish mother isn’t Jewish, even if he has a bris, keeps shabbos, etc. etc.
if someone makes up their own definiton and therefore proves that women are not Jewish based on that definition, can’t argue. can’t argue with proofs when the basic theorem is all wrong.
hanibParticipantbet that was a lot of fun.
but you’re not mod. 80, so we don’t have to let you have the last word. 😉
hanibParticipantscary.
hanibParticipantlol!
hanibParticipantWelcome Back! i’m glad you saw this thread.
nope, never mentioned where i have lived – but did mention Tov Pizza and Mama Leah’s on the pizza thread. 😉
small world.
hanibParticipantGood Shabbos, everyone!
hanibParticipanti’m sure they have, or at least i imagine so.
he may be feeling hurt or annoyed with the CR, so i want him to know that he IS wanted here.
hanibParticipantfor the hashkafah of tznius – Gila Manolson’s book and 6 diaries are great – self-taught.
hanibParticipantnobody wants to admit that anyone they know has ever had lice. but, i agree, still must comb. vinegar is supposed to loosen the nits. also, even better than just putting on conditioner is to put on conditioner and then wrap hair in seran wrap for a few hours (can be overnight). then rinse out hair. put in tons of conditioner again, and then comb.
do this every few days, until totally gone (cuz you might have missed some nits. and then once a week for a few weeks, just to be completely sure.
what’s the toenail fungus cure?
hanibParticipanti agree with DY
hanibParticipantdo you mean growth hormones?
hanibParticipanthoyde lahashem – i agree with you, even though my school did try to answer questions – i don’t think many of them knew how at that time. it seems to me that more schools are learning how to address theses issues; though, it also seems that now there are so many, many more issues besides the basic philosophical questions.
saddest thing is for those kids who leave highschool thinking they know what yiddeshkeit it, but in reality they have no clue.
hanibParticipantgorgeous – i don’t see any excuse for ANY teacher to respond like that!
it must be hard to let that go. find other people who you can trust to ask your questions.
and, by the way, that is a great, good-thinking question.
the sad thing is when adults respond way your teacher did, people tend to think that there are no answers. truth is there are great answers, just not everyone is equipped and knowledgable enough to answer them.
good luck, gorgeous. All Jews have a chelek in Olam Haba -look at Pirkei Avos.
May 5, 2011 6:39 pm at 6:39 pm in reply to: How Many Ways Does The Tax Code Incentivize Home Ownership #764214hanibParticipantwelcome back!
hanibParticipantMin haMAYtzar karasikah, anani vameirchav kah.
hanibParticipanteclipse: 🙂
hanibParticipanti really believed it was closed, but then i saw the reply line.
very cute. 🙂
hanibParticipantThanks!
Health, where are you? Please come back!
hanibParticipantlol
hanibParticipantnot-kosher cellphone, so if need help and there is no klita, can text message.
hanibParticipantyes, but as health admitted on another thread – some people are not born with social wisdom. it’s a very difficult life for some who are born with mathematic, scientific smartness but not emotional smartness. we are all born with different strengths. i feel that health should be allowed on here – i truly don’t believe he ever meant to be hurtful to others. i know people like him, and their whole self-worth is their brains, so if they feel threatened that they’re not smarter than others, it’s like someone’s taking away their oxygen, so they’ll fight back as we would if we couldn’t breathe.
i think the CR is a great place for Health to get support, and to gently learn when it is that he is being hurtful.
i truly believe health is a very nice guy who needs our support and respect; and i strongly think he should be allowed back on.
and i like what he says – though i don’t always agree with him.
hanibParticipanti didn’t understand this at first – now i realize you’re really open, you just have a closed sign on your door.
i think you can’t just put up a closed sign – you need the key to lock the door.
hanibParticipanteclipse – soon you’re going to know everyone in the CR. 🙂
hanibParticipantwalking briskly, doing a puzzle, or writing, writing, writing, until the anger burns off.
hanibParticipantoh…zeeskite..that’s what the sprays do – they kill them for only 3 months?!? now i understand. thanks.
lol!
hanibParticipantmbachur: 🙂
that’s funny that your friend actually started backing away.
hanibParticipantoops. sorry.
hanibParticipants2021 – may be true; but if you’re looking for a mentch, i’d imagine that he’d appreciate a mentchess. if you’re looking for some kind of cool, but not mentch guy – he might like that if you act like a princess snob.
so, i guess it depends on what kind of guy you want to attract. 🙂
hanibParticipanthey thanks mod 80. that’s a very nice thing to say.
i guess you also figured it out right away. 😉
hanibParticipantthe goq: good answer. 🙂
hanibParticipantoh, so i guess i got the right answer – does that say something good or bad about me?
hanibParticipanthanibParticipantfor, some reason, maybe, she thought the guy would appear again at the funeral of her sister, and this time she’ll ask the guy for his name and number?
hanibParticipantBy the way….I was joking about my ‘grenades’.
thanks for clarifying. 😉
