    “ronrsr-

Goq~ I was j/k!! I have OOT friends who feel the same as you do, & OF COURSE it is (almost, lol) of no consequence to our relationship.

am yisrael chai~ “Just went through this myself; the day shiva finished for 1 person, the next one passed away…that’s why I hadn’t posted till now.”

I’m so sorry that your poignant post got lost in the shuffle of multi-postings here!!

    — please don’t feel like chopped liver!!

from your post, it seems like you are/have experienced a lot of pain from your losses. if they were family members, I’m sure you’re feeling even more neglected here by the inadvertent exclusion of support from the CR. I truly believe it was just an oversight, as peeps here may have paid more attention to your words of consolation to me, than to your mention of your losses & obvious pain.

May you be consoled amongst the mourners of Tzion & Yerushalayim, know no further tzaar, & know of only simchas in the future!!!!

apushatayid~ I am also VERY chill. but, re: the teens- I am talking about hefker/chilled in the strongest sense of the word. I didn’t really wanna get too detailed in my explanation, but if you need further clarification: these kids are partying [again, to the fullest extent of the word] & physically all over each other… drinking, smoking, etc. I think the OP was trying to be discreet in her referring to her friend as ” veeeeery chilled out and did things that were not always according to Halachah standards.” I’ve seen it tooo many times– as I said previously: in B’klyn, upstate, in Israel, etc. maybe if you had Facebook & saw some of their pictures that they’ve posted you’d understand more.

hoping & praying that they all clean up their acts…..

thank you all … your support is appreciated.

we’re just back from the levaya now.

May her family be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion & Yerushalayim, & may they only know of simchas from now on.

she still has a son & daughter in their 20’s who need shidduchim.

May she be a maylitz yosher for her whole family & Klal Yisroel and daven to Hashem to bring Moshiach NOW!

“… was veeeeery chilled out and did things that were not always according to Halachah standards.”

“That’s what I don’t understand. What is the connection between chilled out and not following halacha?”

there’s a whole wide world out there w/ teens hanging out in mixed groups & getting pretty wild, drinking, smoking, experimenting w/ drugs, etc. .. here in America & when the teens go to Israel for the year (or 2).

have you ever been to ‘Crack Square’, Rechov Yaffa, in Yerushalayim @ night… it’s quite a scene.

I saw that ad, too & saw the very large admission donation; I hope it had good attendance & that they were matzliach! they do great work.. I know: my 2 sons used to hang out there & one of my sons went on a trip to Israel with them. not to mention Shabbatons, etc.

I’m more of a loner.. I like my space & quiet time after a B’H eventful life. (what a long, strange trip it’s been!). but I very much enjoy family get-togethers/parties. & I have no problem not knowing anyone @ a simcha.. I’ll be cordial… especially if I’m having a cordial ;-D

of course~ I used to love stopping by the one on CIA & Z… it was right where I had to change buses to go visit my Dad, A’H; but it wasn’t my favorite.

I liked the one on CIA bet. J&K.. now long gone. you’d get a card punched for each $10 spent & when you had $100, you could pick out a special ‘gift’.. I got some nice gifts 🙂

I recently got to the big one on Ave.J off of CIA, but it was hot & humid & I had no patience for it. it was my first time in there, even tho’ I only live a few blocks away.

no one else in my family posts here, but–

my married daughter & my married son, separately, recognized me from an innocuous comment I made on a news article on the YWN main page.. a couple of months back. they each said “Ma, are you ‘always here’?!” lol

real-brisker~ can you please do me a personal favor & refer to ‘always runs…’ as such or whatever else you choose, as opposed to referring to her as ‘always’? I dunno what her previous/other SN was/is, but most recently the peeps here refer to me shortened as ‘always’ & I’d appreciate your cooperation in this simple request. please & thank you 🙂
