how’s ny and nj doing? Wonderful without snow. & let it stay this way.

We love NYC & Manhattan, and thank goodness, even when it does snow, it is the super’s job to clean up, and not our job to clear the snow.

Of-course:- As much as we love Manhattan, Yerusholayim is Home!!

Thank you, and may we be Zochim to celebrate at the Bais haMikdosh in future years.

Until such time, Assoro b”teves can occur on a Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but never on a Monday nor on a Saturday.

BTW, next year, Assoro b’Teves Shall be on a Friday. In 11 & 12 years time, Assoro b’Teves shall be 2 years running on a Friday, that being 51 years after the previous time, it was 2 years running on a Friday.

Talking about Leitzonus, how is it, that none of the Seforim consider the 10 tribes who condemned Yosef to death and sold him into slavery are considered Leitzonim & bad for this harrowing act?

The mere fact that they were so ashamed by Yosef’s revelation speaks volumes of how they know how badly they erred.

Hebrew is even awesomer. because haShem’s blueprint A.K.A. The Torah is written in Hebrew.

This is in addition to the # of roots & nouns etc. that share common letters and hence are interconnected, so Hebrew is the awesomest of all languages.

Who knew there were so many YWN users from across the pond

YWN and its coffee room, is a forum for all Anglo Saxons across the entire planet of earth, and not just reserved exclusively for New Yorkers.

In other words:- The sun never sets over this coffee room, just as the sun never sets over the British Empire = the jurisdiction of the Chief Rabbi.

    2) Dayan Ehrentreu is retired, but is very active in the community and still travels Europe extensively for the CER and in other capacities.

The new Av Beis-Din who took over his position is Dayan Menachem Gelley, albeit already several years ago.

BTW:- All Jewish marriages & Divorces & conversions in the UK, are registered at the London Beth Din. Even if some Chareidi Rabbi solemnizes a marriage, it shall still end up being registered with the registrar of the London Beth Din.

When some marriage does not work out, there is no hanky panky about a Get, because the London Beth Din will have the appropriate records.

Furthermore, when someone gets married, they take down all contact information of every brother of the Chosson, in case of Chas veSholom a Chalitzo becomes necessary.

Egg Matzo is stronger candidate for Benediction of “Mezonos” than is so called Mezonos bread; So notwithstanding, if someone is still planning to utilize egg Matzo for haMotzie on Shabbos Erev Pesach [2021, 2025, 2045, 2048, 2052] then Kal vChomer that such people should be reciting haMotzie over Mezonos bread.

There’s nothing stopping you from staying here (or wherever you are) and just fasting a few extra hours

There may be no Issur of fasting a few extra hours this year, but next year when the few extra hours shall be Leil Shabbos, this will not be allowed, so next year, the only way of feeling more anguish by an elongated fast without belittling Shabbos, will verily be, by going to the Southern Hemisphere.

Tachnun {being a Supplication} is an extension of the Amidah, and hence should be recited as closely as possible to the Amidah; Being recited after Chazoras haShatz implies that Chazoras haShatz is considered as if everyone is reciting it, and naturally the inverse is:- How serious it is to talk or conduct any other activity during Chazoras haShatz.

This being in addition to a Pesak that my Rosh Yeshiva ZT’L gave me decades ago.

My new Chumro is to give thanks to haShem and be Makir Tov. To this end I shall recite full Hallel on Yom ha’Atzmaut & on Yom Yerusholayim, in recognition of the wonderful Nissim that haShem bestowed upon we Jewish people.

My other Chumro is, that when I attend a Mincho Minyan that habitually omits Tachnun for no valid reason whatsoever, I recite Tachnun before the cantor commences Chazoras haShatz.

My 3rd Chumro is that I shall spend a few days in the Southern Hemisphere this coming weekend, so that I can really feel the full impact of the tragedies of Assoro b’Teves by fasting at the summer solstice.

Yesterday’s Haftoro of “Roni vSimchi Bas Zion” is generally taken to be referring to the 3rd Bais-haMikdosh, in light of the fact that the prophesies being prophesied by Zechariah did not transpire during the 2nd Bais haMikdosh, so refer to Haftoro of Neiros Zechariah to answer you queries about Chanukah at the 3rd Bais haMikdosh.

So now Mike Bloomberg has his work cut out, for his remaining 54 weeks in office:- Get all Guns off All Streets of America. This must be his sole & only occupation for the remainder of his time in office, so much so, that he doesn’t even have a single spare moment to attack MBP.

Meanwhile, Obama’s most important mission for his 2nd term in office has to be to get thru an amendment to the 2nd amendment, as Rights to bear Arms, is obviously nowadays far too dangerous to continue unabated as is.

To me 12 is significant, because this coming Shabbos shall be the 5th Shabbos in a row that we read the Haftoro from the Trei Ossor = the 12 prophets. Please note, I called them “the 12 prophets”, and not “the 12 minor prophets”. Each book may be short, but these were 12 unbelievable major people, and absolutely not minor in any way nor manner. It is a Bizoyon to even contemplate utilizing an appellation of “minor”.

Not so long ago, we were analyzing 12 births of 12 tribes.

It is 100% Ossur to throw bleach on anybody, just as it is 100% Ossur to throw any stone at any car on Shabbos or any other time.

Plenty people became religious thru attending a Seder nite invitation, or Shabbos meal, or Chanukah lighting invitation or being invited into someone’s Sukkah, but no-one ever became frum from having bleach nor stones cast at them, nor from Tzeni’us policing.

People have even become motivated from having flown to Israel with El Al, and praying at the Kossel.

Boruch Hashem 1 is out of touch with reality. I know plenty choshuv Rabbonim and other people, whose wives are older than their husbands, but are very harmoniously married, and for a long time already.

If this is not enough to convince you about how correct Nasi is, take a look at Chassidic circles, where there is no Shidduch crisis, and they marry people in their age group.

I have never met a man who married a woman older & is miserable, but I have met numerous men who turned down a woman older than they are, and now years later are still single & miserable and bitterly regretting their having turned down this slightly older lady, years ago.

Both “popa bar abba” & “Just me” hit the nail exactly on the head, and are 100% correct in their advice & response.

“Iced” is totally incorrect. Such long dates, are the best way to weed out a person with problems. Just about anyone can put on a show for a couple of hours. No-one can put on a show, for such an extended amount of time of 10+ hours, and if indeed the fellow has some problem, it will surly surface in an extended date, and give that you “micro” are still interested in him after such a long date, implies that highly unlikely that he is hiding a major flaw from you.
