    Goq,

You say that you WORKED through your anger to the point that you now miss your mom and relate to her much better.

That sounds to me like a success story if ever I heard one!

Your mom must be so proud to call you her son.

You are so right, and it’s marketed as kids’ food! Not many would want to feed their kids (or themselves) this stuff if they read the ingredients.

And this goes for other products as well- ice cream comes to mind…

In a pinch, it could be ordered from Amazon, although it’s much more expensive. I used to get it in Shoprite (along with the almond butter), don’t know if you have one nearby.

Btw, some prefer to stir and then refrigerate because of the oil separation.

One measures the circumference to know what size to purchase (s,m,l) which is separate from the amount of compression.

If a guy talks AT his date and not to her or with her, then he is not connecting irregardless of her looks, IMHO.

And if the guy is just discussing himself and not interested in finding out more about her, that’s nothing to do with her looks either; it’s more about his character.

It may be wise to point this out to him respectfully and how it makes you uncomfortable- see if it helps. If not, just let it go.

Bravo, MP! You’ve said what quite a few of us have said in the past but to no avail.

Since when is onaas dvarim ok?

    Disrespect?

    Condescension?

    Insulting?

    Being judgemental?

    “Joking” at another’s expense?

One can disagree without becoming aggressive, joke without being insulting, and realize that we are all connected with the same Father.

Part of asking mechila is kabala al ha’asid, changing one’s ways in the future.

I sincerely hope we can all sign the unwritten contract barring these non-Ahavas Yisroel behaviors.

In the zchus of ahavas chinam and bain adam l’chaveiro, may Hashem bless all His children with a wonderful new year with peace on earth.

Yes, meant Smuckers natural- peanuts w/o sugar & oils.

(Used to buy this, definitely had a good hechsher. Just be aware that the natural peanut oil separates to the top of the jar.)

Look for “Natural” on the label. Skippy makes this, and so do others. The ingredients are just peanuts (or almonds or whatever). No added sugar nor any sweeteners and no partially hydrogenated oils.

    Dear Puppy,

What an amazing person you are

I see in you a shining star

Despite the fact that you don’t believe

You still practice and do not leave

You are searching for answers in your life

Despite your pain which must be sharp as a knife

You are SOOOO not giving up

You were so blessed with a Yiddishe kup

Just give yourself the time you need

It may take time, but don’t you speed!

You’ll be stronger at the end of it all

That’s what usually happens when we take a fall

Just keep writing in the meantime,

By the way, I loved your rhyme!

Can’t wait till I see you next

Don’t care if it’s in rhyme or in plain text!

For there’s a lot of support in this thread

    Dear Gematria,

You explain so clearly why he looks glum

And is so miserable when people don’t come

That he seems so desperately alone

And doesn’t get many calls on the phone

That people think he’s really uptight

And very stuck up, but that’s really not right

In essence he is just EXTREMELY shy

And just needs a smile with a very warm “Hi!”

This may get him to turn things around

And get others familiar with his voice’s sound

Won’t you please take the time to socialize with him

And because of YOU, his days won’t be so grim

Please encourage him to make the first move

It won’t be easy till he finds his groove

You will make his days SOOOOO much brighter

Till he’ll talk non-stop, you’ll want him to be quieter!

It’s not the BRAND necessarily that you are looking for, but the AMOUNT of compression.

15-20 should be the lightest you would consider. If that’s not strong enough for you either, try the 20-30.

Btw, Jobst has good customer satisfaction.

There’s a compression stocking store on 13th Avenue in Boro Park and online; perhaps someone here knows the name of it.

Tutors, hospital volunteers, tour guides, etc., have schedules. Volunteering and shifts are not mutually exclusive!

“…cornering someone with an argument, that’s partly why I feel like I don’t fit in here.”

MP, you are describing the “out-of-town” personality to a T.

Out-of-towners generally discuss issues respectfully without the need to take the other person down. There’s no need for condescension, insulting, aggression, cornering the other, etc.

It’s actually quite refreshing when you write, and I hope that we all can learn from your style.

Why would your sister want to spend time with someone who considers her “annoying?” And unappreciative?

The best way to create loving feelings ???? is through ???, giving. Just give her unconditionally without expecting anything. Be positive and appreciative of the things she does do, and in time be”H you’ll both be able to begin a new chapter.

“how can I not share things with a good friend?”

-“she always makes me feel bad when i don’t share things with her.”

-“is she jealous of me or something?”

The last two items listed do NOT support the concept of a best friend and definitely shows manipulation, a lack of respect and boundaries.

Perhaps you discuss this with her.

I find it personally helpful to do tshuva on the spot. At the moment you discover something wrong, do it pronto.

When accepting a loan, tell the person that they can remind you of it but that usually you remember anyway, and please be mochel just in case something happens. It’s better to cover your bases and have a backup plan “just in case.”

As far as being ???? on something that you have no idea about, well, I have no idea either, other than to have in mind when we say ??? ??? ?????? ????? ??????? ???? ??????.

    Yehudah Tzvi ben Elisheva,

SOOOOOOOOOO glad you are having a friend over. No more isolation for you, d’ya hear???

In fact, it might also be a good idea to call your rav to see if you can put tfillin on your right hand temporarily; there are poskim who hold like this in your type of situation.

And now you’ll have your rav on board as well!

Please just accept that your energy is on a temporary hiatus and will return shortly. Things usually move more smoothly when you accept it without fighting it, since fighting it in itself takes more energy.

You can even ask Hashem to help you accept this ????? and to be as positive as humanly possible. Easier said than done.

    Refua shlaima once again!
