    Francorachel3,

Yes i know few places in shas mention “everything is in the hands of Hashem EXCEPT for Yiras Shamayim”.

But we still have a free choice to mess it up!

That’s why we don’t cross a road with our eyes closed…etc.

We cant blindly keep the boys off the market and hope for the best.

I’m not an expert in accounting but it seems you paying too much in taxes. A good accountant will find a way for you to pay less. And a great accountant will ask you how much you want back.

If a person does steal food in order to survive from hunger does that mean for the rest of his life he will be doing mitzvas haba’ah b’aveira?

I didn’t read all the responses so maybe someone else mentioned it but think about it this way…

Imagine you come to this magnificent palace, you go through a beautiful garden, walk passed the fountains through the golden arch into the royal palace. You walk on the marble floor to get closer to the kings chambers and then you see the 2 guards at the door protecting the king and one of them is limping.

Wouldn’t you think that this king could have done better job when hiring guards?

We as humans judge everything we see according to our standards. Hashem wants to make sure that when we bring our sacrifice to a Kohen, who is a representative of Hashem, we shouldn’t think negatively about him or about Hashem he is serving.

It’s very simple there aren’t that many jobs available in the frum market and the expense of running this are very high.

So instead of creating a community funded event where job seekers and employees meet up this became a business.

Where any person or a business offering educational courses, career advice, business coaching or even pyramid sales sets up a both for a fee and then try to get as many clients to signup for their services.

I’ve been at the last one and i saw that there were only a handful of actual jobs available plus some recruiters promising to get back to you. So i never understood their claim that dozens of jobs were given out on the spot there.

Also, i know someone who contacted them this year and asked for a free both so he can offer free resources to anyone interesting in starting their own business. And this person never heard back from them.

Maybe if you are desperate give it a try but i decided not to go this year.

Also, i noticed you have a new account. Congrats! You must be a very nice person because your second post was about defending schmendrik.

MOD NOTE: Yea….it’s him again. So sad. First he’s a woman, then comes back as a guy in Kollel, and now Shoahana…. Really sad.

I went last year and i think it’s a good hishtadlus to go. As long as you realize that hishtadlus does not have to directly cause a desired outcome.

Meaning dont get your hopes up about anything meaningful coming out of this but it will bring you 1 step closer to your goal.

Make sure to visit the Aquarium.

And for kosher eateries just drive up down Reisterstown rd.

The other possible work around is to get a non Jewish partner for only Shabbos and Yom tov.

I suggest you re-read this halacha again:

It is strictly FORBIDDEN to buy from Walmart knowing that you will return it at the end of the summer.

Prohibitions include: Geneivas Da’as, damage, Chillul Hashem, and possibly Ribis.

This is not the case of asking a salesman for help when you don’t intend to buy.

This is more similar to a store offering a promotional gift just for entering the store. They must understand that many people will only come for the gift and won’t actually buy anything. However, they are hoping that their products are so good that people will change their mind when they see it.
