Putins rewrite of history is all factually wrong. Here is part of an article in Time:
” Ukrainians have been quick to point out that Kyiv was founded hundreds of years earlier than Moscow, and that Ukraine has its own distinct language and customs.

“Part of the reason that Ukraine has never had stable statehood is because of Russia,” says David Patrikarakos, an author of two books about foreign affairs and non-resident fellow at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
He says that Putin deliberately ignored the long history of Ukrainian nationalism, including the country’s war of independence against the Soviets that began in 1917, and its resistance to Soviet rule after World War II. “There has been a strong impulse of Ukrainian nationalism for at least the last century, and [of] the Russians just slapping them down militarily,” Patrikarakos says. “And that’s continuing today.”
Every people has the fundamental right of self determination.
The people of Ukraine are not ethnic Russians they are ethnic Ukranians and they have a right to their land. They are a sovereign country recognized by the world and ancient history is irrelevant.

B”H we have Biden as president.
People here don’t realize that no one knows where this will end. We live in our daled amos and don’t care too much about things going on in far away places.
But it is possible for this conflict to extend beyond Ukraine. It might spill over to the neighboring Baltic States who are NATO members or Poland. With Putin we can never be sure. The best chance to deter Putin is through a unified NATO and EU. But with Trump in office NATO was beginning to unravel. The trans- Atlantic alliance was beginning to strain, and it is highly doubtful that Trump would be able to rally the world like Biden has. With Trump in office Putin for sure would not stop with Ukraine his next victims would be Estonia Latvia and Lithuania, triggering a terrible land war in Europe the likes of which we have not seen since WW2. That would be a tragic outcome and would cost many many lives Hashem Yishmor.
With Biden there is at least a chance to stop Putin’s aggression. Especially when he feels the full force of sanctions. Trump says he had a great relationship with Putin but he also said that about Kim Jung Un and we all know what that got him- zero!

Very difficult topic. If the main thing is the dvar torah regardless of the author where do we draw the line? We may view Rav Kook as a true Gadol and many thousands do. But on the other hand many view him in a not so positive way ( to put it mildly). The same with the Rav (as his admirers called him)
So is it OK to learn Torah from anyone? Or is it better to stay away from his teachings because you might get influenced? Many Gedolim held the latter. So it boils down to what your Rebbe or Rosh Yeshiva holds. This is not something you should decide on your own.

Hamodia is owned by Ger established by Ger Just like the Yid is owned by Satmar (zalman Leib). They try to be neutral except when it comes to Ger. The current Gerrer Rebbe is the one who encouraged Hamodia to come out with a daily edition. Ger supports Hamodia financially. It is general knowledge that Chasidic papers tow their party line. For that matter Litvish papers such as Yated also tow their party line, they are pro “Gedolim” Degel Hatorah. Whoever is the current Litvish Gadol Hador according to Degel Hatorah. Hamodia is Pro- Aguda the Yid is Anti- Aguda Nobody is neutral! There is no such thing as a purely journalistic paper that covers newsworthy Jewish new!s its always according to party lines! Anyone who does not know this was born yesterday.
