    The only problem with publishing it now, even with a name change, is that people who really know me will also know that I’m anonymisss here. Hmmm…

    areivim, it definitely gave me a different perspective. I hope to keep it, it’s so easy to forget these things.

    Why yidden are the best:

    I went to Lakewood yesterday and on the SIE there was terrible traffic. When I finally neared the exit, I saw that a frum couple had been in an accident. Three other frum people stopped to help them. Isn’t that beautiful? Mi K’amcha Yisroel!

    yossi, there’s no time limit. Just don’t get yourself sucked into rehab. It’s a bad addiction and really hard to get out of! Beware!

    mepal, reminds me of one summer, upstate, my brother had a serious allergic reaction and went into anaphylactic shock. One of the Hatzalah guys who came was this chassidish guy. My little 10 yr old brother is sitting there with an oxygen mask on his face and he says to my brother, “tell me da trut, I don’t bite. Do you feel tight in your choke?” (You really have to hear it with the accent, he still imitates it!)

    Oomis, I don’t look at my scar as a price that I paid for a miracle.

    You know when you go on a trip, how the souvenir shop is of utmost importance? It’s crucial to purchase a little keychain that says Niagara Falls or Disney World or whatever on it, regardless of the fact that owning the keychain will require you to leave behind about $10, right? Now you’ll always have a tangible reminder that I was there!

    That’s my scar, it’s a souvenir. So I had to leave $10 (or my unblemished hand) in the “souvenir shop.” Who cares? As long as I have my souvenir aka scar, that serves as my constant reminder that I was there!

    Hey, Mr. Mod, can you remind me please how long it takes for a new thread to start? the definitve answer is: it depends on numerous factors. I know it was pretty long but do you think one of the very busy mods will have time to read it?
