Whatever helps the religious is what every Israeli citizen should be voting for. Voting for Lapid or not bothering to vote altogether may well be violation of “Lo Sa’amod Al Dam Rei’acho” when our Yeshivos & Kollelim are so terribly hurting.

Honestly, I do not think Rabbeim are paid enough for what they do According to your assertion from Long island, which is probably very correct assertion, then why aren’t we giving Matonos loEvyonim to the Rabbi instead of Shelach Monos? Certainly they don’t need 200 bottles of wine & grape juice, but may well need the money.

I refer you all to an exceedingly well know Posuk in Yeshayohu, Perek 2, Posuk 3:- “Ki MiZion Tetzei Toroh uDevar haShem m’Yerusholayim” a verse recited at least once every 3 days, being recited at every single Hotzo’as haToroh.

Now we all know that Toroh will endure & outlast everything else, and since Toroh emanates from Zion & not from St. Mary. So clearly the ideology of Zionism as per this Posuk shall be around far longer than the ideology of Satmar.

Whilst Lior theoretically is correct, but since the intended goal is that this individual end up acting correctly, so let the rabbi be your Sholiach to converse with this individual, as no-doubt the Rabbi will have more expertise to win the point over to this individual.

I hereby remind KJ chusid, that I am old enough to vividly remember the Chevron massacre on Shabbos Eikev, 18th Ov, 5689 when 67 fellow Jews were murdered by Arabs. So how dare anyone attribute attacks onto Zionism or Medinat Israel. Nothing could be further removed from the truth, indeed as leahle so correctly states vis a vis WW2 which was before our wonderful gift of Medinat Israel.

This coffee room which is doing a wonderful service, certainly is not a forum for any lies nor distortion of facts.

The answer to your question flatbusher is that every Jew owes HaKoras haTov to Medinat Yisroel, and of-course to The Ribonno Shel Olom for having Orchestreted this wonderful gift to us on Yom haAtzmaut 1948, and hence we thank haShem by reciting Hallel on Yom haAtzmaut, and marvel on haShem having showered upon us this wonderful gift of Medinat Yisroel >>> Free access to Artzeinu haKedosho.

Praying tfor Medinat Yisroel to shape up being frumer is fine & noble, but we must still be Makir Tov for the good they serve us with.

Assume the gentleman keeps his lip balm tube, at back of his Tallis bag probably with his handkerchief, and that he brings Tallis bag to Shul before Kabolas Shabbos & brings it home after Motzei Shabbos, so chances that he carried in street are exceedingly remote to say the least.

Then assume that what looks like lip balm, may have been tube of disinfectant & that maybe he had oral surgery this week, and must keep his mouth well disinfected. This is not remote thinking:- I had oral surgery this Friday 2 days ago, so these scenarios are more real than you goofus would care to believe.

The traditional answer to the first question (someone who speaks only one language): an American.

Truthfully, there are several answers to this question:-

    American

    British

    Canadian [if not from Quebec]

    Australian

    New Zealander

    or simply:- Anglo Saxon.

I have not included South African, as they tend to know Afrikaans.

Don’t we all have a seudas Shabbos prepared at home? So I have an incredibly ingenious solution for you flatbusher:- Keep a box of Matzo @your Shul, and when there is a Kiddush, lave your hands and consume a sheet of Matzo, and you thus will be fulfilling Seudo Sheniyo at the Kiddush.

By the time you eat more food at home later, that becomes your Seudo Schelischis; This is especially ingenious solution during short winter days.
