Anybody else wrung out after a WHOLE day of Pesach cleaning??
March 28, 2011 7:42 am at 7:42 am #754104ZeesKiteParticipantHa! I zonked in at 6. There’s little you could do running on one (1) hour of sleep. Look like a repeat tomorrow.
March 28, 2011 2:35 pm at 2:35 pm #754105Be HappyParticipantRemember – Pesach cleaning is removing the Chometz and not spring cleaning. Do what you have to do and then time allowing, do those big jobs that are great to do before Pesach, but would honestly wait till after Pesach.
March 28, 2011 9:37 pm at 9:37 pm #754106bygirl93Memberi’m zonked- but not from pesach cleaning- from school! for some reason teachers all pile up a ton of work right now! i didnt have a test or essay for 2 and a half weeks and now all the teacher are assigning stuff due right before vacation- and we have to study for APs!!
March 29, 2011 2:56 am at 2:56 am #754107ZeesKiteParticipantColapsed on the floor. Zonked for 7 minutes. Drank DARK coffee (in the CR!), back to work… See you… (maybe, if I survive round 2)
March 29, 2011 3:10 am at 3:10 am #754108observanteenMemberJust finished my share for the day…
March 29, 2011 3:19 am at 3:19 am #754109yossi z.MemberYouch! I never remember pesach cleaning being this rough. Then again when I was younger we had a large crew (I am the second youngest of ten kenayne horah) and when I got older we didn’t have as much to do (less people in the house). Now I work all day so I am not able to get much cleaning done but I still do have jobs. Just so happens that I am zonked today which I usually am not but due to multiple factors playing out in one blow I am gonna g zzzzzzzz …
😀 Zuberman! 😀
March 29, 2011 3:48 am at 3:48 am #754110shev143MemberPesach?? you still got weeks !

Yossi: haven’t seen you post lately – maybe you’ve been on other threads – was wondering where you were.
March 29, 2011 10:45 am at 10:45 am #754113Ctrl Alt DelParticipantIt must have been so easy in the midbar. Ok everyone, all tents, 30 feet to the right. DONE!!
March 29, 2011 12:36 pm at 12:36 pm #754114yossi z.MemberI have become more of a lurker then anything else as I haven’t really found anything that caught my interest enough. Though I have been busy down to the last minutes lately but it has cleared up some …
😀 Zuberman! 😀
March 29, 2011 5:33 pm at 5:33 pm #754115ZeesKiteParticipantCtrl Alt Del: I think it’s easier to plug up the drain in the basement, turn on all faucets, wash, rinse & spin. Super heavy duty!
March 29, 2011 7:00 pm at 7:00 pm #754116BSDMemberAny ideas on how to clean the sockets?
March 29, 2011 7:57 pm at 7:57 pm #754117veteranMembertoothpicks are great, but what will your cleaning lady think of you
😉
March 29, 2011 8:32 pm at 8:32 pm #754118Ctrl Alt DelParticipantAm I the only one that worries that the cleaning lady will think my house is too dirty so I clean before she gets here?
March 29, 2011 8:37 pm at 8:37 pm #754119Derech HaMelechMemberIt must have been so easy in the midbar. Ok everyone, all tents, 30 feet to the right. DONE!!
Assuming that the ?? was chametzdig altogether. Which I doubt since ??? is also called ??? ?????? like the ??. The ?????? ???? has a really beautiful piece on it.
March 29, 2011 9:23 pm at 9:23 pm #754120ummMemberI am zonked too!!!! And I always clean before the cleaning lady comes! My husband thinks it’s not worth having her, but this way I’m on top of things AT LEAST twice a week, and she does the dirty work i.e. bath, toilet, floors…
March 29, 2011 9:51 pm at 9:51 pm #754121ZeesKiteParticipantHi. I have fifteen minutes free now. Should I take a nap or stretch out in the CR. (by the time I get a repose brake will be history)
No need to feel bad for me, my head’s already numb!
March 29, 2011 10:07 pm at 10:07 pm #754122BSDMembervet-I thought maybe brillo would be ok.
As for my cleaning lady- she no comprende.
She charges muchos dinaros.
March 29, 2011 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm #754123BSDMemberCAD- My rebbetzin also streightens up before amigo comes- she feels amigo won’t respect the house and clean as well. Maybe she’s right. Gracias – Manyana!
March 29, 2011 10:20 pm at 10:20 pm #754124BSDMemberZ.Kite- It sounds like you are overworked and underpaid. But never fear, come Pesach and you’ll recharge those batteries. Until then, I suggest an IV with a coffee drip.
March 30, 2011 10:52 am at 10:52 am #754125hanibParticipantAm I the only one that worries that the cleaning lady will think my house is too dirty so I clean before she gets here?
i didn’t know there exists a female in the world who doesn’t, nor a male in the world who doesn’t think it’s a very absurd thing for one to do 😉
March 30, 2011 5:24 pm at 5:24 pm #754126HealthParticipantBSD -“muchos dinaros.” – Lots of monies. No, lots of money.
Mucho(s) dinero. I doubt you pay her a real lot.
Just tell the Senora – Barer y mopa todo y(Eee) limpiar los banyos!
“streightens up before amigo”
Which language do you know – Yiddish, Ivrit?
“Straighten” & “amiga”!
March 30, 2011 10:05 pm at 10:05 pm #754127BSDMember“Just tell the Senora – Barer y mopa todo y(Eee) limpiar los banyos!”
I tried telling her that and she got really mad and quit. What does it mean? Now my wife is putting me to work and I am zonked.
March 30, 2011 10:37 pm at 10:37 pm #754128tryinghardMemberTo all yiddishe mamas! Wow are you lucky! No feeling as good as stretching out after a day of hard work! Sorry men!
March 30, 2011 10:55 pm at 10:55 pm #754129always hereParticipantthis Yiddishe mama just told her Yiddishe cleaning girl to relax big time.. ’til Sunday 🙂
but she’s going to my daughter on Friday.
March 30, 2011 11:09 pm at 11:09 pm #754130smartcookieMemberOk. I’m zonked.
March 31, 2011 12:04 am at 12:04 am #754131yossi z.MemberI find it … Intriguing(?) How much emotion can physically drain you. I think I am beyond ultra zonked if such a thing is even possible
😀 Zuberman! 😀
March 31, 2011 12:26 am at 12:26 am #754132ZeesKiteParticipantyossi z.
I’m in the same boat (rowing round & round..), I think I understand your question.
March 31, 2011 1:12 am at 1:12 am #754133observanteenMemberWhew! I’m drained! Just sneaked in here for a sec. Okay…Back to Pesach cleaning! C u later!
March 31, 2011 1:21 am at 1:21 am #754134yossi z.MemberI had a question? The question mark was because I was unsure whether intriguing was the correct term.
Though I am still managing to smile 🙂
😀 Zuberman! 😀
March 31, 2011 1:52 am at 1:52 am #754135yogiboobooMemberppl make it sounds as if pesach is tomorrow. why dont you pace yourselves? u still have a few weeks. so relax a little
March 31, 2011 2:17 am at 2:17 am #754136observanteenMemberYeah, but the work is relaxed too. They wait veryyyy patiently for us to get them done:)
March 31, 2011 2:37 am at 2:37 am #754137Remember the horror stories with cleaning help before Pesach last year! Make sure that the cleaning help doesn’t decide to clean where you didn’t ask her to! And never leave them in the kitchen alone. Don’t get me wrong, i do have and do depend on outside help. Enjoy and be happy you are home and not chas v’shalom where too many of our dear ones are… in the hospital. Count your blessings!!
March 31, 2011 3:14 am at 3:14 am #754138HealthParticipantBSD – Surely, you jest. Anyway it means – Sweep and mop everything
and clean the bathrooms.
