Goq,
You say that you WORKED through your anger to the point that you now miss your mom and relate to her much better.
That sounds to me like a success story if ever I heard one!
Your mom must be so proud to call you her son.
am yisrael chaiParticipantAKY”R, Icot!
Also wishing everyone here a wonderful Shabbos on this last one of the year.
Since we won’t be able to bring up this thread next week (hey, even in E”Y it’s a 2-day yom tov!), wishing everyone in advance a

And a Good Shabbos in advance to all for next week!
am yisrael chaiParticipantIt’s still September!
How long has she been there, a week?
She should give herself a chance and the time to adjust!

You are so right, and it’s marketed as kids’ food! Not many would want to feed their kids (or themselves) this stuff if they read the ingredients.
And this goes for other products as well- ice cream comes to mind…
am yisrael chaiParticipantm80
That was quick!
am yisrael chaiParticipant???? ???? ???????
am yisrael chaiParticipantm80
In a pinch, it could be ordered from Amazon, although it’s much more expensive. I used to get it in Shoprite (along with the almond butter), don’t know if you have one nearby.
Btw, some prefer to stir and then refrigerate because of the oil separation.
am yisrael chaiParticipantIt’s easier to understand when considering that the other pocket has ????? ????? ???????
am yisrael chaiParticipantYou people are funny 😉
am yisrael chaiParticipantSender Av,
How is the baby? And how is your speech?
am yisrael chaiParticipant“You don’t need to get them measured or anything.”
One measures the circumference to know what size to purchase (s,m,l) which is separate from the amount of compression.
September 22, 2011 9:03 pm at 9:03 pm in reply to: Do Married Women Help Out Doing the Yard Work and Car? #1074700am yisrael chaiParticipantMarriage is not about keeping score.
(At least it shouldn’t be.)
am yisrael chaiParticipantThanks for notifying us.
Still don’t see the ad; are you not allowed to post a link to luach?

Thanks so much for posting new riddles and for the congrats.
I’m not able yet to do riddles on this WTC yahrtzeit, but perhaps another time. Thanks for the chizuk on the other thread.
am yisrael chaiParticipantYehuda Tzvi Ben Elisheva, how are you doing today??
Did you call your rav regarding putting on tfillin on your right hand temporarily as long as you have the PIC line?
am yisrael chaiParticipantWhich location?
am yisrael chaiParticipantIf a guy talks AT his date and not to her or with her, then he is not connecting irregardless of her looks, IMHO.
And if the guy is just discussing himself and not interested in finding out more about her, that’s nothing to do with her looks either; it’s more about his character.
It may be wise to point this out to him respectfully and how it makes you uncomfortable- see if it helps. If not, just let it go.
am yisrael chaiParticipantapushatayid
Well said!
The direction this thread is going is not very helpful or supportive for those of us who have deeper connections associated with that infamous day.
am yisrael chaiParticipantBravo, MP! You’ve said what quite a few of us have said in the past but to no avail.
Since when is onaas dvarim ok?
Disrespect?
Condescension?
Insulting?
Being judgemental?
“Joking” at another’s expense?
One can disagree without becoming aggressive, joke without being insulting, and realize that we are all connected with the same Father.
Part of asking mechila is kabala al ha’asid, changing one’s ways in the future.
I sincerely hope we can all sign the unwritten contract barring these non-Ahavas Yisroel behaviors.
In the zchus of ahavas chinam and bain adam l’chaveiro, may Hashem bless all His children with a wonderful new year with peace on earth.
am yisrael chaiParticipantYes, meant Smuckers natural- peanuts w/o sugar & oils.
(Used to buy this, definitely had a good hechsher. Just be aware that the natural peanut oil separates to the top of the jar.)
am yisrael chaiParticipantmod-80
Look for “Natural” on the label. Skippy makes this, and so do others. The ingredients are just peanuts (or almonds or whatever). No added sugar nor any sweeteners and no partially hydrogenated oils.
am yisrael chaiParticipantPuppy,
If you ever feel like sharing a concern
We’ll all try to answer by taking a turn
Since MANY have asked before you as well
The answers should help, as far as I can tell
am yisrael chaiParticipantYou may be fed up
but please don’t give up
Could you share a question?
am yisrael chaiParticipant?? ?????, agentemes!!!

AKY”R
Thanks for this poignant mashal and for your brachos.
am yisrael chaiParticipantDear Puppy,
What an amazing person you are
I see in you a shining star
Despite the fact that you don’t believe
You still practice and do not leave
You are searching for answers in your life
Despite your pain which must be sharp as a knife
You are SOOOO not giving up
You were so blessed with a Yiddishe kup
Just give yourself the time you need
It may take time, but don’t you speed!
You’ll be stronger at the end of it all
That’s what usually happens when we take a fall
Just keep writing in the meantime,
By the way, I loved your rhyme!
Can’t wait till I see you next
Don’t care if it’s in rhyme or in plain text!
For there’s a lot of support in this thread
So put down your book and write us instead!
am yisrael chaiParticipantMiddlePath
Thank you for your poem, MiddlePath
It reminded me of 9/11 and the killers’ wrath
The scene you depict was a common one that day
A scene which many would wish would go away
am yisrael chaiParticipantDear Gematria,
You explain so clearly why he looks glum
And is so miserable when people don’t come
That he seems so desperately alone
And doesn’t get many calls on the phone
That people think he’s really uptight
And very stuck up, but that’s really not right
In essence he is just EXTREMELY shy
And just needs a smile with a very warm “Hi!”
This may get him to turn things around
And get others familiar with his voice’s sound
Won’t you please take the time to socialize with him
And because of YOU, his days won’t be so grim
Please encourage him to make the first move
It won’t be easy till he finds his groove
You will make his days SOOOOO much brighter
Till he’ll talk non-stop, you’ll want him to be quieter!
am yisrael chaiParticipant???? ???? ??????
am yisrael chaiParticipantIt’s not the BRAND necessarily that you are looking for, but the AMOUNT of compression.
15-20 should be the lightest you would consider. If that’s not strong enough for you either, try the 20-30.
Btw, Jobst has good customer satisfaction.
There’s a compression stocking store on 13th Avenue in Boro Park and online; perhaps someone here knows the name of it.

“I have it typed but how can I attach the document here?”
A simple copy & paste would probably be the easiest here
commonsense
“AYC, thanx for that site, it’s great!”
Glad you like it; I’ve tried several Hebrew typing sites and this one is quite user-friendly
am yisrael chaiParticipantok, I think I got it.
The OP means her own brother’s pidyon rather than how we understood it to mean her brother making a pidyon for his son.
And herein lies the joke.
am yisrael chaiParticipantOslo
am yisrael chaiParticipantDon’t feel too bad; I’ve posted this idea before only to be met with resistance, that the mods are volunteers.
Who said volunteers in other fields don’t have shifts????
Tutors, hospital volunteers, tour guides, etc., have schedules. Volunteering and shifts are not mutually exclusive!
And this is said with deep appreciation for the mods’ work.
am yisrael chaiParticipantmak & squeak 😉
am yisrael chaiParticipantDavenport
am yisrael chaiParticipant“…cornering someone with an argument, that’s partly why I feel like I don’t fit in here.”
MP, you are describing the “out-of-town” personality to a T.
Out-of-towners generally discuss issues respectfully without the need to take the other person down. There’s no need for condescension, insulting, aggression, cornering the other, etc.
It’s actually quite refreshing when you write, and I hope that we all can learn from your style.
am yisrael chaiParticipantWhy would your sister want to spend time with someone who considers her “annoying?” And unappreciative?
The best way to create loving feelings ???? is through ???, giving. Just give her unconditionally without expecting anything. Be positive and appreciative of the things she does do, and in time be”H you’ll both be able to begin a new chapter.
am yisrael chaiParticipantTallahassee
am yisrael chaiParticipant“how can I not share things with a good friend?”
-“she always makes me feel bad when i don’t share things with her.”
-“is she jealous of me or something?”
The last two items listed do NOT support the concept of a best friend and definitely shows manipulation, a lack of respect and boundaries.
Perhaps you discuss this with her.
am yisrael chaiParticipantThis is not a laughing matter, IMHO.
Why ever not?
am yisrael chaiParticipantThanks, Kapusta!

am yisrael chaiParticipantca
You can put out garbage after 5pm on the previous day.
It’s possible for you to go in person (follow the instructions on the ticket) and show your out-of-town license to get the fine reduced or thrown out.
Hatzlacha
am yisrael chaiParticipantI find it personally helpful to do tshuva on the spot. At the moment you discover something wrong, do it pronto.
When accepting a loan, tell the person that they can remind you of it but that usually you remember anyway, and please be mochel just in case something happens. It’s better to cover your bases and have a backup plan “just in case.”
As far as being ???? on something that you have no idea about, well, I have no idea either, other than to have in mind when we say ??? ??? ?????? ????? ??????? ???? ??????.
And btw, we are hopefully ALL ???? ????? at this time of year.
am yisrael chaiParticipantYehudah Tzvi ben Elisheva,
SOOOOOOOOOO glad you are having a friend over. No more isolation for you, d’ya hear???
In fact, it might also be a good idea to call your rav to see if you can put tfillin on your right hand temporarily; there are poskim who hold like this in your type of situation.
And now you’ll have your rav on board as well!
Please just accept that your energy is on a temporary hiatus and will return shortly. Things usually move more smoothly when you accept it without fighting it, since fighting it in itself takes more energy.
You can even ask Hashem to help you accept this ????? and to be as positive as humanly possible. Easier said than done.
Refua shlaima once again!
