Why dont you tell her that you dont understand what she means when she tells you these things. tell her that if you have internet it would not be nice of her to tell you how bad those things are…unless she would like to talk to you about it in an open conversation and discuss if its wrong for you to have internet or not?
I dont think i would ever date the guy again but he might have just wanted to show the girl that he is “matcho” / cool which they think this shows even though it doesn’t! Its like smoking- they think it shows how cool they are but it just shows their true colors….
if i was a guy and a girl ordered beer on a date I would ask her for the fastest route to get her home.

why is the kallah allowed to wear hair that is way longer than she would have on a regular day? what about everything else that she does? I think its ok because she is allowed to be the star of the show on that night but not sure

I agree about the makeup and that is why I hesitated before writing it (not that you should know that something the mods dont even know ….) but what about the hair? i went to a wedding last night and the kallah’s hair was all the way down her back! what is the excuse?
Just because you would not want to be seen this way in front of Moshiach does not mean that you are able to always dress perfectly on a regular day. It hard for everyone!

i never saw a kallah that wore a loose gown but for some reason its the accepted thing. they also wear their hair longer than they would on a regular basis and maybe even more makeup than they would
i am also too sensitive for my own good but I try to work on it and think that ppl dont want to be mean to me they just might not realize what bothers me…you have to learn to toughen up!
if you have a specific reason that you have to leave early then why dont you ask a rav or something. otherwise this thread has a bad feeling- like you are trying to get away with the most possible

what do the gedolim say is the issue? wouldn’t it make more sense to look at their opinions rather than make up our own?!? I think ppl would rather bash the system and complain about what everyone else is doing wring rather than hear from those who are greater than us about what the real issue is.
i think if you are ignored its harder but if you are hated at least you know they know that you exist. not sure what is better though but in the CR for sure you cannot get insulted because no one knows you personally so they are not hating “you” but just hating your opinion!

what is the issue with a kallah walking down the isle? you really think they look attractive?
coffee- I have done that a couple of times when ppl look at us frum girls…. I think you should really get someone to talk to there seems to be a lot more than just this issue. Do they only stare at you in the grocery store or where ever you are?!?!!?
what makes anyone think that its one thing that causes it? every person has their own story, situation and set of circumstances that could have caused it. but who cares why they went off- how can we get them back?!?!?!! Isnt that more important? lend them a listening ear!

i hope you are right. we are a very close knit group and she is the first one so we are all finding it hard. she was sort of like the “leader/doer” in the group- always working things out for us and preparing good times for us…
