    Wellinformed,

I dont know what you are insinuating and I won’t dwell on it.

However, I normally like to be as precise as possible wher descriptions are concerned.

If he is considered a Rosho Merusha, what would you call Hitler or the Iranian President?

    Wellinformed,

There is no doubt that his arrogance was his downfall. Especially when he wanted to get even with ben P’ for being unattentive.

But I think he was worshipped only after his death, and thats when Christians declared him their leader. I am not sure though that HE himself took that stand.

Yes, it was a story that just happened in a certain yeshiva.

A few monthes ago, a young yeshiva boy( lets call him Chaim) fell into a coma and was diagnosed with Meningities. Nissim lead to his well being today. He BH walks the streets as if nothing happened.

The night before his collapse, a well known and respected Rebbe came to the dream of his roomate(lets call him Sholom) and told him to get rid of the sheidim in the Bais Medrosh of the yeshiva. The dream continues when Sholom asks Chaim to come down with him to help as he is scared to go alone.

The two boys go down and as they appraoch the Aron, Sholom notices how the sheidim are attacking Chaim to the point where he ends up on the floor. That minute, Sholom awoke from his dream in a sweat and realized that after such an experience, he must go to the Mikveh.

As Sholom left the building to go, he noticed how Chaim was taken into an ambulance on a stretcher. He turned white like a ghost and brought the story to the Hanholoh.

BH, Chaim was Zoicheh to a full recovery. When he was released from the hospital, Sholom told him about the dream and mentioned the name of the specific Rebbe who warned him.

Chaim went to see that Rebbe and he indeed confirmed that THIS particular Yeshiva is not for him. He told him it was best for him to choose another Mokom Torah.

Chaim took the Rebbes advice and the impact was phenomenal.

When Chaim went inot his room to pack, he fainted!

I just know that Lubavitcher girls light candle Friday night and they start at 3 yrs old. Reason being becuase that was Rifkah’s age when she married.

While we are on the subject of Rifka Imeinu, I once heard a shiur where the Rav told us that very few people came to her Levaya because they resented her for having a Rosho like Esav. Even though she was a Tzadeikes.

There was a story of how a certain Gadol(no point in mentioning his name), used to make a point of a greeting a nun whenever he passed her by in the park.

When this Gadol was niftar, the nun made a point of how special and freindly he was. What a kiddush Hashem!

I heard a beautiful story in a shiur given by HaRav Avrohom M. Alter shlita, that is available online. He said the story in the name of Rebbetzin Kanievsky.

In March, someone packed a car with 100 kilos of explosives and parked it at the CineMall in Haifa . It was parked hear a supporting pillar. Had it exploded, not only would it have destroyed that pillar, but other cars in the lot would have caught fire causing the gas tanks to explode. In that very popular mall, the consequences would have been too horrendously tragic to contemplate.

The explosion did not happen. A passerby spotted some smoke coming from the car and alerted the police whose sappers were able to come and defuse the explosives.

Even Ehud Olmert recognized this was a miracle, although he attributed it to the alertness of civilians.

    Here’s what really happened:

Several weeks before this event, a girl in Haifa who had been sick and went for tests was told she had stomach cancer. The tumor was so big, and had metastasized, and there was nothing the doctors could do. They told her to go home for her final weeks.

This non-religious girl and her non-religious parents pleaded with the doctors to try. They begged them at least to make an effort. The doctors finally agreed and told her to come back the next day for surgery.

She was assigned a young, inexperienced surgeon. They felt it would be good practice for him, and since there was nothing that could help her, it didn’t really matter.

The night before the surgery, this non-religious girl pleaded with Hashem. She said to him, “HaKadosh Boruch Hu, when we had the Bais HaMikdosh people could bring you korbanos to plead their case. Now we have no Kohanim, we have no Bais HaMikdosh. But I still want to bring you a korban.”

She went to her closet and took out all her immodest clothing and took it out to the yard and burned them. As the her clothes went up in flames, she cried out, “This is my korban.”

The next day this girl went to the hospital in her nightgown. She had burned her entire wardrobe and this was all she had left. She had the surgery. The giant tumor had not metastisized, as was previously believed. It was totally contained. It was easily removed. And it was benign.

She told all her non-religious friends about the miracle. When the girl had recovered enough to get out of bed, her friends brought over all their immodest clothing and made another fire.

Left with nothing to wear, the girls needed new clothes. When that bomb was supposed to explode at the CineMall, these girls were inside buying themselves new, modest clothing.

A miracle that a civilian saw some smoke? Or a reward for tznius?

Here’s a humorous one I once heard from a scion of the Ksav Sofer who happens to be a red-head:

When the Ksav Sofer was a child, he was kind of cheeky and very often up to mischief.

He decided to do a little ‘shtickel’ on his father. He was walking through town one day, and whenever he encoutered someone with a red beard he told him’My father would like to see you in his office today at 4:00 pm.’

At precisely 4 oclock that afternoon, the Chasam Sofer opened the door to his waiting room, and to his surprise saw about 30 red bearded men sitting there waiting to be called in. Meanwhile , his little son, stood in the corner laughing himself to tears.

His father then took him aside and told him that because he played this trick on his father, he will be ‘Zoiche’ to have red heads as descendants…..and so it was. Many of his einiklich are gingy!

A few Belzer Chassidim wen to the Chasam Sofer to see his Seder.

As was his minhag, he DID eat gebrokst on Pesach.

When the Chassidim went back to the Rebbe, they said that they didnt stay for that reason. The Rebbe quickly replied by saying ‘WHAT, you had a chance to see a seder by the Ch’S, and you left because he ate gebrokst??? What a loss for you’

I think this is an excellent topic. Why dont we think practically and logically?

You know what they say ‘ver hot de maya hot de daya’

The Baal Tzedakah(2), if serious, can be all the rest as well.

He has the time, so he can be mekayem the mitzvah of Koveah Beitim,

He gives tzedakah, so that sort of makes him and askan as well, and he will be able to support his son in law in learning for as long as he wants, which is a zechus as well!

If he happens to have th yichus and a good girl, well then thats what it takes.

The other three on the other hand, are beautiful attributes, but they stand alone and cant neccessarily be included with the others.
