    Absolutely;

Even Aniyim have to give Maaser on what they receive.

No-one is off the hook for Maaser money, just as no-one is off the hook to go & perform Jury Duty.

B’H The Kossel is here in Jewish hands, to stay in our hands for ever. “Har haBayis bYodeinu” for ever.

It was with profound Simcha that I was able to once again relive the Yom Yerusholayim experience 46 years later, and recite full Hallel to give proper Shevach veHodo’oh to the Ribbono Shel Olom.

I have already twice been to Israel since last year’s Yom Yerusholayim, and it is incredible to Mamash be able to Daven by a wall of the Actual Bais haMikdosh.

We Jews must keep going to Israel as often as possible, and saying our Prayers at the Kossel as often as possible.

Respectfully Torah613Torah, I think you are confusing this Minhag with the ban of Matzo Consumption on Erev Pesach.

    Not having supper tonight.

In that case sharp:- How are you going to get thru fasting Yom Kippur Kotton tomorrow Thursday?

As for myself, I couldn’t have cheese cake for supper being Toch Sheloshim Yom of Shovu’os, just as I don’t consume Matzo Toch Sheloshim Yom of Pesach.

but this year BE”H I want to especially try to stay up and learn all night, in the zechus of a relative of mine who is ill and beginning treatment.

oomis:- How about attributing your special effort to staying up all nite this year, simply because this Shovu’os is a Silver Jubilee, being exactly 33&1/4 centuries since Mattan Toroh [Not factoring in if off by a day being an intricate topic].

Some years I am so tired from yom tov preps, that I can only make it to 2 AM

How about last year oomis? when Erev Shovu’os was on a Shabbos.

dafyomi2711:- You are out of touch with the Minhag Kadmoni which is still followed to this very day at some Minyonim.

Furthermore, the Mishno Beruro says, that no-one is allowed to oppose a Minyan which continues to adhere to this Minhag Kadmoni.

This also is not so different from Haftoro on 2nd day of Shovu’os, where after first 1 or 2 verses, we also digress to chant the Yesiv Pisgom.

I wear regular pants on Shovu’os as this is the most comfortable way to be clad to get thru Shovu’os nite learning. Also the least likely to get stained should I accidentally drop some cheese cake.

    Going MiChsyil El Chayil:-

    1) Shevi’i Shel Pesach to Yom haAtzmaut

    2) Yom haAtzmaut to Pesach Sheni

    3) Pesach Sheni to Lag bOmer

    4) Lag bOmer to Yom Yerusholayim

    5) Yom Yerusholayim to Shovu’os.

So going MiChayil El Chayil is keeping my Neshomo very actively nourished.

I am about to take a huge nap so that I can stay awake on Shovu’os nite to feed my Neshomo with recital of Tikun Leil Shovu’os.

Of-course not; Everyone sings this song during the week of Behar.

Today everyone sings “haTikvah” & “vLiYerusholayim Irecho” on Yom Yerusholayim.

Then this Friday everyone shall be singing “veErastich Li leOlom” in honor of Haftoro baMidbar.

Next week everyone shall be busy singing “Oz Shesh Me’os etc” in honor of Shovu’os Musof Piyut.

By next Friday we shall all be busy singing “Boruch Shelo Ossani Nozir” in honor of Shimshon in the Haftoro.

My good word to everyone with no exceptions, is “Yom Yerusholayim Sameach”.

Just thinking back to this awesome moment when “har haBayis beYodeinu” was flashed accross the world today 46 years ago, still is emotional every single time I think back to that incredible moment of Nissim vNiflo’os that haShem bestowed upon us.

Given that today is the Johrzeit of Shmuel haNovie, makes it exceedingly probable that Shmuel haNovi had to have been an incredible Melitz Yosher to merit such an awesome event on his Johrzeit.

Yes and that is why we lain akdomus a few minutes prior to that.

Very few minutes prior to that, as we are already after the 1st Posuk of Kerias ahToroh, when we recite Akdomus.

its better to be alert and awake during davening then to learn all night and sleep during the aseres hadibros! “

Halocho makes special mention of this issue vis a vis Musof, since Musof seals off the Omer Period.

Meanwhile I am seeking a good Yeshivish Minyan for Yom Yerusholayim, where I can recite Hallel with Kavono along with the Minyan.

    Yom Yerusholayim Sameach.

Tow reasons why off the Derech:

    1) Because US Route 9 is an old highway, and makes travel to Lakewood time consuming & difficult.

    2) Because if anyone there fails to observe Yom Yerusholayim this Wednesday, it is a lack of HaKoras HaTov to the Ribbono Shel Olom for his wonderful Nissim performed 46 years ago.

I was on Route 85 this past summer, just on a regular day, and already then, the traffic was horrendous & at a standstill for hours.

I always avoid big crowds, so would never go to Meron on Lag b’Omer. & now even more so after what happened at a huge crowd dispersed over a huge area in Boston on April 15, 2013, I surely would not go to Meron on Lag b’Omer which also is a huge crwod dispersed over a huge area.

If something about Route 85 isn’t done very imminently, there is going to be a mass Chilul Shabbos on Route 85 during 2021 & 2025, when Lag b’Omer occurs on a Friday.

    I need new tefillin. Received 3 recommendations; Tefillin BeitE-L, hasofer.com and stam.net.

Hrolfr:- Unequivocally & without any hesitation nor 2nd thought:- Absolutely procure your Tefillin from Tefillin Bet-El.

They are great & superb, and I have dealt with them for over 3 decades, and there simply is no looking back.

When I was in Yeshiva in Israel over 3 deacdes ago, the Posek there told me to only go to Tefillin Bet-El and no-where else, and I have been on board with them, ever since.

I recently had a pair of their Tefillin checked at a well known Sofer in Brooklyn NY, and they were in awe at the high quality of the Parshiyos & Tefillin.

Hrolfr:- This is an absolute no-brainer:- Acquire your Tefillin from Tefillin Bet-El.

If not, on Lag b’Omer 2021 & 2025 when on Friday, there is going to be a mass Chilul Shabbos on Route 85.

did you ever discuss Yom Yerushalyim or Yom Ha’atzmaut with R’ Avigdor Miller Zt”l?

Daas Yochid:- FYI:- Rav Avigdor Miller ZT’L is a Musmach of Yeshiva University, and this Yeshiva where he graduated from, strongly holds of these 2 observances.

Do you know that Satmar says Tachanun on 5 iyyar even if there’s a bris?!

WIY:- Gee:- This is great! So we both pray from the same Sefer Tehillim, some from Chapter 6, and some from Chapter 113-18, but we both firmly hold onto the same Sefer Tehillim.

& did you know WIY, that in my Shoule we also recite Tehillim Perek 6 on 1st day of Rosh haShono? since we commence Sefer Tehillim on 1st afternoon of Rosh haShono, and always get way past Perek 6.

& does Satmar recite Tachnum on Iyyor 5, when there is a Chosson [assuming they allow marriages until end of Nisson:- I have no idea what their Minhog is? 1st 33 days or last 33 days?] & does Satmar recite Tachnun on Iyor 5th at a Shiva? Bar Minon.

    so become chassidish for tonight

This won’t sit well, because only 10 days left until the all important day of Yom Yerusholayim, so I shall definitely wish to be associated with a Chevra who warmly & staunchly embrace & observe Yom Yerusholayim.

If this is not enough, 17 days from now, it would be very hard to go to a Mikva towards the end of Shovu’os nite learning shortly before day break, as is expected in Chassish circles.

most people first wake up then

Considering I wake up so much earlier on a weekday, I am almost always awake long before my [Kosher with 10 possible settings] alarm clock goes off on Shabbos morning.

How can you eat cholent and meat at 9:00 in the morning?

My question is:- How can most people go without food until 11 & 12 & yonder each Shabbos morning? or failing that:- How can they eat before reciting their prayers?

This is in addition to people who then some how or other never seem to quite manage to accomplish Seudo Shelishis, especially during the winter but even during the summer in some cases.

My schedule also implies that on Shabbos Erev Pesach I don’t have to deviate from my regular Shabbos schedule, and then it really feels like regular Shabbos mode, as it is supposed to.

As I said in the beginning of this thread, it’s sad that Zionists continue to believe in Zionism against the Torah and its gedolim.

This is not fractionally as reprehensible as anyone who went against the Gedolim’s Pesak to vote at Israeli Elections, and told his followers to ignore this Pesak.

    This is far sadder.

BTW:- I Daven at a very right wing Shoule, where the Rov once physically expelled a Naturei Karta person, but has never expelled anyone who observed Yom ha’Atzmaut or/& Yom Yerusholayim.

The real reason is because they are not in agreement with the date of Yom ha’Atzmaut having been changed from Iyor 5th to Iyor 6th.
