When I studied for My Semicha, this Din was part of Yoreh Deah, where it quotes Sakana being more Chomur than Halocho. To the best of my knowledge, the Shulchan Orech has not been revised nor redacted, since I was awarded Semicha. & if it was redacted, more likely than not, I would have read about that, in 1 of the English language Jewish newspapers. A redaction of the Shulchan Oruch, may even have been front page news, in 1 or more of the Jewish newspapers.

& this Halocho in Yoreh Deah is written in Hebrew & not in Yiddish.

I studied with Idi Amin in Wiltshire College in 1963, and personally knew him, when we were taking some courses together there at the same time. Naturally, after he made a coup & took over Uganda by force, I severed my links with him, telling him, that one can only come to power by “Ballots” & not by “Bullets”.

In light of my personal contacts with Idi Amin Dada, the Zionist made an excellent decision to create the Jewish Homeland in Eretz Yisroel, and not in Uganda.

It is worse to text on a regular Shabbos when becomes Chayov Sekiloh, than on Yom Kippur which is a lower level of Chayov Missoh.

Heath:- This Zionist Kofer also is part of a Medinat Yisrael that has been a haven to have saved many Jewish lives, say Jewish people from Russia & Ethiopia who had no-where toe scape to, and B’H were able to seek refuge in Mediant Yisrael.

Therefore, you “Health” must go to the Kevorim” of these Zionists, and beg Mechilo for having had the audacity of calling true Ohavei Yisroel, a Kofer.

Everyone is Mechuyov to wear a Tallis; For a single not to wear a Tallis Godol Chas v’Sholom, is a discrimination on grounds of marital status, not to mention, what numerous Shaalos this would have caused last week vis a vis Berocho on Tallis Koton for someone who was up all Shovu’os nite.

Ohr Chodosh:- Murder is an extremely rare, almost unheard of, issue in the frum community.

I must amend what Ohr Chodosh stated. Murder is Non-Existent in the Frum community. If someone murders, by definition, s/he is NOT part of the Frum community.

Rainus:- The Nusach of Ovinu Malkeinu in the Sidur Avodas Yisroel & the Sefas Emes Sidur, has 250 words, in 37 stanzas, 37 being predicated by Yitzchok Ovinu’s age by the Akeidoh. I suspect 3 extra words crept in.

Talking about exact # of words, the 2 Siddurim I just mentioned, have Haneiros Halolu, followed by exactly 36 words, as per instruction of Mishno Beruroh [36 candles throughout Chanukah], which other Sidurim’s Nuscho’ous don’t comply with.

It is interesting to take note, that the Jerusalem Great Synagogue Davens Nusach Ashkenaz, and the Shul downstairs [where I have seen the Godol haDor:- hoRav Ovadiah Yosef by Shabbos Mincho, numerous times] Davens Nusach Sephardi, but no Nusach Sefard on their premises.

I am so sorry that I was unable to be in the coffee room on Yom Yerusholayim, and personally wish all of you a Chag Sameach, but I was so busy & occupied with my observances of this incredibly wonderful holiday of Yom Yerusholayim, that I simply wasn’t able to do something as mundane as be in a coffee room.

I was the entire day reliving the incredible emotions & Chasdei haShem that were bestowed upon us, 4 & 1/2 decades ago.

Needless to say, I was far too busy celebrating Yom Yerusholayim, to be able to attend this Assifah.

Only 2 people can have a cell phone in Shul or/& at the Kossel:-

    1) Someone whose wife is in 9th month [such an individual could probably even have it on Shabbos, if he has some contraption to make it part of a belt, as I did in my day & age, with my Rosh Yeshiva’s Blessings].

    2) Hatzolo member [or paramedic]

Everyone Else’s MUST be on vibration, or turned off, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

To think that we are praying for our lives & a Pisko Tovo on Hoshana Rabbo & a cell phone goes off, is too reprehensible even for words.

To think that we are sitting on the floor reciting Kinos on our Beloved Beis haMikdosh, and a cell phone goes, is too reprehensible for words.

To think that someone is Chas veSholom burying a relative at the cemetery, and a cell phone goes off, is simply too reprehensible for words & feelings.

The only Halachic ramifications as far as an accidental killing [i.e. if Chas Choliloh someone is run over by a car you are driving] is that a Kohen {who was driving that car} couldn’t perform Birkas Kohanim [This week’s Parsha both in Israel & in the Diaspora]

There are only 2 authentic Nuscho’os:- Ashkenaz!!! & Sephardi!!!

Sefard is so jumbled with so many different versions, because it is far too young/recent and with no basis, 300 years being very recent compared to Ashkenaz & Sephardi having been around for well over a millennium.

It is no accident that most Yeshivas & Young Israel Shuls Daven Nusach Ashkenaz, as it is so exceedingly authentic.

I remember 1968 like yesterday. But I was so busy getting ready for the 1st landing on moon, the following year, that I forgot to go to the Siyum haShas.

I also was still too emotional from recapture of the Kossel 1 year earlier, to be able to concentrate on Yiddish speeches, so I didn’t bother attending.

“Flatbush Rabbinical Court” is very competent Beis Din, and I had a very good experience with them, after having to hire them following a tragedy of another Beis Din who couldn’t do their work [Not BDA, but another sloppy one; I’d love to mention their name to protect anyone else from them, but surmise that it won’t then be published in this coffee room].

Besides, pareve cheesecake defeats the entire reason for having Dairy on Shovu’os.

I am fortunate to have a copy of the Sepher “Machberes Menachem” a grammar book quoted numerous times by the saintly Rashi.

Believe it or not, there is a section at the back in English which was translated already back in the 1850’s, so English has been on the Jewish scene for a very long time, to say the very least.

Loyal Jew’s asseretion that there is no Heter to meet a Shidduch via internet & get married, is totally out of touch with reality. I know several frum couples who met over the internet, who are B’H very happily married, whereas I unfortunately know even more singles who refuse to seek a Shidduch over the internet, but are getting no-where with Shadchonim nor personal contacts, so hence are sitting single for years >> decades.

Hence I consider Loyal Jew’s scolding of Jewish Frum dating sites, to be very insulting. S/he is living in a bygone era.

Calling them up, or e-mailing them, imposes no obligation to you[r children], so have no fear in touching base with them.
