Can an employer fire someone due to too much bathroom use at work?

An employer can fire an employee for almost any reason (the exceptions are generally in cases of discrimination). If you have a doctor’s diagnosis of a particular illness you can get some legal protection from being discriminated against.

Part of their job is to know when their intervantion is needed. Why do people need to ask here at what stage they should be called at?

It’s better that they be called when not needed, than not called when needed.

Jerusalem is mentioned in the torah the same number of times as Lakewood

Back then Jerusalem was known as Shalem. I have no idea what Lakewood was called.

But many people use the Mesorah not just to determine the Halacha but to determine historcal facts and when historical facts are discovered that controdict their “Mesorah based history”, they won’t accept those historical facts.

The exhibit, sponsored by Israel antiquities, also says they have 500 bible-related artifacts. I don’t see much interest in it by the frum velt. Trying to understand why.

The existance of Pharisee texts that differ from the Aleppo Codex is not something that they want to acknowledge.

What difference does it make if thay were written by Essenes or Sadducees?

dunno, staples has a decent computer for $350 now until Wed. they are also running a special of 15% off everything you can fit into a bag they give you. if they let you combine the two you can get the computer for about $300 now before black friday.

You are supposed to read the fine print.

    I wanna get a new 8gb ipod?

Apple generally doesn’t allow their resellers to offer their products cheaper but resellers are allowed to and sometimes bundle free iTunes credits (or other accesories) with iPods. On Black Friday the Apple stores usually discount their products by about 10%.

The mods wouldn’t let my first response through but my point was that NK members are treated worse than molesters and murderers.

The “younger” singles you are taking shidduchim away from, will quickly become the “older” singles you are attempting to help in 2 or 3 years.

    And another $500 for NASI.

We do know firsthand that HKBH created the world, even if we didn’t physically see it ourselves.

Having evidence is not the same thing as firsthand knowledge.

It’s also something that I have no firsthand knowledge of.

Thet question is irrelevant. The question shoud be, what is the extent of the issur?

    am yisrael chai;

I hope you have a mechanical license, otherwise it is copyright enfringement. The good news (but not for you) is that you can get a mechanical license even if the copyright holder doesn’t want to license it, the bad news is that you can’t get a compulsory mechanical license after an infringement.

The Chilul Hashem was made by the non-Jewish provocateur

How is that possible? IIRC a Chillul Hashem (and Kiddush Hashem) can only be made by a Jew.

Does the entire minyan take an intermission?

It depends when the tenth left. For example if he left during the repitition the chazzan continues with the repitition and the kaddish following it.

I’m not refering to instances where someone joins a community that has different minhagim than his own (or previous community). I’m talking about when someone is davening with a different community as a guest or on a temporary basis without being a member of it.

Here’s an interesting quote from the NYCDOT website

The Division of Franchises, Concessions and Consents grants permission to applicants to occupy or use space on, over or under the City streets and sidewalks, charging fees for these uses.

A franchise is a contract between a company and the City. The company provides a public service. Examples are certain private bus routes and conduits for gas and electric utilities.

Franchises generally require legislative authority and are granted for a limited term of years following a public bidding process.

Concessions may be granted to do business on City property. Examples include food courts on public plazas. Concessions are granted for a fixed number of years following a public bidding process.

Revocable Consents may be granted to permit the use of public space for private purposes. Examples include accessibility ramps adjacent to private property, as well as steam pipes and telecommunication conduits underground. Revocable consents are granted for a limited number of years after a formal review process.

Note that certain private bus routes provide a public service.

The Arizal stated that his nussach can be used by all of Klal Yisroel.

The Ashkenazi Poskim generally state that one should follow his own minhaggim.

The Rabbonim instituted the seperation. So clearly this is a Kiddush Hashem to follow the Rabbonim’s determination of what is best for members of Klal Yisroel and thus what Hashem wants.

But is it a Kiddush Hashem or Chillul Hashem to coerce those who aren’t following those Rabbonim?

The MTA has a Government Monopoly on transit routes within NYC. The various long distance operators (Monsey, Monroe, Lakewood) have licenses to pick up passengers but they cannot take passengers from Brooklyn to Manhattan because they lack franchises.

the Monsey bus is an interstate route

It’s not that simple, AFAIK they don’t make stops in New Jersey. Their Baltimore route is operated by their charter division (although I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a seperate “tour organizer” involved).

The article I read is somewhat confusing, stating that if they were truely a private entity they would be allowed to be segregated. But is it even legal to operate a bus route without a franchise? (Like operating a taxi without a medallion.)

I am not 100% sure here, but I think some of the servers at Masbia as paid, While there are some volunteers it seems thats it tough to get full time volunteers to serve the food at Masbia.

The Soup kitchens are almost all volunteers and all donations can go to help the hungry eat.

It’s almost impossible to run a commercial kitchen entirely with vollenteers and still comply with food safety (documentation) requirements.

It’s unlikely any ended up in exotic locations (regardless of assertions that some ended up in India or Ethiopia).

At the time India and Ethiopia weren’t exotic locations.

he addresses the claim that some Inca Indians found in Peru are from the “lost tribes”.

It was Ecuador, not Peru (and not all natives of South America were Inca).
