Art of Moi: That is a HORRIBLE conversation. To say that person was closed minded is a mild statement!

I do not find anything wrong with the wording of Yenna Machaleh instead of cancer and I have had very close people to me fighting the disease. The wording is not meant to demean anyone suffering at all! Its meant to protect the sick.I once heard a speech from a medical referral person. He was asked to speak at asifa on chinuch. So he asked them , why do you want me here? I know nothing about chinuch. I deal with medical referrals. So they asked him tell us what your office is like? He answered years ago we all knew if someone was diagnosed with ” yenna machaleh”. It was the neighbor who lived around the corner on the top floor. There were isolated cases. Today he gets in hundreds of new cases a month, RACHMONEI LITZLAN!He said years ago no one dared use the word “cancer”. Today you can have many minyonim is Sloan Kettering, RACHMONEI LITZLAN.

No one here is trying to be judgmental, chas veshalom. There’s a sensitivity, which unfortunately hardly exists today!

Wishing all cholei Yisroel, a complete REFUAH SHELEIMA!

I find this thread so very sad. You people are all in denial, saying what the halacha is or isn’t. You all know who you are, and what your problems are.No matter how many threads are started on the tznius issue some of you just wont get it will you? Tznius is beautiful! It is meant to enhance our beauty and not LOWER our dignity! I really feel sorry for all of you who are so appalled by so many tznius threads. You’re just always looking for excuses not to have to listen to the Rabonim!Look for other problems like Lashan Hara, yes, that is an issue but WHY do you all keep running away when the tznius issue is brought up? You cant fool me and you definitely won’t fool the Rebonei Shel Olam!!It’s time to look in the mirror! Yes, you, each and everyone of you!

This whole thread is a lack of “farginin yenim” It is absolutely none of anyone’s business what anyone spends there money on! By the way the last time I looked at any beautiful new buildings of Shules or schools, my name wasn’t on it! The people you are referrring to, may give alot of money to tzedaka, which is also none of your business.

I just was not brought up that way, to look how others spend or what they have.Live and let live.

Why don’t we be truthful when it comes to shidduch information? If he or she asked apparently it is important to them. Yes, there are those who have different standards of tznius, BUT you won’t find any orthodox Rabbi tell you , tight fitting or short skirts are tznius! Wake up and smell the coffee!!

A short and clear resume for a beginner is sufficient. Just as important is making a good impression on the phone scheduling for the interview, and the interview itself. Don’t ask questions, answer what you are asked. Speak clearly and confidently. After they finished with their questions, then you could ask yours. Many employers complain about the seriousness of the young, entry level candidates.Working is not supposed to be fun, this is serious business, try to make a good impression.

Keep it short. Make sure to include your qualifications; for example computer skills, if you are looking for office work. Hatzlocha!!
