A shadchan may wish to know the reason so that he/she may choose a better fit for you in the future. It also gives the shadchan a better idea of who you are and what is important to you. It also gives the other party an idea of how that dater is coming across to others, which may be an impetus to change.

What would you tell kids today who are dealing with shunning similar to what you experienced? And how can we as a community stop the shunning in your opinion?
I wonder how you did not let the shunning get you down when you seemed to be not accepted by many. That takes incredible strength and sense of self.

Unfortunately, you are not alone, either of you. The kehila as a whole is more amenable to dealing with these issues than previously, which should be helpful to both of you. There are frum support groups dealing with domestic abuse. You will probably find them helpful, as outsiders who have not experienced such marriages may tend to disbelieve that this could even happen in our circles.

The “craziest” thing I did (after debating with myself if I should go for the extra ?????? ) was to walk in the pouring rain after the earlier minyan finished to go several blocks to another shul so that I could catch ?????, ???? , ???? ?????, and speeches. (I happened to catch another ???? ???? as well.)

The rav today in shul said that the same way we are trembling with the coming of the hurricane, we should be trembling that Elul is almost here. Prepare your flashlights and water AND tehillim and viduy.
The rav also said that since the ???? ????? is incidental to the current week, in ???? ???, the “?” stands for “rainbow,” the “?” for earthquake, and the “?” for “hurricane.” (Also ??? ??????? ????)
The rav said ?? ???? ??????, that despite the rains and forecast, the ????? would still turn out to mincha as usual.

There’s a well known story of 2 rabbonim who paskened differently on the status of a chicken.
When they were both served the meal, the rav who assured the chicken encountered an “out of this world” experience: the chicken kept falling off his fork. The rav who matired it had no problem.
For one rav it was assur to it, for the other it was permissible.
So there’s no such thing as a “bad” psak, just a different one.
There’s also the story how this one rav was correct and the others were incorrect, yet ???? accepted the majority’s decision.
