its sad but I heard that the women in Flatbush dont even try to cover their knees anymore. My friend told me she felt out of place when walking down the street and her knees were covered.

i dont know anything about the Halachic opinions that you are asking but I think you should be careful to talk to your parents nicely and respectfully when you bring this up. Just dont come out to them like you did your research on something they are doing for years. they will be upset and most likely not listen at all.

i was once that older girl who had a younger girl call me so I know what that other older girl might be thinking. I also gave her my number but prayed silently that she wouldnt use it. She did! and HOW! she calls me all the time and its a little annoying but I will tell you that the reason why its annoying is because she tells me all day how she thinks my advice is teh most amazing thing in the world and I sometimes feel like shes squashing me!
you can tell in the first minute what she really feels when you call her. i think you should try her or maybe just text her that you wanna say hi and see where she takes that.
you can never know what really happened without calling the mother. if you want your son to play with this child, I would say you should call her yourself and talk to her when her son is not home.

you have no clue what the drivers are doing to the kids on the bus. no i have never heard about it yet but I wont be shocked if I did now. I have been nervous about that for years already. I know a school in monsey who bought buses (govt funded partially) and they have frum guys driving the kids to school not some strangers off the street. no I dont think frum guys are 100% safe but I think its safer.
