00646 and Feif Un : I don’t get it, you people keep asking for proof that she lied. Have you read these last 11 pages? Or maybe you are on 4th grade level of reading because you went to Satmer? The halochos in a bed room that she STATES are all lies!! She exaggerated immensely. I don’t need to point that out!

For all of us who would love to see this thread FINALLY CLOSED, why don’t we just boycott this thread and maybe they won’t have anyone else to argue with so IT WILL FINALLY DISAPPEAR!!

For all of you who are so inetrested to find out the truth about her lies why don’t you go on the blog Exposed, Deborah Feldman?? Why do you keep asking us to read her trash? Read the blogs and tell me what lies are there???

Soleik:; Do all Satmer graduates have a fourth grade reading level when they graduate? Not even one of them because they would NEVER graduate!

Just because they CHOOSE what they allow their students to read does not mean they don’t read at all!! As faras the bedroom scene, she paints lies , one after another and I WILL NOT GO INTO DETAIL there either!

I really don’t get it, no matter how MANY lies we prove in this thread there are those who keep insisting we spell out her lies?? I guess you didn’t get a proper education? Did you all go to Satmer? She SAID everyone graduates there with a fourth grade reading level?? Is that what the problem is? By the way she DIDNT even go to Satmer all the years . She attended other schools as well. What about the LIE that Chassidic children are never taken to doctors??? That wasn’t a lie??? Just go pass any pediatrician office in Williamsburg, ask them if they are all under the poverty level, since no chassidim use drs?????

Bottom line everyone has a free choice to make their own choices in life and then THEY HAVE TO LIVE WITH THOSE DECISIONS! She did not have to paint chassidim and jews black!! She did live in one of the most warm communities in New York, with the most chesed available ! It is unfortunate that she didn’t feel that way!

By the way, all the bashing here is really not conducive to th achdus in Klal Yisroel that is needed right now! I am not looking down at others who do less than me and I don’t appreciate being bashed or painted black by those who do!

soleik: I’m sorry you are not aware of all the customs in Chassidus, (Neither am I) so you don’t realize when she is lying. I would NEVER read that TRASH, but unfortunately I have read enough excerpts, which are TOTAL LIES. This thread is getting longer and longer with everyone still holding in the same place as they were originally. So what is the purpose of continuing? With all those knowledgeable with her circles, saying she’s lying! With all the MISNAGDIM looking for any excuse to BASH chassidim , saying there are no lies!! With many pointing out the lies and everyone denying it… so this is really ridiculous! I don’t know why this thread is not closed yet??

I heard a shiur lately: Someone could not take their tzoros any longer , so they went to a Rov for a brocha and to unload his tzoros. The Rebetzin told him upon his arrival that he would have to wait.He sat down and fell asleep. He sees himself walking through a long hallway, until he reaches his destination. He looks around and there are hundreds of people running , dressed in black. He asks them where are you all going? They said to the judgement. He asks , whose? They answered yours! He becomes extremely frightened. He sees a double scale in the room. The mishpot begins, the judge asks all the malochim created from this mans aveiros should come up on the right side of the scale. The scale begins to tip over, the man is crying.. Then the judge asks all the malochim created from his mitzvos to come foward. Hundreds and hundreds of malochim dressed in white, start running to the scale.

The scale is tipping in the opposite direction and yet the right side is still winning. The man is crying out! Then the judge says all the melochim created from the tzoros this man lived through in this world should come to the left side of the scale. The scale is tipping, the man is crying and yet the aveiros are winning over the mitzvos by a hair… The man screams out , more tzoros please more tzoros.. Then he awakes to the Rebetzins voice, The Rav will see you now. He answers it’s not necessary , I got my message already!

They opened a blog for all the people against what she’s done. There are some neighbors of hers who are taking her to task. They claim she moved out of Brooklyn earlier in her marraige and lived in Airmont New York, where no one shoved anything down her throat. She was able to do as she wished, and she still went off. Read it you might be suprised to hear other opinions….

Whoa!! I don’t even know where to start? First of all Feif Un:;I’ve said this before, your name says it all , you’re here to feif un, so why is anyone defending themselves for you? You are totally NOT aware of the truth in Chasidic circles, SO STAY OUT! 00646: You can join him!

As far as early driving, underage? NO ONE CHASIDISH lets their kids drive before they’re married!! FACT!! Most girls graduate at 18 not 16 , and halevey they could all get married at that point. I’ve married off quite a few Baruch Hashem, and I say better young than later… but thats a whole other thread! Sam 2 and Zehavasdad: I send you both warmest regards! I don’t agree with anything you are saying , now provide PROOF!This thread is becoming as ridiculous as she is!

Zeeskite: I truly admire your wisdom on this point….

I will add for soleik and many others who she has won over their pity: Only YOU truly know what you have been through and KOL HAKOVOD to you , for where you are holding today; With that said I will add, SHE HAS SAID MANY LIES IN HER TESTIMONIAL!! How do we know that everything else is true? How do we know she is not exaggerating about what happened to her? She has said outright lies about the Chassidish customs, many of them! Were you all aware of that or did you also fall for all her stories?

Zeeskite!! WOWOW!! Great contribution. Though as we have mentioned here numerous times, I think it’s time to STOP giving her so much attention. I think all the points were made. It’s time to close this thread and shut her out of our lives , as she has done to us.We can pray for her and all of Klal Yisroel who have unfortunately cast us aside, may they come back to their senses……

Without giving out my identity , I will tell you in my field, it is proven that a degree does NOT guarentee anyone a job today. I was at a real estate closing once where the buyer is one of the richest men in New York and came in with a calculator. He told the lawyers this was his college. He does not speak a proper English and never went to college. He can only sign his name.I think it’s all about mazel.

P.S. I always told my sons to take their English studies seriously, though they didn’t listen, they are working and making a living Baruch Hashem!Back to the subject at hand, having a college degree does NOT make someone street smart so after listening to Deborah on her clips and reading her article, I can vouch for all the readers who question her level of intelligence.

Soleik: Once again your post was EXCELLENT! The only point I will differ with you is this: I truly feel very bad for her, her son and her ex husband. The thing that bothers me about her, is she didn’t need to write this book against a chasidishe lifestyle. As a married woman, I do take offense to the way she painted that role, ALL THAT IS NOT TRUE!!

She doesn’t state all her feelings as such, she makes you( or tries to)

think this is the way it is for all.IT IS NOT, some of us , believe in what we are doing totally without any force!! Some of us EVEN ENJOY our roles! It is unfortunate that she was never given the tools to deal with all her feelings properly.

Soleik: you have made some good points. My first reaction after reading the article was, I would love to contact her, and tell her things are not the way she paints them but…. So I understand your interest in meeting her but….

The book is being sold for under $15. I’m sure it isn’t going to be a bestseller!

Feif Un; I questioned whether I should even bother to answer your questions, but , I see many have beat me to it.

    1) I was never told to stay off the streets at night. Though I find some women who shouldn’t be on the streets in daylight either. It all depends on how you carry yourself. If you are making a chillul Hashem, it doesn’;t matter if it’s day or night. They are both wrong.

    2) I have NO problem sitting in the back of the bus.Touching a “strange man” by sitting next to him is asor! I try to keep halochos.

    3) I don’t eat in the kitchen on Shabbos, though I can totally respect those who do!

4)I used to drive before I became Chassidish and NOW I don’t! Not because someone forced me, because I chose to.I didn’t feel it is the right thing to do.

    msseeker: Your comments are A+

Middle Path: you made some excellent points.

I am totally depressed from this link. Nebach, she did’nt receive the help she so badly needed! She is a yiddishe neshama who has totally lost her mind. She paints Chasidus (not Judaism) so black. Life for women is NOT the way she says. The halachos ( and chumros, that some of you think)are to build the respect that woman get in yiddishkeit. Our halochos are beautiful and only enhance the relationship between a man and his wife! Her book will definitely NOT bring a kiddush Hashem!

I pray that one day she will come back to her senses…. nebach!
