@WIY ~ I heard once that in Kaballah it says that you shouldn’t have any hair behind your ears when Davening Shemoneh Esrei, I’m not exactly sure as to the reason for that though…
@shlishi ~ What’s wrong with having one’s Peyos behind one’s ear?
@always here ~ I like the way you call them ‘foot-longs’ ;), I do the same, but not for it to dry, cuz in order to curl them up behind your ear you need it to be wet, I guess it’s just laziness, and he doesn’t do as long as he doesn’t have to (that’s my reason at least)…
aWebDeveloperParticipantI’m a Chaveirim member in BP, and I’ve had more crazy stories than the amount of characters that I can type here (and there’s no limit ;)), anywhere from a lady in BP asking me to fix her tire while she takes her Son with another car to the Monsey bus stop, to going to Manhattan for a car lockout, and sitting in traffic (took me over an hour to get to him), and after calling (and texting) me every 5 minutes to ask where I was, had the audacity to scream at me when I got to him…
Regarding the tips, here in BP most members only take tips when they need to buy new equipment, which can be kinda expensive at times (I have close to $1000 worth of equipment), since the organization has no income and therefore can’t buy the equipment themselves…
As far as the amount is concerned, when it’s a local minor issue then no tip is due, but if it’s a flat in the Summer, or you’re somewhere in the Boondocks, it would be nice to show your appreciation, and any amount even a dollar – if given sincerely, will be just enough to say thank you…
aWebDeveloperParticipantI just took two Masechtas in Mishnayos, I’ll tell my wife to take some Lashon Harahless hours, and maybe some Tehillim. Thanx for posting this…

aWebDeveloperParticipantHi I’m a professional Web Developer, I just signed up so I can reply to ‘Porty’, contrary to popular belief w3scools.com is in no way affiliated with the ‘w3c’ (World Wide Web Consortium, those that make the web standards), they actually have A LOT of mistakes on their website, learning from them will only get you used to bad coding, go to http://www.w3fools.com and see what they have to say.
P.S. To answer OPs question, I went to an expensive school in Manhattan, and I’m a ‘Developer’ not a ‘Designer’…
Good luck on whatever you end up doing…
