adorableParticipant
I did not go to Israel for sem and had the most amazing year of my life. would not change it in for anything in the world. I did get to go to israel for 10 days that winter and see my friends and get the same “israel experience” that they got without all that money and heartache.
adorableParticipantThanks for your good wishes. I am having a pretty long engagement (considering the circles that I come from) so I really do have time to enjoy the process. Its a little hard though because its a real “hanging” stage…ur not married but not single anymore. so annoying sometimes. I do make sure to send him packages of baked goods every couple of days…..and we write a lot so thats good. we also speak so….
adorableParticipantthe green milk is so diluted its gross!
adorableParticipantthanks for updating us. Refuah Sheleima.
adorableParticipantyungerman1- was wondering the same thing. if you are that chassidish why are you here?
adorableParticipantBaalHabooze- awesome post. thank you so much for that. your words are so smart and make so much sense. I see it for myself now that im engaged.
adorableParticipantits a game that they play. pretending that hes 80.
adorableParticipanti just got engaged. I promise. Are you happy?
adorableParticipantMP- dont have a low self esteem please. the only way to continue doing amazing things is to sometimes look back at the work you have done in the past and everything you accomplished and continue that great work. if you think you are not great and dont have anything special about you and nothing that you personally worked on and overcame then whats going to push you forward to continue. you knwo yourself (better than i do) how you were able to overcome your difficult family history and challenges that came your way and you plowed through them and came out a stable, happy, healthy, warm person. you will be the most amazing husband around. Just keep up the good work.
adorableParticipantis this the girl that you are dating? so happy to hear that things are working out for you. there are still a couple of people here that wish they would have it as easy as you are now. may we hear besuros tovos soon.
adorableParticipantI agree that you should wait until Sukkos and if things are still going so nicely and smoothly and you have good feelings about each other then send her something then with a nice card (dont be TOO warm though….) Im so happy for you that things are working out well. is this that girl that you wanted to go out with?
adorableParticipantsolid, stable, and usually on a sem high!
adorableParticipantu sound really good and really at peace about it. its good that he cared enough to end it nicely and not make it into a sticky situation. may the right one come around very soon.
adorableParticipantI had a girl in my elementary class that was adopted at birth and never told about it. when we finished high school her parents told her and she was also told that she was never really Jewish. Im not sure why the parents didn’t give her a choice at her bas mitzva but they just wanted to keep it a secret from her (they were baalei teshuva too). she went back to her roots and is not Jewish now. so sad
adorableParticipantspeak to a mentor or teacher who knows you well and not a random book thats made for all types. you need something more personal
adorableParticipantbeing that I just got engaged and im not chassidish so I went out on dates I will tell you that I think I had the best of both worlds. my parents did a tremendous amount of research and so did his….but we still dated. by the time we went out we really knew a lot about each other and it went very very fast. I think the chassidish way is very good for people that grew up with it. its very healthy for them but very unhealthy for someone who is not chassidish to try it and think its going to work for them. its not a one-size-fits-all kinda thing. I have a very close friend who also only met the guy once and is engaged for over a year to him (getting married soon) but she has no more doubts and nervous feelings than I do.

adorableParticipantits a fortune!!!!!!
adorableParticipantalways had it. i thought you said you lived in Brooklyn. Ok im coming to lakewood to visit you…… LOL Im always there.
adorableParticipantthis is what you wrote on another thread. so i thought you lived in bp area.
CA – Don’t complain. I’ve been stuck in the NY area for over 20 -25 years. Doesn’t mean I like it here. Do you realize we are in Golus? This isn’t supposed to be ideal! Yaacov Avinu wasn’t happy going to Mitzrayim either. Try to make the best of it, until Moshiach comes.

adorableParticipantgreat place. i know people that went there…….
adorableParticipantthey are not gold or silver or white gold. they are cheap metal and can give you a really bad infection
September 23, 2011 4:19 pm at 4:19 pm in reply to: What is the meanest thing you've ever done? #812238adorableParticipantGOQ- make use of the time you have now to talk to her.
adorableParticipantyou live in lakewood or brooklyn?
adorableParticipantwhat did she say about you. why are you so sure that shes ready to go out with you again?
adorableParticipantyes we will have a real band have no fear. they just come during the meal while everyone is eating. its something different and interesting to anyone that has never seen it.
adorableParticipantim here for a little today. havent really been here though this week! B”H busy with good things. Thank you and have a wonderful shabbos.
adorableParticipantMP- glad to hear. its been a pleasure.
adorableParticipantenjoy lakewood!
adorableParticipantPOPA- you made me laugh. as a girl, its cute to hear your voice on the topic. i love hearing how every guy thinks they know that girls should be doing better than they know themselves.
adorableParticipantEXCUSE ME?!??!?! I WAS GETTING TO IT!!!!
adorableParticipanti dont think you should worry about it. im sure shes going to love it in the end.
adorableParticipantnever heard of mead. what is it?
adorableParticipantdont think anyone would advertise here if they were leaving tom afternoon.
adorableParticipantCA- i must have missed that post. sorry.
adorableParticipanti have been planning on having them for years and now that Im actually getting married I cant wait to get them. I think its only the Monsey people that have seen it and its just something nice and different. those kids are heaven!
adorableParticipantSYMS is a great option. what about Century 21 or even Marshalls and TJ maxx
adorableParticipantis that in monsey?
adorableParticipantMP- do whatever you think is the best thing for you but I wish you lots of luck in whatever you decide and I pray for you! please dont go though i really like your posts.
adorableParticipantis this thread gonna tell you something about the posters from their responses?
adorableParticipantGOQ- the point is to train you! regardless of the world around you! you can connect with yourself better
adorableParticipantmoral of the story- dont post in the middle of the night!
adorableParticipanti always wondered about that but i guess by now Im used to it. btw its good to see someone else thats into the store!
adorableParticipantit takes time and lots of patience. and dont forget that once you get one they are very very hard to get rid of. so be careful when you ask for one.
adorableParticipantif you are asking what you should do the answer would be ask your rav. i personally try to wash but if I cant wash and the choice is bread or a wrap i would take a wrap and make a mexonos because I know there are people who dont wash on it.
adorableParticipantI am not a computer programmer. I would have internet if I have a job that would require it but I wont be sitting here bored in front of the CR when Im married. thats what I meant.
real-brisker- no he’s from the US but we are moving really far!
adorableParticipantwhy would you go to passaic? its a stunning place to live but just curious? you like Mordechai Shmutter that much?
adorableParticipanti wear the filaze ones when I need good tights and they are awesome. the levante are also good but none of these are really good for you if you need something more than typical. why do you want white though?
September 22, 2011 2:50 pm at 2:50 pm in reply to: What is the meanest thing you've ever done? #812231adorableParticipanti think one of the meanest things that I did recently was while on a date I met someone that i know. she saw me but didnt wanna embarrass me so she just turned away. i stopped and said “Hi *****! How are you?” she was so embarrassed you have no clue!
adorableParticipantrb- well said. sometimes though it takes people a long time to realize they said something stupid!
