I witnessed an unbelievable Nekomo as recently as today. The throngs of so many Jews with such Achdus at the Israel Day Parade was such an awesome sight and yes:- What a slap to H Yemach Shemo vZichrono.

Meanwhile 6 Million Neshomos are stepping on his ashes each & every single day {with no off days for Shabbos or Yom Tov or Vacation breaks} each one individually confronting H Yemach Shemo veZichrono demanding to know why s/he was murdered by H, and this procedure will continue until eternity; i.e. for ever.

If you are going from Yerusholayim to Tzefas, bear in mind that this route is now served by Egged #982 via Route 6, and not along the Jordan River, so is much quicker than it used to be in the olden days.

But be sure to spend plenty time in the Jewish Quarter. Whilst there, you may also wish to book a tour of the rebuilt Churva Shul. We took a tour of the Churva Shul on Purim morning, and returned to the Churva Shul on Shushan Purim morning for Esther Reading.

Bear in mind that Zechariah haNovi is also buried on Har hZeisim.

Netanyohu is too smart & shrewd for Lapid’s stupidity, and is awaiting Lapid stomping himself into a real mess.

Netanyohu as well as any smart individual knows full well, that there is no way Israel has the financial resources to keep every army deserter in prison. $50,000 per prisoner per annum is surely not on the budget books, so it simply ain’t going to happen, so Netanyohu knows the adage:- Shesiko leChochom.

Mark my word:- Netanyohu shall be on the political map long after Lapid’s {& Bennett’s} downfall from politics.

Some people think speaking ill of those more or less religious than them is muttar.

This is a myth, and no-one is allowed to attack a Jew for his believes or/& conviction to observe Yom ha’Atzmaut &/or Yom Yerusholayim.

However, when someone is “Yotzo MiKellal Amisecho” they don’t enjoy the perks of being a Fellow Jew. Someone who socializes with Arab Leaders [including someone dressed as a Chareidi Jew} has alienated himself from the true genuine Jewish flock.

Every Jewish child has a right to decent shoes to go to Shul on Shabbos, just as every Jewish child deserves a nice suit on Seder nite. Period!!

If a Jewish child is not dressed according to these standards, they qualify for Tzedokoh money to procure these. If possible:- The donor should take the child to the clothing store, thus assuring that the money doesn’t get utilized for some other use, if the donor is Makpid to help the child get proper attire for Shabbos/Yom Tov.

I have already taken adults to a store to procure clothing thus being sure the money went on clothing them properly and not then being diverted to another cause.

BTW I don’t know what id the difference between Shabbos & weekday shoes, as I wear slip on leather shoes 363 days a year.

A Nochri who observes Shabbos in 15&1/2 weeks time, shall not be Chayov Missoh, as by default he shall also have observed Yom Kippur vis a vis Melocho, which does not render a Nochri to be Chayov Missoh.

No-one is critiquing his views against drinking. He is on target.

But his dismissal of smoking as being an issue, is what is upsetting various members in this coffee room.

As you Health correctly say, smoking is much more dangerous than drinking or overeating.

But since Mike bloomberg is handling the fight against smoking, I guess Rav Bender instead is focusing on drinking.

Actually, I think most Gedolim would agree with Mike bloomberg on 2 issues:-

    1) Not smoking {after all each & every puff is being Mevatel a Mitzwah Asseh Min haToroh of “veNishmartem Me’od leNafshoseichem”}.

    2) Just about every Rabbi probably is in favor of the total annahilation of all & any guns, and every USA street has to be totally gun-free. {Maybe also meat cleavers after this horrific murder in Woolwich}.

Because Shovu’os nite is a 1 time deal, so is durable.

Pesach being 2 nites running, just becomes impossible, so no-one even attempts to stay up. It is more prevalent for people to stay up Pesach nite in Israel where it is only 1 nite >>> 1 time deal.

4 glasses of wine also don’t help the situation, for staying up.

I actually have a medical condition that flares up and becomes totally debilitating if I don’t go to bed by a certain time each night.

So do I, so I plan around it, by sleeping many hours, on Erev Pesach afternoon, 1st afternoon of Pesach, and Erev Shovu’os afternoon, and beChasdei haShem I was Zoche to be up Shovu’os nite at my Shul, and cover good learning.

In addition to napping, I used 3% wine the 1st nite of Shovu’os for Kiddush instead of more regular wine. Believe it or not, my medical condition does not allow me to drink grape juice, but does let me drink wine.

I also consumed a light meal with cheese cake and held off consuming meat until lunch time.

    Wishing everyone “Isru Chag Sameach”.

I assume you shoshnab left out Yom Yersuholayim accidentally.

Mattan Toroseinu is what haShem did, and since haShem had planned to perform Mattan Toroseinu on Sivvon 6th, hence the fact that Moshe postponed it by 1 day to Sivvon 7th, notwithstanding:- We commemorate Mattan Toroseinu on haShem’s intended date of Sivvon 6th.

Kabbolas haToroh is what we are supposed to do every day as we say in Shema:- haYom Al Levoveicho.

Since Shovu’os is a commemoration of wht haShem performed, all our prayers {with exception of 1 Piyyut in Mussof by Oz Shesh Me’os etc.} do not mention Kabbolas haToroh but Mattan Toroh.

I want other peoples opinions which is why I posted it in the first place.

There is a desparate need to have women out there on the field, because many women are veru humiliated to have to ask various Sha’alos to a male Rov; Especially in the realm of Taharas Mishpocho & Bedikah cloths, but even in other spheres as well such as sensitive issues with Availus.

In this same vein, there is a desparate need to admit women onto Hatzoloh, because it is very humiliating for a woman requiring medical attention to have to treated by a man {especially when the man is the neighbor from down the block who knows the woman’s family well} rather than by a woman, especially for a childbirth, but even for other situations.

Rav Avi Weiss shlita has done a lot of tremendous Chasodim, especially in the spere of Pidyon Shevuyim vis a vis Soviet Jewry, so we have a lot to be envious of his myriad Zechuyos.
