I understand the meaning (for the most part) of what I’m saying, and there are times, like during shemonah esray, where I do feel what I’m saying- but for the most part- if I’m going to be honest- I feel like I need to “do davening”, like I have to brush my teeth- before beginning my day. And can’t wait to get it over with and out of the way.
The Little I Know- it is a special invitation that Hashem gives us to speak to him three times a day. Why miss such a chance?- because if I said, e.g. (that’s for you, rebyid23) ashrei twice already, I feel silly and redundant saying it again, especially with the same kavanah. And it doesn’t work, for me.
