    When everyone has 1 name, and their father has 1 name, it makes the Gabbai’s job so much simpler, as well as reducing Tircho dTzibur when calling up people.

    I signed several Gittin under the tutelage of a certain Choshuv Rov who was frequently Mesader Gittin, who would only accept Eidim who had 1 name and whose father had 1 name, to cut out potential Sha’alos. … He would have loved to do the same for picking divorcing men & women, but obviously realized he had to deal with the issue of multiple names of divorcees, but wasn’t interested in causing extra issues when it came to the Eidim.

    <em.Should under 21 be allowed to drink? I shall rephrase the question:- Should over 21 be allowed to drink? Plenty adults get high on alcohol, and get into lethal DWI accidents.

    Even the late Richard Matt:- It was alcohol which did him in, in the end, as he was no longer in control of his faculties, so was heard when coughing, and then his reflexes didn’t respond fast enough to drop his gun, and hence was fatally shot thrice in his head.

    & if we are allowing alcohol to adults, why not drugs? Legalizing drugs would cut out many shootings and crime, as it would considerably lower the price of drugs, and it would be the health of these lowlifes at risk, not that of regular people.

    1) Always arrive on time. {This rule applies to all Shul services with absolutely zero exceptions.}

    2) If after Mincho Gedolo, always pray Mincho before the date {even if have to do so biYechidus}, and don’t ever be so Frum to have to leave girl alone during date to run off to Mincho [even biYechidus].

    Don’t ever assume there shall be time after date to pray Mincho.

    Pray as slow & intensely as you wish, but with 2 provisos:-

    1) you are not #10 causing Chazora haShatz to have to await your conclusion of Amida to have a Miyan responding to Chazzon;

    2) You are not the Rabbi for whom everyone must await commencing Chazoras haShatz.

    Everyday except tragic 9 days; Even on Tammuz 29th until about a few seconds before Sheki’a, and most year on Ov 10th, instantaneously after Chatzos haYom.

    On other end of spectrum, I can go for days on end after Pesach without bread.

    BTW Leil Rosh Chodesh Ov is only nite of entire year when I am absolutely Makpid Gomur not to Daven early Ma’ariv so as not to commence affliction of 9 days even 1 second earlier than absolutely necessary.

    When I said of the hook for Seudo Shelishis, I meant off the hook for having to make Motzie & recite Birkas Hamozon thrice in 1 Shabbos, only on Yom Kippur & Erev Pesach.

    On Shabbos Erev Pesach, one should eat a respectable meal after Mincho Gedolo preferably before last 1/4 of day, and have in mind Seudo Shelishis, despite consuming Shehakol such as fish & chicken etc; Of-course Seudo Shelsihis Zemiros can still be sung even without a formal haMotzie on Shabbos Erev Pesach.

    Let’s end the wedding madness. Only thing madder than wedding madness, is “singles madness” A.K.A Shidduch crisis.

    no requirement to go to a wedding (except of course for the hasan and kalah, they have to come).. Not quite so akuperma:- I hereby refer you to 2nd Perek of tractate Kiddushin, which discusses option of his Sheliach, of her Sheliach, and of both of them sending down a Sheliach.

    Maybe akuperma, you may recall August 2004, when Yigal Amir for reasons beyond his control, was unable to attend his own wedding, yet still got married, because of a Sheliach.

    BTW institution of Sheliach is learned from a Possuk in Parsha from 2 days ago:- “Ken Torinu GAM Attem”.

    Is it a problem of laundering if you get your sleeves a little wet So miserably uncomfortable to have a wet sleeve, so if this is not meeting criteria of “Lo Niche Leh {this is not his wish}” then what would ever qualify for definition of an action being off the hook because of “Lo Niche Leh”?

    2. Daven after zman tefilla, l’chatchila (based in part on the personal minhag of the Previous Rebbe to always commence reciting the morning prayers at 10 AM) R’H & Y’K also @10AM?

    Question Mik5:- Shabbos Erev Pesach:- Also @10AM? At least on Erev Peach, your system of not making Motzie for Seudo Shelishis works out perfectly.

    Perhaps because it is a “Shabbos food” Can you Canine explain to me how you have defined Grape Juice as a food? This does not make sense according to rules of English language.

    My father always objects to drinking grape juice during the week. Can you Canine please explain me, how your dad differentiates between the “9 Days” and other weeks of the year?

    Is that an old family minhag? WolfishMusings:- Only a Minhog during the 9 days, except for Seuda Mafsekes, whereby it is MiDino of Gemorro {@end of Tractate Ta’anis}. Any other time, there is no Minhog to abstain from Grape Juice.

    BTW:- For medical reasons, I can only drink wine, and absolutely cannot drink any grape juice. All my various physicians have concurred with me, and told me not to worry about wine & medicines, but just drink wine for Kiddush, Havdolo, Seder nite, Purim, and stay away from grape juice.

    Since I stay up on Schowu’os nite, I cannot emulate this deed on Erev Schowu’os, hence I make it my business to sleep on Erev Schowu’os, to avoid a Chashash of acting out Schowu’oth nite prior to Kabolas Schowu’oth.

    Likewise I make it my business not to consume cheesecake on Erev Schowu’oth, so as not to emulate my Seudas Leil Schowu’oth, & I can then heartily consume my cheesecake, after which I go to Tikun Leil Schowu’oth.

    By the way:- “Ein ben Erev Schowu’oth Chechal Bechol Oh sheChal BeShabbos”, vis a vis these practices of mine.
