We’ll just agree to disagree.
There’s modding here, and I don’t see how teens will be approached negatively here.
Even if we know which yeshiva a brother attended.

You are clearly looking for words ending with a SUFFIX that mean “his” and not just root words ending in the cholem hay

challenge the belief but not the believer…
There should be no personal belittling.

One could open up any phone book to get names and addresses, or check it up online.
No one is offering birthdates and social security numbers.
There’s not much one can do knowing which school you are attending.
Or attended.
Or camp, for that matter.
am yisrael chaiParticipantSyag, how did the rest of Yo”t go for you?
Thank you, yit, I’ll look into it now be”H…too bad I didn’t have time to go on the computer Hoshana Raba, it sure might have helped the last 3 days

That’s why when I read the article and it referenced the video, there was NO way I was going to watch it. SEEING is not the same as hearing.
The article referenced another incident where someone needed help, and they believe it was a westerner, probably American, who aided and then quietly left.
It’s a different culture. Perhaps after this, things may change there.
The incident reminds us of kids in other places who are abused and not protected. And that’s quite painful.
am yisrael chaiParticipantok, I get it.
If you out-of-towners take too long to get back to me, there’s absolutely no way to join in time.
Thanks for the invite(?) anyway.
am yisrael chaiParticipantGoq
Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate your good wishes. It was SO nice for me to read your last sentence, what a compliment! I clearly remember one of our earlier discussions when I’d first joined the cr and you were lamenting about busybodies in the supermarket eyeing your purchases…and I promptly asked you what you’d purchased 😉
Anyhow, it’s not my nature to invite myself out. Anyhow, many people prefer not having company the last 2 days as shuls let out at different times due to hakafos.
As mentioned earlier, I don’t have family here. Friends are with their own families. I omitted a part before, the chai on the temporary aycamyisraelchai on the gmail account if ok, sorry in advance.
Your last line is giving me chizuk, as we as humans all need a kind word every so often, and now is that perfect time for me.
I wish you could find your basherte soon and that you should experience a great marriage. Hoshana Raba is a great time for a great kvitel, so daven your heart out…I so like to dabble in shidduchim in real life, wish I or someone else could be the shaliach really soon.
October 19, 2011 4:48 am at 4:48 am in reply to: The Judgement I passed on the CR, at first #1030070am yisrael chaiParticipantWhat a great post, always runs with scissors fast!
To answer your last question first, NO! Hashem in His kindness granted many gifts, so I don’t feel like a loser. Davka the opposite, I feel the cr is a great tool to HELP other yidden in a way that doesn’t always avail itself in real life.
In addition, there’s quite a bit of learning going on here. You can find lots of divrei Torah and links to shiurim and sfarim. And people are generally helpful and supportive here, even if it’s sharing recipes!
You yourself say that it’s afforded you friendship and motivation, among other things, so that definitely doesn’t satisfy bitul zman!
Hopefully it’s also teaching you not to be judgmental as you were initially, even of yourself.
am yisrael chaiParticipantkoillel101
It depends how you spin it.
Isn’t it nice that the nieces call their aunts and include them in the Yo”T, unlike some others?
The aunt can actually tell the nieces how much it means to her that they called, that it makes her so happy, and welcomes their calls right before Shabbos, if they have time. (not so formidable to the nieces as there is not much time to talk at that time!)

Thanks for describing the out of body experience. If she remembers any more, please share. She must be so grateful that somehow she’ll love her life differently.
Glad to hear you are healing and that there’s no more infection.
Be”H you should continue to heal and be WELL on your way to complete health.

am yisrael chaiParticipantHas anyone considered the possibility that the rebbe was indeed ???? to be the ???? but we were not ??????? for him to come???
And, no, I’m not Lub., but there are MANY people frum today because of them and it is certainly easier to travel most places because of them.
am yisrael chaiParticipantDo what others have done in your situation:
speak to the teacher in advance regarding your dilemma and if the teacher can prepare in advance extra stimulating work for you…
even if you begin with other meforshim followed by Nechama Leibovitz or categorizing different topics or comparing similar root words with different meanings or even working with a girl struggling with the subject…or the teacher can create her own workbook for you…
just remember to thank Hashem for the gift and not let others feel bad
am yisrael chaiParticipantI read that the payout would be less costly if she passed than if she’d need prolonged medical care, prompting the initial driver to move on…

You’re describing dissociation to a T
Resulting from some trauma usually
There are those who do specialize in this
So your greatness may shine with nothing amiss!
am yisrael chaiParticipantwhoa, sam4321 and BaalHabooze, these are great!
am yisrael chaiParticipantadorable-thanks, I do thank Hashem for what I had, but it doesn’t make me feel joyous at present
BaalHabooze-thank you for your understanding.
Right now out of town sounds GREAT as I’d like to be far, far away from here, and no, I have no family here. Made a temporary place if ok with mods aycamyisrael on the gmail account for specifics, if you wish.May I ask where OOT? Don’t know how to get through the next few days isolated
matziv chapper-thank you for the vort; if you could post the link that prints it all online, Hebrew or English, that would be very helpful.
yitayningwut-thank you for the chizuk. If you could post the link that prints it all online, Hebrew or English, that would be very helpful.
SYAG- that’s so great that you were able to pull it together. This speaks to your courage and inner strength. Thank you for your offer, that’s extremely kind!y!
As far as spending time with people who make me feel good, they are busy with their own families. As much as I don’t like to ask for favors, I did mention that YO”T is difficult being alone but I’ve not been called much to join…
I’ve read books on the topic which vividly describe holiday time and birthdays, etc., as being particularly difficult and is normal to feel this way.
This still won’t change my nature to help others be”H, but it sure hurts
am yisrael chaiParticipantSyag Lchochma
I understand you. If you do ask the rav, please let us know.
I’m glad at least you were not dealing with the loss alone with the four walls…
And happy birthday to you! You’ve been gifted another year, and it’s truly a gift.

am yisrael chaiParticipantThanks for commiserating.
I’m not cheery at all. And saying yizkor doesn’t cheer me up either.
In fact, I’d asked a shaila at first why we even say yizkor during YO”T as it makes many feel sad, as evidenced by eye moisture…
I’d said yizkor a week after my significant one passed since the rav holds that one doesn’t wait the year (unless one would carry on in shul to the extent it would disturb others).
There’s no one here with whom to celebrate
am yisrael chaiParticipantYT
Glad to hear you are still on the upswing.
