I’m here, but barely hanging on.

my gripes, starting with the biggest: the whole disgusting AYC affair. I was reading every post, & words cannot relay what I was feeling. I was one of AYC’s strongest supporters throughout, & was sickened by what was being said. I held back a lot of my thoughts & feelings because I felt the Mod ‘in control’ of the situation would just delete my posts; so I sat here saddened & angered [understatements] by what was going on.

lesser gripes include: too many youngsters posting & long delays (hours) in comments being posted.

If you really understood what was going on, you would realize that all the “youngsters” are actually not young at all, and the ayc affair was very necessary (though perhaps a bit mishandled)

every time I question why you are still currently, actively, still corresponding by emails w/ Joseph, my comment gets deleted.

but what annoys me the most(& continues to) were the reactions to his next statement that followed:

“And I still believe that one should be cautious but not paranoid.”

I read that as soon as it had been posted, & do you know what? I agreed with that statement at that point 100%!!!! I also felt being cautious, but not paranoid, was correct in being called for– as opposed to the over-zealous, over-the-top, name calling, accusations, measures & statements made by a certain poster, w/ his forthcoming back-up vigilante crew.

subsequently, that one comment was turned into statements about it being a ploy of manipulation to lure folks into a sense of false security here in the CR & finally, twisting it into it being a means of manipulation to procure personal info from others. say what?!

furthermore~ if I had been treated as hatefully, insultingly, shabbily, & poorly (understatements) as AYC was… I wouldn’t have responded further to all the horrific comments & accusations made by posters here, & possibly would have responded in similar fashion (“invective & abusive”) to an email sent to me as well.

JMO.

now I almost wish I had gotten one of those cheap tickets to Israel that was mentioned in a thread here in the CR; my DH got one & is going for a month.

as it is, I haven’t been posting much lately… just lurking (almost trembling to use that word). I feel there are a few too many young’ens posting. (I’m the one who suggested a ‘cocoa room’ .. we surely can forget about that now!!).

@ a hotel: almost one or more of almost everything– pancakes, blintzes, danishes, cheese & mushroom omelette, bagel w/ cream cheese & lox. & coffee.

eating out: waffles -or- pancakes -or- eggs w/ hash browns & a toasted English muffin. & a chocolate milk shake.

@ home: farina w/ raisins, -or- oatmeal w/ raisins or blueberries, -or- sunnyside up eggs w/ cheese on whole wheat bread. & coffee.

IMHO, AYC was treated very shabbily, insulted, etc. & his integrity questioned; I can’t say that I blame him.

I am very saddened, as he makes a GREAT contribution to this CR!
