always hereParticipant
eclipse~ I think I may owe you an apology, re: your nightmare thread that was closed, probably cuz of me 🙁 .. I had asked you your sign, & then automatically thought that you had responded, but apparently it was a male, & then someone else posted, too. I dunno why I thought it was a private conversation between us. and apparently it was considered inappropraite CR material. so.. sorry!
always hereParticipantHealth~ all just IMO; I have no experience with sinus infections, B’H. .. no medical training/ just trying to help.
my best advice: see a doctor, and my best wishes for a complete, speedy recovery!
always hereParticipantaries~ the only connection of the pink eye to everything else that ails you, IMO, would be the germs from coughing, etc. got into your eyes 🙁
always hereParticipant[SELICHA! oy! Health~ on another thread I thought it was eclipse’s response, but the thread’s been closed. sorry.]
always hereParticipantaries~ you could have conjunctivitis (eyes).
always hereParticipanthmmm… I wouldn’t have guessed… not that I’m a pro or anything.
fiery, passionate enthusiasm! 🙂
always hereParticipantjust a guess…
but then again, that’s just the sun sign.. there are so many other influences. they say that actually your rising sign is how you come off to people..
I’m a Cancer w/ Gemini rising.
Gemini is the sign of communications, but I just felt more emotions coming from you (which led to my guess of a water sign).
always hereParticipantfirst guess: Pisces.. one of the water signs?
always hereParticipantokay, so I figure ‘aries’ is an aries.
just curious eclipse~ what’s your sign?
always hereParticipant<Health~ recently my pain management dr. ordered a chest CT for something else; my PCP saw the results, listened w/ a stethoscope, & said I had mild (walking) pneumonia; I had NO symptoms (cough, etc.); he put me on a 5 dy regimen of antibiotics. THEN I developed a bad, lingering cough. a follow-up chest x-ray came out clear & fine… it’s all good, no bronchitis nor anything else, B’H>
when in doubt, check it out! 🙂
oh! this was written directly after Health’s post. refuah sheleima b’karov, aries!!
always hereParticipantHealth~ nope, just a mother :), bobbe :), & patient 🙁
always hereParticipantWolfishMusings~ I stand corrected: ‘Weird Al’ is a satirist, and parodist/lyricist.
always hereParticipantHealth~ on another thread I had also suggested: “IMO, aries just needs a regular physician. the cough may just be lingering, but it doesn’t hurt to get it checked out if one feels it’s hung on too long, or if there are other symptoms.”
always hereParticipant“Weird Al” Yankovic … Bob Dylan .. off the top of my head
always hereParticipantI am feeling burnt out here in the CR!:
I’ll go to a thread, be reading the last post, or two, & forget what the orginal subject was & havta scroll up to see the subject 🙁 .. and it happens ALOT! :/
always hereParticipantdaas yochid~ yes, darling or dear husband 🙂
always hereParticipanteclipse~ thanks for the heads up: nay, on the mini. I had gotten my daughter a 10″ mini & it turned out I was penny-wise (not so much!) & pound foolish!! :/
always hereParticipantDaas Yochid~ the ‘@’ sign = at… meaning he’s speaking ‘at’ (to) you.
& I’m in the mood for Chinese, but my DH is @ Shovavim ’til late.

always hereParticipantwe took our dresses to a dressmaker for alterations…
btw– I was shocked when we tried another ‘gemach’ & it was $200-250… with a very small selection yet!
always hereParticipantSimchas Chynka I think is generally $75, (they’ll usually make deductions if you havta alter,)& you havta drop it off afterwards to their dry cleaners..
always hereParticipantregular burn out? rest/recoup your energy
drug burn out? too late.. too many brain cells gone
always hereParticipantok, so no one’s gonna help me retrieve that other thread? :/
I’m still sticking w/ Simchas Chynka– E. 17th, off of Ave. J
always hereParticipantIMO, aries just needs a regular physician. the cough may just be lingering, but it doesn’t hurt to get it checked out if one feels it’s hung on too long, or if there are other symptoms.
always hereParticipantyou know that’s not happening, but–
(separate): coffee room & hot cocoa room, lol ;-D
always hereParticipant{hug}from one mother/bobbe(?) to another.
no matter how much we love ’em, the silence afterwards is golden 🙂
always hereParticipantsmartcookie~ I was soo interested when the ‘what do you do for a living?’ thread was up… I wanted to get a ‘feel’ for the peeps in the CR… (until the DD tangent).
now I am truly interested in the age group (i.e.- 15-17, 40-50) of the posters. I posted on another thread that I felt like I was caught in the midst of a teenage chat room :/
I’m just sayin’…
always hereParticipantaries~ refuah sheleima b’karov!
always hereParticipantread my screen name 😉
always hereParticipantex.: “I’m so burnt out that I don’t have the energy to go to the shiur tonight”.
“I’m so burnt out that I can’t remember which bands I saw in concert in the 1960’s”.
always hereParticipantdepleted of strength or energy; in the slang: depleted physically &/or mentally usually from drug use
always hereParticipantI always thought balibatish meant heimish Chassidish.
always hereParticipantcondolences, aries & Sender Av.
aries~ your comment was beautifully written; I concur.
always hereParticipantyou can keep your hard drive.. I’ll put a new one in. ummm, but I’m not a computer tech… is that doable? 🙂

always hereParticipantoops! thought we were discussing the PF song ;P
always hereParticipantah, popa~ “catered events which have pareve coffee creamer or ice cream”: good point… good example! so true … no maaris ayin there!
February 6, 2011 4:19 am at 4:19 am in reply to: All Kids At Heart:Just Read The New Subtitle Thread! #737114always hereParticipantmy daughter-in-law got married in June @ the age of 19. in December she turned 20.. it was sorta funny to hear her lamenting: “I’m not a teen anymore :((!”
always hereParticipantI stopped using NYC public transportation a good while ago…. mainly cuz the last few times I did, I had to ask a young person for their seat cuz I couldn’t stand 🙁 .. I’m not elderly, don’t look THAT old.
but more recently, when I was in Israel using public transportation, I’d definitely get up for someone older than myself who looked like they needed a seat, or even for a pregnant woman if I saw no one else was offering their seat. THEN, someone younger than me would go ahead & offer me their seat.
February 6, 2011 3:11 am at 3:11 am in reply to: How Many Seconds After Havdalah Did YOU Check In? #879031always hereParticipantI admit it: I’m online after Shabbos is over; my husband comes home from shul when he does, & then makes havdalah.
always hereParticipantwe used to have alot of older single men come to us, but things got reallyy crazy (even drove my husband to distraction), when they’d start giving us longg lists of what they’d eat (only turkey, only whole wheat challah, etc.) & what they didn’t (no cooking with salt, pepper, sugar, onions, beans, red meat, & the list goes on). for each guest we’d try to accommodate him for awhile (or even years), until it became EXPECTED of us to cook & supply the proper foods, &/or until the lists of do’s & don’t’s became tooo infringing. (btw– these guests never helped @ all, nor ever brought anything… I’m just sayin’)
why’d we continue to have them over for as long as we did? cuz they are/were basically nice men.
always hereParticipantmy husband & I walked 3 of our children down to the chuppah. In June our last child got married. the kallah has divorced parents & she was the first of ka’h 9 children to be married. her mother asked me would I mind if the 2 mothers walked her daughter down because she was so uncomfortable being around her ex-husband; & the 2 fathers would walk my son down. in my heart, I felt really badly about not walking my last child, my son, down to the chuppah with my husband; but the machataynesta turned out to be such a sweet lady (we met for the first time @ the wedding cuz they all flew in from Israel),< plus knowing the circumstances of the divorce>, that I cheerfully agreed … & B’H it was still great!! .. I survived, & the divorced parents were able to remain out of each other’s way.
always hereParticipant“Enjoying your hard-earned money is not the same as throwing it in other people’s faces to get some kavod – or to prove to yourself that you “deserve the best” when you maybe feel a little doubtful about yourself.”
I had won a 5 dy/4 nite stay @ a 2 wk. kosher program @ a resort in Colorado. we had wanted to extend our stay, but found the cost too high for our wallets. the program was quite full & no one I saw there had any sort of attitude of “better than thou'”… they were all just really nice frum people, all different types of Jews. and I KNOW how costly the program was! (and please don’t say that maybe all the other guests had also won their stay.)
always hereParticipantI almost hate to say this, but– when someone helps clear the table(non-family member), I’m pretty shocked & oh-so-pleasantly surprised!! 🙂
always hereParticipantmike~ your tongue-in-cheek comment was sooo obvious to me! just sayin’… 🙂
always hereParticipantyitayningwut~ I doubt it.
always hereParticipantIMO, I don’t think they’re referencing you, sweetie! have a Good Shabbos! 🙂
