1818Participant
It is selfish for a man to expect his wife and father in law to keep on working so he can sit all day and learn.
1818Participantin my sons school the seniors put 4 chickens in the lobby in the middle of the night
in the morning when everyone came to davening, they were all chasing chickens
1818Participantmike hall
your comment above should be required teaching in all yeshivas today
yasher koach for having your head on straight
1818Participantthere are physicians that feel that bacterial overgrowth is one of the main issues in IBS.
There is an antibiotic called Rifaximin that has given some people significant relief.
It is not absorbed into your body. Stays in intestine.
It is worth your while to find out this medicine.
It has provided a “cure” to a close family member.
1818ParticipantIf you become a lawyer or accountant and in a few years you have to start paying tuitions and buying a home, you will be looked up to, not down at , as you have prepared your family for the many responsibilities that come with a “frum life”. Good luck and all the best

August 2, 2011 1:13 pm at 1:13 pm in reply to: Texting on Shabbos could be worse than murder #7939831818Participantwith your strident tone and warnings of punishment, you hardly sound like the person who is going to convince our teens to stop this activity.
Go take a kiruv class. and then write another letter.
1818Participantjust to go to harvard and not learn “aint gonna cut it” and just to go to Brisk without a solid plan to make a living “aint gonna cut it”
the best for me is someone that works, makes a “livable” salary and makes time for learning as well.
c’mon people this should not be such a chidush. Common sense al pi hatorah.
1818Participantgirls here sound like they are complaining about boys who dont spend good money on a date.
Girls here talk about wanting to only date a boy “in learning”
well make up your mind girls – money or learning. You cant have everything.
January 17, 2011 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm in reply to: Should I continue in Yeshiva or get a job? #7296711818ParticipantMy 2 cents- as someone who works and makes close to 200k and has 50 k tuition payments , I asked my father in law to help with tuition. He did but makes my life hell. His comments and actions toward me make life hard. It is not easy taking money from other people (even your own parents)
I strongly suggest you combine learning and working. You will feel way better about yourself. Being dependent is not all its cracked up to be
1818ParticipantThis is a quote from an article about those people that are going to have a hard time financially in 2011.
College is not a guaranty to financial success. But not having a college degree is frequently an indicator of tough times ahead.
“The undereducated. The value of education has never been clearer. The unemployment rate for people who never graduated high school is 15 percent–depression-level joblessness. For high-school grads with no college, unemployment is 10.4 percent, and for college grads it’s just 4.9 percent. Unskilled or low-skilled jobs in manufacturing, construction, and other fields will return slowly, if at all, since many of them can be outsourced to other countries where labor costs are lower. That makes education the single-biggest determinant of career success.”
1818ParticipantIf we believe that hashem controls everything, then I am confused why Hashem sees fit to save goyim that have no connection to jews or to Israel.
but we read stories here everyday about frum people that are in accidents or getting stricken with serious illnesses.
I am not questoning G-d. just confused.
