Try chicken cutlets in potato starch then eggs than slivered almonds. Its absolutely delicious! Another option is to dip the cutlets into snow from the white of the egg then the almonds.

Enjoy!! Many recipes available in The Pesach Pupa Cook book.

Eclipse:: May Hash-m continue to grant you the wisdom to deal with these unfortunate decisions. As far as children being at a parents wedding, I personally think its out of line! Being at the chupa is not allowed according to Jewish law . I’ve been to many family weddings with children going to parents weddings, I have not seen any thing good come out of it. It’s rather a peculiar situation for all parties. Hatzlocha!!

I have had similar experiences in shule by Megilla, but i must TOTALLY DISAGREE with what you did!! That woman definitely didn’t act appropiately BUT WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR DAUGHTER?? What type of chinuch is this? I once had an experience that I was with my mother A. H. she had a walker at the time . I asked a girl if she could get up and give my elderly mother her chair, her mother started yelling at me,” how dare yoiu ask my daughter for her chair, she came early for a seat.” i picked myself up and went to another shule!! What are we teaching our children???!!!

Enlightened Jew:; You seem to be enlightened in different ways….

I LOVE YOMTOV and so do all the members of my family!! We enjoy the work and everything involved!! Your spending less than $ 1000 on YomTov just means you are buying for less people than we are.

We don’t enter Yom Tov like a rag. We are doing what we are supposed to, plus any more that I alone put on myself with no fault to others.

Enlightened Jew:: Wow!! you must really look foward to YomTov!! Pesach is not a cheap Yom Tov, actually probably the most expensive one!! I can truly say I love every minute of it! Even with all the work!! We definitely have a hard time making ends meet but I know every penny spent on Yom Tov gets taken care of somehow….. You can sit at your seder enjoying your cheaper matzos nad I will sit at mine enjoying mine!! By the way, Matzo stands for Mekol Tzara Hatzeleinu! Hatzlocha!

Back to hiring Heimish: Please reconsider if you are in that position of hiring: All the positive reults of hiring a Yid! Parnossah is written in shomayim, no one can take away something that was destined for you to make.

As far as me not knowing the halacha in overcharging. I admit I never learnt those Halachos, and since it doesn’t pertain to me, I probably won’t. I’ve just had the live and let live attitude until now. You can charge what you want and I can shop where I want.

You are all evading the issue at hand. Remember this thread is about hiring Yiden in contrast to goyim. Of course they have to be qualified for the position. Many of them are and are seeking employment, this is not just about having a heart this is about menschlichkeit!!

GRANDMASTER: Mi Keamcho Yisroel!!!! We need to help our brothers!! If not, who will??? You hire a goy and you end up paying in the long run in more ways then one!! You can’t tell me that Yiden are not more responsible??? Yes there are those with attitudes but there are MANY WITHOUT!!!!!!

Thanks for your input. Your answers were helpful and true though I really did want to hear more specific answers. Local Yeshivas in New York area. It’s really hard when the bucherim fall between the cracks. Why is this happening so often lately???

WOW!!! There is a huge misconception here!! It is not true that Heimish people are not interested in doing physical work!! I am in this field and I don’t appreciate our own kind looking down on their brothers looking for positions. Many firms rather hire a Goy instead of a Yid because THEY ARE TOO CHEAP to pay the going rate!!! $10.00 an hour IS NOT THE GOING RATE!!!! ( Only for the cleaning ladies cleaning your house)Girls straight out of high school with no experience whatsoever get $12.00 an hour! You get what you pay for!! Hiring a Yid means hiring someone with responsibility!! In these trying economic times people should only be hiring our own!! There are all types of candidates, those willing to do physical work and those not!! Not every job is for everyone, but you can find your employee in our world. You just have to know where to look!!!

oomis1105: I see I’ve hit a very touchy subject with you! I will say I didn’t mean the kids who come home from seminary who change or want to change? Maybe that’s temporary, unfortunately. I am discussing mature adults making life decisions, even after being married.I have no problem with my children ( Married or otherwise) who have grown in Yiddishkeit in Looks or otherwise, who are more than me. Again I reiterate I am EXTREMELY PROUD OF THEM!!

Binahyeseira: You have a great idea for Looking to grow. I think she should find a Rebetzin to talk to, even now before she gets married.I don’t know where she lives, but in Brooklyn, there is a famous Rebetzin , who is excellent, Rebetzin Dinah Fink.

To oomis1105: Wow!! I need to disagree with you. Unfortunately we see in this society to many times where a parent gets upset when her children want to be more than her!! This is a grave misjudgment!!! What do we strive for in our lives?? We need to sit down and recalculate where we are going and what we are headed for?? I have no problem at all with any of my children who want to be more then me, On the contrary I AM VERY PROUD OF THEM!! I am never embarrassed of them only PROUD!! It doesn’t make me feel any less on the contrary I feel very good about it. Chas Veshalom, to think of the children who would want to be less than their parents….. Would you prefer that??

It is a husbands duty to put down the guidelines in his house how his wife and daughters dress!! If you can’t do that, then go for help!

The Mitzva of Tznius is supposed to make us feel MORE Beautiful, not less in any way. Covering our knees in any and all positions is a chiuv acording to all dayos! When you shop for a beautiful diamond is it on display for everyone to reach? No its locked or behind a counter, isn’t it? Mrs. Friedman wrote a beautiful book on tznius. Try reading just a little bit every day. The awareness will help you!

I was the youngest and in my geneartion that did not come along with being spoiled at all!! It also made it very hard when I lost my last parent! It’s two years now and I still can’t get over it, not having any parents at all!! No one can care about you the way a parent does… it’s a very lonely feeling!
