always hereParticipant
“ronrsr-
Lol! (literally)” .. yup! VERY clever! 😀
—-
Goq~ I was j/k!! I have OOT friends who feel the same as you do, & OF COURSE it is (almost, lol) of no consequence to our relationship.
always hereParticipantcongrats!! 🙂
always hereParticipantam yisrael chai~ “Just went through this myself; the day shiva finished for 1 person, the next one passed away…that’s why I hadn’t posted till now.”
I’m so sorry that your poignant post got lost in the shuffle of multi-postings here!!
— please don’t feel like chopped liver!!
from your post, it seems like you are/have experienced a lot of pain from your losses. if they were family members, I’m sure you’re feeling even more neglected here by the inadvertent exclusion of support from the CR. I truly believe it was just an oversight, as peeps here may have paid more attention to your words of consolation to me, than to your mention of your losses & obvious pain.
May you be consoled amongst the mourners of Tzion & Yerushalayim, know no further tzaar, & know of only simchas in the future!!!!
always hereParticipantapushatayid~ I am also VERY chill. but, re: the teens- I am talking about hefker/chilled in the strongest sense of the word. I didn’t really wanna get too detailed in my explanation, but if you need further clarification: these kids are partying [again, to the fullest extent of the word] & physically all over each other… drinking, smoking, etc. I think the OP was trying to be discreet in her referring to her friend as ” veeeeery chilled out and did things that were not always according to Halachah standards.” I’ve seen it tooo many times– as I said previously: in B’klyn, upstate, in Israel, etc. maybe if you had Facebook & saw some of their pictures that they’ve posted you’d understand more.
hoping & praying that they all clean up their acts…..
always hereParticipantthank you all … your support is appreciated.
we’re just back from the levaya now.
May her family be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion & Yerushalayim, & may they only know of simchas from now on.
she still has a son & daughter in their 20’s who need shidduchim.
May she be a maylitz yosher for her whole family & Klal Yisroel and daven to Hashem to bring Moshiach NOW!
always hereParticipantam yisrael chai~ sorry! I didn’t mean to be insensitive.
always hereParticipantwelldressed007~ are you addressing me?
if so, thanks for giving me credit for being so shallow. I’m a mature adult who has seen more in my lifetime than most.
always hereParticipantthank you, principal & minyangal~ for the truth & beauty in your words.
always hereParticipanthefker I would think.
always hereParticipantam yisrael chai~ I’m a little sensitive right now.. please don’t refer to me as ‘ah’! OY!! :-O
always hereParticipantget a life~ thank you. Amen!
always hereParticipanta.y.c.~ it’s hard right now. she had THE biggest, caring, giving, unselfish heart…
always hereParticipantam yisrael chai~ thank you. sorry for your losses.
she was my age 🙁 ..
she passed up in the country, upstate… where she loved to be.
always hereParticipantI am grieving … one of my very good friends passed away this morning :”'(((
Baruch Dayan Emes
always hereParticipantoptimusprime~ it’s going on big-time here in Brooklyn, too. & these kids live @ home.
always hereParticipantGoq~ dem’s fightin’ words, lol! 😉 .. gotta love #2 🙂
always hereParticipant“… was veeeeery chilled out and did things that were not always according to Halachah standards.”
“That’s what I don’t understand. What is the connection between chilled out and not following halacha?”
there’s a whole wide world out there w/ teens hanging out in mixed groups & getting pretty wild, drinking, smoking, experimenting w/ drugs, etc. .. here in America & when the teens go to Israel for the year (or 2).
have you ever been to ‘Crack Square’, Rechov Yaffa, in Yerushalayim @ night… it’s quite a scene.
always hereParticipantI saw that ad, too & saw the very large admission donation; I hope it had good attendance & that they were matzliach! they do great work.. I know: my 2 sons used to hang out there & one of my sons went on a trip to Israel with them. not to mention Shabbatons, etc.
always hereParticipantI have a Maytag stackable in my kitchen for about 22 years, & have had very few repair calls. B’H, b’a’h.
always hereParticipantI’m more of a loner.. I like my space & quiet time after a B’H eventful life. (what a long, strange trip it’s been!). but I very much enjoy family get-togethers/parties. & I have no problem not knowing anyone @ a simcha.. I’ll be cordial… especially if I’m having a cordial ;-D
always hereParticipant“i go from cr to ywn news page and back”.
same here.
always hereParticipanthappy to hear you’re doing well, Goq! B’H! 🙂
always hereParticipantI was thinkin’ strep, too. refua sheleima b’karov!
always hereParticipantbye, Yossi … hatzlacha rabbah!! 🙂
always hereParticipantof course~ I used to love stopping by the one on CIA & Z… it was right where I had to change buses to go visit my Dad, A’H; but it wasn’t my favorite.
I liked the one on CIA bet. J&K.. now long gone. you’d get a card punched for each $10 spent & when you had $100, you could pick out a special ‘gift’.. I got some nice gifts 🙂
I recently got to the big one on Ave.J off of CIA, but it was hot & humid & I had no patience for it. it was my first time in there, even tho’ I only live a few blocks away.
always hereParticipantTOTALLY agree with amichai 🙁
always hereParticipant{{hugs to all}}
always hereParticipant‘Trip Advisor’ site has (17) reviews on ‘Pointe Plaza’. I just looked it up… they seem like very good reviews..
always hereParticipantno one else in my family posts here, but–
my married daughter & my married son, separately, recognized me from an innocuous comment I made on a news article on the YWN main page.. a couple of months back. they each said “Ma, are you ‘always here’?!” lol
always hereParticipant& maybe a ‘cocktail room’ for more mature threads? 😉 j/k
always hereParticipantminyan gal~ I definitely agree that there should be a ‘cocoa room’ for the young’uns. 🙂
July 1, 2011 5:41 pm at 5:41 pm in reply to: OK, MODs – Do You Really Want To Know What Mommy Called Me? #782340always hereParticipantwell said sticky!
always hereParticipantepis~ I agree with you & find this thread to be insensitive, hurtful, judgmental, & insulting. :/
always hereParticipantwhere’s the *like” button for DY’s comment?! lol 🙂
always hereParticipantcooljude~ no offense, but you’re not so cool.
saying someone doesn’t have a life is offensive. .. & asking ‘doesn’t anybody love you?’ is also offensive.
if you’re gonna say you were just joking.. it’s not funny.
be cool, dude! 😉
always hereParticipantSprint, LG
always hereParticipantI don’t understand this either. I believe you’re sincerely bothered by this 🙁 .. maspik/ganik
always hereParticipantMazel Tov!! good news indeed 😀

always hereParticipantnot Marvin Gaye!
“”Abraham, Martin and John” is a 1968 song written by Dick Holler and first recorded by Dion.”
always hereParticipantme, too, mewho! :-O
always hereParticipantJMO~ 1) 7th graders shouldn’t be in the CR. 2) 7th graders shouldn’t be up, awake, & on the internet @ 2:12AM. ..JMO
always hereParticipantbrotherofurs: “it’s called the brooklyn museum, it’s on eastern parkway”.
no.. it’s The Jewish Children’s Museum, on Eastern P’kway across from 770 (same side of the street).
always hereParticipantB’H! thank you for the update.
Chaya Sara bas Chava Breindel should have a refua sheleima b’karov!
I have been lighting Shabbos candles early every Shabbos in her zechus since it happened, & iy’H will continue to.
always hereParticipantyeshivabochur123~ not ‘cheap’… ‘inexpensive’ 😉
always hereParticipantI mentioned the Rotunda to my daughter, who attended there @ the time, when she was engaged… beautiful views.
always hereParticipantcshapiro~ I attended a beautiful, classy, tasteful chasanah @ the Children’s Museum in CH.
always hereParticipantyes, binahyeseira is a sweetie 🙂
always hereParticipantI never thought you’re Joseph. 🙂
June 20, 2011 3:51 pm at 3:51 pm in reply to: who do u think has 2 names in cr and wat r they? #780302always hereParticipantreal-brisker~ can you please do me a personal favor & refer to ‘always runs…’ as such or whatever else you choose, as opposed to referring to her as ‘always’? I dunno what her previous/other SN was/is, but most recently the peeps here refer to me shortened as ‘always’ & I’d appreciate your cooperation in this simple request. please & thank you 🙂
