Thank you very much for your kind words, Shticky.

I was called another name as well, which has since been edited out. I appreciated that the mod modded his own words publicly.

Torah usually does not say that the end justifies the means. So that even if there is a place for online security(and there is), the way it was done, and because of an opinion expressed, was not in line with Torah principles IMHO.

In addition, this experience showed me that we may not have our own opinions. And accusations can be thrown without supporting evidence.

Therefore, I did not feel this would work for me.

And, btw, the accusation was REALLY wrong.

At least I can say that I know now what it feels like to be disrespected.

I appreciate very much your support and other posters’ kind words as well.

    Yasher koach to you.

That is definitely one way of looking at it.

    Here’s another possibility:

People have been instilled with an overabundance of FEAR that there are several requests to get rid of their accounts, and other innocent posters who have taken extended vacations.

Rambam teaches “shvil hazahav” and go in the middle, without extremes. People should be CAUTIOUS but not live in fear. According to the extremism, many threads by students requesting information on seminaries in E”Y should be banned, as now we know genders and approximate age.

Things happen, that’s true. But people still take the subway, still travel by airplane, etc.

And LEIBY a”h had Nothing to do with the internet. I AM a Kletzky. I’ve been affected by this summer in a very personal way and am still reeling from the loss. As well as other losses. (Btw, his great-grandfather whom he was named after used to say quite often that the only regret he has from surviving the war was that he was unable to die al kiddush Hashem…)

And I still believe that one should be cautious but not paranoid.

The hypervigilance is not healthy for anyone.

You may just wish to admit to yourself that you made a BIG mistake with your facebook account, surprisingly enough since you claim to be in security. We all make mistakes.

Now everyone here is suspect. Even you.

So now what could anyone possibly do with this information that Yummy has another sibling? What evil can there be lurking here with the modding in place? The worst is that a poster’s identity is uncovered, but there are no social security numbers and dates of birth posted.

And let’s say in the worst case scenario you figure out Gumball’s name, now what??? There are tons of names and addresses in the phone book without a backward’s glance to that public information.

Since YWN has modding, there’s no possibility of a teen being lured c”v.

The Tanach quoting mentioned has nothing to do with cut and paste, e.g.:

    http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/tanach-trivia-1/page/3#post-314077

and beforehand, for example, when we were both dealing with the same question

    The Sefiras Ha'Omar game!!

As far as your claim that J can copy and paste a poem, these poems are a response to previous poster’s poems, so there’s not a chance he’d find it using google. E.g.,

It was quickly discounted in the other thread because apparently Joseph doesn’t write poetry or haikus or heavy Tanach quoting among other things. He’s before my time and I don’t know his style or quite frankly, much about him either.

And if you “haven’t been following enough to get (my) style” then there would not be much basis to make a disparaging accusation based upon this one opinion that you “didn’t like.”

And if you look further on the main page, you can perhaps see another side based upon my actual posts…(can’t believe you did that, guys!)…unless now you think I’m PrincessEagle, too, and authored the thread to myself…

-“But I didn’t like the way he was arguing against the possibility of creepy people gathering info.”

You could have argued your position without attacking the poster. And to slam a poster because you don’t care for their opinion??

-You claim to be well-informed about Yummy’s family from other threads, yet you haven’t gotten a general composite of my style in the threads?

-Chocandpatience writes that I’m “always pleasant and positive”, and you counter with “Joseph can be sensitive, pleasant and positive at times.”

Do you get the difference between ALWAYS and AT TIMES??

You were choshed b’ksherim, transgressed onaas dvorim, listened to rechilus by your own admission, tried to rally people to be in fear of me, attempted character assassination with defamation of character, questionable cyber bullying, and made an accusation based upon an “assumption” based upon this ONE opinion without collecting facts or supporting evidence “I therefore assumed that AYC was Joseph”.

And you’re not worried about THIS cyber behavior???

Sorry you have to go through this, it’s definitely painful

-There are support groups exactly for those you describe, some over the phone.

-Make sure you have consistent downtime to refresh yourself

-Remember that all this suffering in olam hazeh clears the way for a great spot in olam haba

-Remember that much suffering in this world is easier than a moment of suffering in the next

-Your energy is saved by accepting the situation as is rather than fighting it. Use your energy to help fight the illness.

-It’s a madrega to reach that one blesses Hashem for the bad as well as the good

-Remember to thank for your own health and for the myriad things that ARE going well

-Hashem is WITH us in the pain (IMO anochi b’tzaar)and is holding your hand and giving you the strength to cope

-Hashem always wants the best for us, somehow this is best for the neshama at this moment

-Have soft music playing in the background if possible

-Read Garden of Emunah or Garden of Gratitude

Been there, done that, so I really feel for you in the situation.

If you’d like to share the Heb. name, we can split the Tehillim.

Hatzlacha, and keep up your strength!

Stooping to call posters derogatory names is not acceptable and falls under the category of onaas dvorim, a very serious misdeed.

This is an abuse of your position as mod and inciting. Your post demonstrates that mods may need to be modded as well.
