Have you been in the emergency room any time recently? Wonder if ICE came in, how many would leave?

    BS”D

There are some emergency rooms in the US, sadly including one which many frum people rely upon, which appear as if they would be devoid of doctors if ICE came in! Why? Because US doctors don’t want to work in emergency rooms, so visas are granted to foreign doctors to fill these positions. Same needs to be done for domestics, but that is sad because the US has so many third generation welfarians who should be doing domestic work.

As for the doctors in that ER, I don’t think the management of the new Agri-Star meat packing plant in Postville would hire them as butchers regardless of their visas so they HAD to get doctor visas!

Salaries for cleaning ladies: Shaatra, you are in the US and Mazca is in Mexico. I think here in Ukraine a full time domestic a/k/a chadame would get $300-$400 a month.

    I agree with Feivel.

Chazzonus as a form of entertainment outside the shul is one thing, but in the shul it is a plain tircha if it leads to a lengthened davening where some people just want to hear the chazzan and as such are coming to a concert rather than davening.

The words are just as uplifting if they are recited by a recent BT for whom it is his first or second time at the amud as they are if recited by a chazzan who is paid to perform. If anything, deep down I know the chazzan is a paid performer and I doubt very much whether he davens with as much kavana as a volunteer. Instead, he worries about whether he is going to be asked back to the shul for another lucrative RH or YK gig.

It is not me who needs to learn humility, and I am surprised that such an insulting post went through.

That is not an attack on Rav Kook; it is a fair analysis which is similar to that of Rav Avigdor Miller ZTL and other true gedolim. I made it clear that some of the clear kefiradige statements attributed to Rav Kook seem fabricated to me. What I do believe is that he described non-Zionists as people with whom he had a dispute regarding one mitzvah, whereas his dispute with the frei pioneers was centered around 612 mitzvos.

I am the one who will be ignoring you, as you stoop to personal insults.

    As for MO vs Haredi:

Have MO or RZ ever produced:

    A Rav Elyashiv shlita

    A Rav Shteinmann shlita

    A Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita

A Rav Chaim Pinchos Scheinberg shlita

    A Rav Moshe Feinstein ZTL

    A Rav Yaakov Kaminetzky ZTL

    A Rav Avigdor Miller ZTL

    A Lubavitcher Rebbe ZYA

    A Satmarer Rov ZYA

    etc, etc

    or going further back:

    A Chazon Ish ZTL

    A Chofetz Chaim ZTL

    etc, etc, etc?

Rav Mordechai Eliahu shlit”a is in between RZ and charedi, but his heritage is very much the Sefardi yishuv hayoshon, the mekubalim of old, who predate the medine by at least two generations and often more.

Where do RZ (and frei) go when they are in trouble?

    Ezra LaMarpeh

    Rav Grossman

    Yad Sarah

    Ezer MiTzion

Chabad (Colel Chabad in EY and Chabad in Asia when they get sick or arrested)

    Meir Ponim

    ZAKA

    etc, etc, etc

The MO and RZ world have always been looking to the Torah-true world for leadership and true chessed, and that is why some MO support Charedi institutions.

Which reminds me that you can hardly compare a girl who does one year of national service (more and more opt out of this anyway as it is just make work and they know it), or even a soldier who does three years of army duty, to someone who devotes his life to helping others 24/7, and often lives in deep debt as if he gets a salary it is a pittance and he is always putting himself on the line for others even if he has to borrow to do it. Even a professional soldier retires into industry; the tzaddikim who work for the organizations above retire only

If we lived according to Torah in EY, we would not need a state, nor would we have a fight with the Arabs. When I walk through the Arab shuk in Y-m, I see a proud people which has an identity. True, it is a klipa identity and a dog’s pride, but at least they are clearly Arab and not part of some nebulous world pop sameness McCulture. When I walk through Malha mall, I see cheap Britney and Whitney and Beyonce wannabes the way I see them in any suburban mall in the US.

And do not think for one minute that the frei see RZ as the good guys. If anything they see the good guys as all of those organizations I mentioned above plus Breslov whose spirituality they kind of admire as another alternative counterculture (I’ve seen frei kids reading Likutei Moharan in EY).

At the end of the day, they see RZ as a total wash, not truly frum but not of their self-defined enlightened world either (especially because of the animosity toward the Yos”h ‘settlers’ who include among their ranks far worse hooligans than any found in Mea Shearim, although I firmly believe both sets of hooligans are oisvorfen led by ShaBaK plants and stooges), and when they say Dros Kol Dos, they don’t differentiate.

Anyway, vus iz shoyn der kesher tzvish’n dos mit mamalushen? Darf mich shoin farmach’n der thread? Seems we’re just rehashing the same old points over and over again.

Most cleaning ladies anywhere are transient. They are from the lowest segments of society and don’t have much of a work ethic. A very few do better themselves, but most go from employer to employer.

You fail to note the most important reason for the shift from RZ to charedi, and that is disappointment in the whole idea of the medine after the surrender of Gaza.

This affected not only young people but established older people as well.

RZ will cease to exist except in its “chardal” form in 2 generations. What you’ll have is charedim and stragglers, the stragglers being people who put on a small kippa halfheartedly and are really just going through the motions. If there is any more surrender of land chardal will disappear as well and its proponents will end up being out and out charedi kanoim because of their disappointment.

Haredi women are finding many, many other avenues of employment, assuming the government schools (not Chinuch Atzmai) ever were much of a source of employment and income for them.

More and more haredi women are finding employment in call centers, hi-tech, advertising etc, etc, etc and plenty open their own businesses in traditional fields like cosmetics, shaitlach, clothing, wedding planning and even not so traditional fields as their sisters do in the US and Europe. Your children will probably miss their dedication assuming that they ever did teach in the schools as you claim they did.

MO young people do not go into chinuch in the US; you know that and I know that. At best you have a few rabbis teaching until they find something better.

People want the real thing. They want to do it right or not do it at all. They know that outside EY and even in EY you can be charedi and succeed financially and be respected socially. And they saw how the medine treated them in Gaza and they no longer believe in Rav Kook’s erroneous ideology of reishit tzmichat geulateinu. You’ll find more people who professs to believe in that in Teaneck than you will in Yerushalayim.

and only licenced tour guides make good money!

Seriously, if there is any work you can do online either as a telecommuting employee of a foreign firm or as a freelancer, that is probably the best solution, especially if you are paid abroad or electronically. I think you have a 10 year tax holiday from foreign income, so you can take advantage of that to provide services abroad. Just do not play games and make sure you really are working and getting paid abroad and that this qualifies, because the malachei hachabala of the state tax service will ruin your life for anything that remotely resembles evading the horrendously high taxes in EY.

There are many stories of patients who fought, and sometimes not successfully, a terrible illness by bringing others closer to Hashem.

Chedva Silverfarb AH spent the last two years of her very short life giving shiurim about shmiras halashon in between debilitating chemo and radiation treatments.

Chana bas Aharon Leib AH, with whose family I am very close, responded to her awful diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor L”A R”L that she received a few weeks before her chassune by giving out copies of a book of positive Torah thoughts. She recovered and married, only to relapse and ultimately succumb to the illness R”L.

These are just the oldest and the most recent examples I could think of in response to the post above about the heroism of those suffering. They jumped in and fought the fires raging in their own bodies the only way they could, by increasing their emunah and bitochon and encouraging others around them to do the same.

He is a believing notzri and therefore a G-d fearing ben Noach (no arguments re shituf for bnei Noiach, please. Those should be left until Moshiach comes; what is important is that all people recognize Who created them and Who runs the world).

While of course notzrus is ossur for us, when the US had more of a religious bent there was more of a community ethic and more of a work ethic. Secularism is as bad for non-Jews as it is for Jews.

MyBat, you can have US welfarians, not that Mexico will ever reduce its population to the point that there will not be desperately poor women willing to do menial work.

I’m in Ukraine and not taking anything from anyone,. Nothing pleases me more than seeing the descendants of our soinim, the pogromschiki and later the camp guards and collaborators, scrubbing our floors in our homes, businesses and, most of all in out shuls and schools that succeeded the ones their ancestors burned. And they are happy to work for us because we pay well and treat them far better than their own drunken husbands do!

Lipa – Sheloi Asani Goy, Habt Of Danne Hentelach, Sheli Sheloch, AHyme (Creedmoor lyrics available upon request but unless the chassune is in Otisville you don’t want to sing about sryfis habayis instead of chanukas habayis).

    Avraham Fried – LeBinyomin, Chazak

    MBD – Yidden,

    Yeedle – A Gehoibene Zman

Yisroel Werdyger – A Bayis Neeman

R’ Chaim Banet – Hinei Anoichi (old but great)

Michoel Schnitzler – Baal Shem Tov (Kozhnitzer Maggid song)

this is a very partial list.

Nowadays, Koma, you know full well that Ivri is an old pre-medine term used to replace the proud label of “Yehudi” by the early Zionists. It has been succeeded by “israeli”. A chiloni will still use the word “yehudi” as a slightly contemptuous term for a ben Torah whom they (correctly) do not see as the more modern “israeli” but rather as (to them an antiquated) Yehudi.

And those early Zionists said “Ivri anochi, chofshi anochi, kochi veotzem yadi ze hakol, mikol, kol.” They had no right to the term Ivri either! The most honest of them actually called themselves kenaanim!

Yes, what tamazaball suggested sounds best – oxygen bleach. We in Creedmoor use it to bleach even drug money with great success :)))). (Seriously I use it in exceptionally polluted, super hard water to soak tzitzis and it works very well).

The chemical in it (sodium perborate) should act as a disinfectant and it also reacts with chemicals in the water that may be responsible for the odor.

Chazzan Helfgott has spurred a bit of interest in chazzonus; I never owned a chazzonus album in my life until Hasc 19 when I heard him sing. The next morning I ran out and got a copy of his album. I also enjoy the remastered Yossele Rosenblatt recordings from Aderet/Mostly Music. There are some good younger chazzonim whose videos are on YouTube; two brothers named Lemmer come to mind.

I am not sure that R’ Dovid Werdyger’s recordings are really chazzonus; he was a chazzan by profession and training but any of his recordings which I have heard are actually neginah.

What really is needed is a guest worker program.

Unskilled Americans do better on welfare than as menial workers.

When I lived in the US I would have loved to have been able to hire a cleaning lady off the welfare rolls, and it would be a great idea to have workfare programs which force women to work as domestics (that would also put a very fast end to welfare abuse).

Besides everything else workfare domestics would have to be bonded by the Federal welfare program, so that any theft or damage would result in felony charges for the worker and a quick reimbursement for the victim. That will happen when esroigim grow in Siberia.

So, a program that would allow foreign workers to do menial jobs with full employee protection at minimum wage or better for a period of five years, perhaps renewable to 10, as well as allow for seasonal workers to stay in the US for the seasons during which they are employed, would be a solution. They would know they cannot stay and would know to send remittances back home to support relatives and be able to improve their lives when they return home (as many now do).

As for domestics, I think the day is not too far off when robots will be able to do a lot of cleaning around the house. Isn’t there already a robotic vacuum? If there is, the leap to a floor washing machine, oven scrubber etc is not a great one.

An even better idea is to send 10 welfarians to Mexico or Guatemala in exchange for every hard working illegal who comes to the US to work. Better yet, send them all 100 senators in exchange for 10 good cleaning ladies!

My position on the State is that of Reb Amram Bloy ZYA (or more technically of R’ Uriel Zimmer AH who was a Lubavitcher as well). Any morning that I need my alarm, it plays Hashem Hu Malkeinu and I sing it quite often on Shabbos and Yom Tov. (Reb Amram would in no way would have sanctioned the actions of those who call themselves Neturei Karta today). I will not face the flag of the state nor will I touch one, and there is a singer I will not listen to (not that I enjoy his style anyway) because he has recorded the anthem of the state on an album.

At no time did I ever believe the state had any intrinsic value, but living in Europe and seeing how Jews the world over are suffering because of its blunders, I have come to realize that the state must be dismantled.

I also know all too well that at this point the only one who can dismantle it safely with no further damage to the lives and well-being of Jews is Moshiach. Sadly, I fear that if he is delayed chas vesholom, and Obama is re-elected (and I do believe that barring Moshiach he will be re-elected because of the indolence of the average American), a one state solution will be imposed on the medine and Jews will flee in droves.

And why? Because, like the kingdoms of Yoravam ben Navot and Ahav and Izevel, the tzionish medine has no right to rule in Eretz haKoidesh. Hashem did give Yidden a chance to bring kedusha back to the land, but by and large it is a mamleches zadoin which has destroyed more Yiddishe neshomos than it has saved Yidden.

For me the blame lies with Roosevelt the rosho YMS, because had he allowed Jews to enter the US there would have been no need for the medine and in no way would it have been allowed to form. The tzioinim and all who participate in the government, including the charedi parties on anything above the municipal level, are tinoikos shenishbeu, and they are truly like tinoikois because they are as kids playing country the way kids play house or school.

Rav Kook was an odom godol who made a very big mistake. That is assuming that certain quotes attributed to him are spurious, which is what I believe. If those quotes are true, then he was more of a Carlebach free love type than a true rav beYisroel, but there is nothing except a few out of context quotes to suggest that this was the case. Instead, I believe that he simply could not foresee that the very ideology of the “pioneers” (more like oisvorfen) would lead to events such as stirring up anti-Semitism abroad, to say nothing of the forced secularization in the maabarot, the arrival of non-Jews from the FSU, etc, etc, etc.

We cannot be like all the peoples. We cannot be influenced by Western nationalism because we are not a Western nation. Without Torah, we are not a nation and any attempt to form a nation of Jewish people without Torah is a toeva, especially when that attempt is made in the Land of Israel.

The medine is a bastard child of the haskalah, not a dovor shebikdusha. Its institutions are pure, unadulterated sitra achra.

Finally, while Reb Amram Bloy ZYA is turning in his grave because of the nuts who usurped the name Neturei Karta as they visited Mad Mahmoud, at the end of the day, who armed terrorists in the “Balestinian Authority”? Yisroel Dovid Weiss? Nope. Ahron Cohen? Nope. Moshe Ber Beck? Nope. Those three clowns together perhaps managed to donate two pairs of torn gottkes and Beck’s old pajama bottoms to the Gaza refugee camps last time they visited.

So how about the government of the state? Yep.

Meshuggener Moishe Hirsch of the Ohel Hagar gang received $50K or so from Arafat YMS. That of course is unacceptable to put it mildly.

But even as their so called policeman carried out acts of terror on innocent Jews, the medine sent the PA $100 million. So who is the rosho? Whacko Hirsch who successfully schnorred money from the tzoirer YMS or the government which SENT THEM money so they could buy arms?

Hirsch, whose credentials are said to include serving as the Purim Rov of Yeshiva Chaim Berlin years ago, is as crazy as a fox (or was until he became uber ubotul); he is one of the inspirations for the Admou”r meCreedmoor.

The memsheles zadoin is crazy as a lemming, so suicidal as to arm its own enemies in exchange for worthless promises.

Muslims the world over know that the Waqf in Y-m protects chas vesholom their lehavdil holy places.

Torah Jews the world over know that the medine turns a blind eye to desecration of our mekoimois hakedoishim, and in some cases such as kever Yosef, has even turned them over to the unclean hands of the Muslims for further desecration.

And the same medine has been responsible for the shmad of hundreds of thousands of Yidden through forced secularization and anti-Torah education.

Moshiach is the only desired successor, as any other solution to the problems caused by the medine could lead to even worse disaster. However, at this point, with the medine turning even American opinion against its continued occupation of Eretz Yisroel, I would not be surprised if all or most of the medine is peacefully dismantled in the same way Gush Katif, Nisanit etc were peacefully dismantled.

And if that happens, our communities, the Torah communities, will be the ones left holding the bag of absorbing the refugees from the medine. Of course we have already had experience, albeit limited, in turning Israelis back into Jews, but it could just be that Moshiach will only come after the land vomits out its sinful inhabitants, who then do tshuva outside the land so that they can be prepared when they do return with malchus beis Dovid. It is not what I or anyone else except maybe Yisroel Dovid Weiss wants or looks forward to, but it is not a far-fetched scenario especially if Obama is re-elected.

As for bituach leumi, the bulk of haredim do pay and do receive. Even a teacher in a Chinuch Atzmai religious school who supports her husband in kollel is required to pay all taxes including bituach leumi. The ones who do not are the Eda HaCharedis, who have been there long before the medine and do not recognize it at all.

I would have preferred that the state never came to be.

However, once it does exist and occupies the Land, it has a responsibility to Jews to preserve the integrity of the Land and its JEWISH inhabitants. Since that is possible only with Torah, the tzionish venture was doomed from day one. There is no Jewish nationalism except Torah, and any sort of secular Jewish identity, be it tzioinus or chicken soup and matzo ball post immigrant US secular Jewish culture, is doomed to fail. The latter has clearly failed and exists only as an object of scorn in the novels of menuvalim like Philip Roth (and it indeed should be an object of mockery), whereas the former is like a dying man who manages to show some strength before he passes on.

The medine boasts of its strong shekel, but that is what will bring on the next recession as jobs move to cheaper India because a tiny country like the medine must export and have cheap exports to survive. This next recession combined with the tidal wave of opposition to the medine among the nations may well be the death knell of the medine which in turn means Moshiach or bust.

More importantly, the incompetence and indecisiveness of its memsheles zadoin jeopardizes my life and the lives of many Jews all over the world.

This anti-Semitism got out of hand when people saw that the schlimazel medine can neither achieve decisive victory nor make lasting peace. They also realized that the state is just exacerbating Muslim violence because it cannot make any proper decisions to do its share to end it one way or the other.

And why is that? Because a non Torah entity in Eretz Yisroel is as fitting as a loaf of bread on the Seder table!

No, they were not fakes chas vesholom. Problem is that with the expansion of the economy and access to mass media, some real fakes are out there.

And yeridas hadoirois has sadly taken its toll on the family of Baba Sali ZYA. Of his descendants only R’ David shlit”a is legitimate. One of the others has a net worth of more than 100 million tax free dollars and yet another, an ex-con, is known more for absurd statements, klalot and political machinations.

Baba Sali ZYA knew this was the case and his last years, after the petira of his eldest son and true yoresh, Baba Meir ZYA, were not peaceful ones unfortunately.

The only other well known mekubalim who have any sort of reputation are R’ David Pinto from France and R’ Eliezer Berland of Breslov Yerushalayim.

That segment of the population is forced by discriminatory laws to avoid productive labor; nevertheless it has produced several business tycoons mainly in real estate, diamonds and even biotech – most of whom have large operations outside the country. And we all know that this segment of the population, when not faced with discriminatory laws, is among the most productive and most self-reliant in the world. (that is unless you mean the leftist artists of Sheinkin and lazy, nasty bureaucratic drones of the government offices that stifle enterprise, and not the haredi sector, which you know very well is trying to find ways to break out of the cycle set up for them by the “pen yirbu” policies of the state.)

On the other hand, the state depends on US aid for defense and is therefore beholden to US dictates. It is independent in terms of domestic policy, but not in terms of foreign policy or defense. This is again OK with me because a state in Eretz Yisroel that is not run al pi Torah is a toeva and I prefer American oversight given the corruption, immaturity and lack of statesmanship of the politicians of the medine.

With the present administration in the US being biased toward a European type view of the Middle East, this endangers the safety of Jews everywhere. Sadly, even with the results of yesterday’s gubernatorial races in NJ and VA, I predict that the present administration will be elected to another term only because no clear alternative seems to be available and more and more “Middle Americans” want the expansion of a nanny state so that they can do less and get more.

Once again I remind you that when your government destroyed shuls in Gaza, hooligans in Kiev started up with Jews there. Why? Because they see that the state, which they mistakenly conflate with Jews (the rabbis of Kiev are not tzioinim) destroys Jewish property, they celebrate and figure they can do the same because Jews are weak.

That is why I am prouder that I speak, albeit with many errors and Anglicisms, the language spoken by my friends’ parents and grandparents who stayed frum and spread Yiddishkeit in the Soviet Union during the worst of times, as opposed to being so fluent in the bastardized tongue of Ben-Yehuda that I am asked why I do not have a passport of the state every time I am questioned by El Al security both at my port of departure and upon arrival in Lod Airport.

I don’t have time to post cold, hard facts that would show once and for all that while some firms start off in EY, the really big ones have to move out of there to grow to world beater size.

Teva Pharmaceuticals is huge. Why? Because it bought, among other firms, the firm that made the generic erythromycin, to say nothing of the hydrogen peroxide, that I was treated with 35 years ago. That is, an old, established American firm, along with old, established Irish, Hungarian etc firms.

I could go on and on with more examples like this.

EY is a stifling environment for business, and any brainpower advantages pale now when compared to the Far East.

In any case, EY’s finest and most enterprising are in the US, Eastern Europe, the Far East and everywhere else. So are the Israeli crime families. What I don’t know is whether this error was made by R&D in the medine because I don’t really know how much input the Intel lab there really had on the Pentium and how much is propaganda. (In this case I don’t mind because as the Satmarer Rov ZYA pointed out, for a goy hating the state is hating Jews, and if Arab and European soinim are led to believe that Jews anywhere gave them their basic technology needs, so be it).

What I do know is that most of the top level work is done in the US and the Far East where the brains and ambition really are, and the often Russian educated scientists in EY do the boring detail work. The top entrepreneurs from EY who have major successes have their headquarters in the US, a few scientists in EY, and what can be done in India is done there.

I smoked a pipe for 17 years, until I crossed the line from pleasure to addiction.

Once I realized I was up to 3-4 pipefuls at a stretch when bored, and that the nicotine in the stronger and stronger tobacco that I was smoking was what was making me want more, I quit cold turkey and sold my pipes.

I bought a couple of new pipes and started again a year or so after quitting but gave it up once and for all a month later.

Shaatra, speaking as a much older single, you are basically right BUT there is a shidduch SYSTEM crisis which is preventing some zivugim from happening at the right time. Much of that system is because we are overly influenced by the physical and material standards of the society which surrounds us.

Now, if you send Rabbanit Bishmazal Loyashar of Creedmoor $3000 for every dress size you wear over zero (ie if you are a 2 you pay $6K, a 4 $12K, a 6 $18K and so on) tomorrow I guarantee you she will find you the right shidduch from her list of mental patients, convicts, alcoholics, drug addicts, and Nigerian 419 lads in Deal, Flatbush, Mexico, Panama and Argentina.

She’ll even throw in an illegal chadame for 300 hours if you pay her another $300 – 99 cents an hour for her and one cent an hour for Guadalupe from Guatemala who is desperate because there is no more Pedro from Postville to support her :))))!

Yiddish is hardly buried, nisht in Americhke in nisht in Eretz Yisroel. Never a formal language, it is just being redefined in a new US/EY version that differs from its European predecessors just as Ingarish Yiddish in either its US or EY or older version differs from the Yiddish spoken in Lita/White Russia/Ukraine as transplanted abroad after the churban.

English means London is the center of the world.

ROTFL. When someone here in Ukraine wants to speak English with me it is because he wants to understand American music, American news programs, American internet sites. He isn’t interested in British English.

And the preservation of Yiddish, though it should not be done in a way that leaves anyone out, is the preservation and replanting of the very vibrant life of the Torah communities that Hitler and Stalin, zol zayn bren’n in der erd, almost succeeded to destroy.

Our focus on EY is not speaking a bastardized tongue invented by a koifer and mumar lehachis. It is also not trying to speak laha”k which may or may not have been an everyday language.

Instead, our focus on EY is “Vesechezeyno eyneynu beshuvcho leTzioin berachamim”. We know that the return to Tzion of the tzioinim was not berachamim, not bechasdei Hashem as it must be to be legitimate, it was by force, in the way of the baryoinim and the Sicarii.

I speak Ivrit because I need it to speak to Jews who are most comfortable speaking it, not because it is part of my identity. I see it as an imposition, and ideally I would respond to anyone who spoke to me in Hebrew with: “Ich halt nisht by danne tryfe medine, ich red nisht danne tryfer loshon!” And when I am in EY, older North African Jews feel very respected when I speak to them in French because it reminds them of how things were before the tzioinim uprooted their peaceful existence, that only would have been more peaceful had the medine never come to be to tear them out by their roots to become despised “frenkim’ in EY.

I speak Yiddish because it is the language in which my Rebbe ZYA gave over his Toras haChassidus, and it is the language of those of the older generation who preserved the spark of that Toras haChassidus even when serving sentences of 10, 17, 20 years in the Gulag.

And thanks to Lipa, I can understand and even attempt to communicate in the Yiddish spoken by those hyliger Yidden who managed to survive Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Matthausen, Majdanek, Sobibor and the ghettos, yet come out with their emunah intact or even strengthened, to be able to rebuild their lives and their communities afresh.

A friend of mine, an Otisviller Chossid, solved the problem by cutting his new aydem in on one of his better scams. Since he was in Otisville anyway, he did not need his second home. He had it put on his aydem’s name and gave it to the new couple, who never married so that the husband rented it to the wife who had no income and got section 8. The section 8 went to pay off the shver’s mortgage while he was sitting, and all were very happy.

In due time the aydem and daughter were caught too and ended up in Federal housing (free without section 8 and with a kollel for the husband) for a couple of years themselves while the shver/father was released. Now, the father/shver needed a halfway house paid for by section 8 so where did he end up – back in his own house having fetter Shmeel paying off the tail end of his mortgage.

There is a great investment vehicle called Unified Ponzi Fund (traded on OTC:BB as symbol DRK). Basically, this fund tracks Ponzi schemes which are still paying out and spreads your money among all of them so that you do not lose as long as you pull out at a profit. In addition, DRK, which is sold in units known as “shtiklach DRK” at licenced brokerages all along 13th Avenue that also sell esrogim in season, protects you from clawback should the scam be busted by the Feds because it is impossible to know who was invested where at what time.

The best broker for DRK right now is Gimpel’s Used and New Esrogim Sales on 13th Ave corner of Coney Island. He got burned with a shipment of big orange Yanover esrogim for October 31 that came without lulavim (broomsticks) so he needs all the commission he can get on his DRK issues.

RB-Shimush is a parody of certain fringe elements who live in RBS-Bet. They probably refer to everything outside of their little dalet amois (physical and hashkofic) as Ramas Byse Shygetz. RB-Kisse does not exist unless you want to use that phrase to refer to the cover of the seat of your porcelain kisse hakavoid.

Only a set of total and complete meshuggeners of NaNach affiliation want to have Rabbi Nachman ZYA’s remains transferred to EY. The rest of Breslov and even many NaNachs laugh at these people even though they have approached politicians in the medine for assistance.

We do not disrespect the wishes of the niftar especially when it is someone on the madreiga of a Rabbi Nachman.

And yes, Rabbi Nachman made it clear that whoever visits his tziun, in Uman, will be pulled out of Gehennom. He chose Uman because it was a makom kodosh, sanctified by Jewish blood. Such wishes are not to be disrespected, plain and simple.

The parallel community to RB-Shimush in Haifa is called Ramat Beit Kisse, never chas vesholom to be confused with the very non-kanoi Ramat Vizhnitz of Reb Chaim Banet choir fame. Haifa (Seret) Vizhnitz is in cherem in RB-Shimush and RB-Kisse because its Rebbe is neither a kanoi nor a baal machloikes and they are known for real music, not shouts of Shabbos or Shygetz accompanied by a real “rock” band that gets its victims “stoned”.

RB-Kisse is located somewhere on Har Carmel but it probably only comes out late at night.

The Oisvorfer Rov is the rov hatzoir of Creedmoor, and he will take over in the event the Admou”r is forced to switch to another of his multiple personalities.

At present, he is the rov of Kehillas Koidesh Oisvorf, named for a town in the old Austro-Hungarian Empire that was known for pool halls, parking lots, hookah cafes and the like. These attractions often tempted teens from the yeshivas of neighboring Szarkonosvary, the stronghold of the Schmoigerman rabbinic dynasty until they held the distinction of being the first Jews expelled from Hungary not for anti-Semitic reasons but rather because they were operating illicit enterprises including their own currency printing plant.

However, “veYankev halach ledarkoi” clearly means that the Yankees will lose (halach ledarkoi = went in his ways = the ways of losing that preceded this season).

-This is of course a nevua by the Admou”r meCreedmoor, who because nevius is now in the hands of shoitim, is clearly a novi.

LOL Josh, that may have been true long ago and I have seen posters saying “Food Stamps Keep America Strong” but WIC in particular is a post Vietnam program with no thought of the military.

To be honest, after the complicity of the Roosevelt administration in the deaths of six million Jews, legitimate use of entitlement programs to help build Torah is proper reparations. However, depending on this aid is demeaning to the kovod of Yiddishkeit and Torah, and they really should only be used in cases of extreme need, or during a limited time in which one is in kollel and raising a family while preparing for a life spreading and teaching Torah.

And abuse, well, Creedmoor does not exist in a vacuum. It is a parody and extreme exaggeration of a very real problem.

Today, it is said that only Rav David Abuhatzeira of Nahariya is a legitimate and reliable mekubal of the type one can go to for brochos. Rav David Pinto shlit”a of Lyons, France is also said to be legitimate despite the wealth that surrounds him (I have actually received two brochos from him, one in NYC and one in Morocco, and I indeed believe that most of the money he receives is distributed to mosdos and the needy and that his lifestyle, while respectable, is far from excessive as is the case with phoney mekubalim).

Rav Kadourie ZYA and Baba Sali ZYA were of course also of that caliber and Rav David shlita is in fact a grandson of the Baba Sali and his only true heir.

Shygetz Aross actually comes from Jewish market traders in Spain. When rice with an insect problem was found, they would mark it “Sheketz Arroz” (arroz is rice in Spanish and sheketz is of course an unclean creature) in Hebrew characters so that they would know not to sell it to Jews. Later, the phrase was used to mean that an unwanted guest, such as a thief or moiser, was entering the market, and it was shouted at such characters to warn them to leave before the traders would repel him in the manner known today as “Chaptz’em”.

An unscrupulous trader named Nebela or de Menubal, an ancestor of the Admou”r meCreedmoor, would write “Sheketz Arroz” on all of his competitor’s schoire, thereby rendering it unfit for sale to Jews as kasher lemehadrin. Generations later, after the Inquisition, the phrase made its way into Yiddish, and eventually, the forgotten phrase was revived by the first Schmoigerman (the European version of the name came from adding Shoiteh and Gas Ruach to the original Menubal surname, turning it into roshei teivois SH oiteh M enuval V e G as R uach), and then adding the -man suffix to be able to register it in the Austro-Hungarian Empire) to serve as a Chassidish rebbe, Rabbi Lemach Kenaan Schmoigerman, whose sefer “Machloikes Rishoinim” listed it as a segula for keeping machloikes alive.
