Recently there are some young people dying. Some of these cases are preventable &/or treatable. E/o should have a lipid profile.
Early recognition and call for help
Early contact should be made to the emergency services after a cardiac arrest is recognised. In addition, serious conditions which may lead to a cardiac arrest (e.g: a heart attack) should be recognised and help called for promptly.
Early CPR
Early defibrillation
Post resuscitation care

How many guys/gals here have had lipid profiles?
July 13, 2015 3:43 pm at 3:43 pm #1091827ubiquitinParticipantWhat is there to add? 99% of your post is something that 100% people would agree on.
The only part that MIGHT be more nuanced is lipid profiles, which the general consensus is to check all at age 35, those with risk factors at 25.
Even if you insist that lieterally everybody should have lipid profile regrdless of age or risk stratification. I still wouldnt argue since the expense and risk are minimal.
So what are you looking for? machlokes lesehem machlokes?

If e/o agrees, why aren’t there more people getting tested? I know there’s always a certain amt. that won’t, no matter what, but it seems to be a lot more than that!

Not at all, just posting for an awareness for e/o!

Every shil and mossad should have and AED and some people trained to use it. Now, most souls have Hatzolo members and the device itslf actually tells (I.E. speaks) how to use it, but note that just having one on the wall is only part of the drill. Please remember to check the battery regularly as recommended in the I.L. that came with the machine.

In between!
Btw, do know CPR?
July 16, 2015 3:44 pm at 3:44 pm #1091831RedlegParticipantYeah, I had to take the Red Cross course in CPR and the use of the AED for my work. I have to take it every year.
P.S I’m 72 years old so I don’t think I’ll be able to do that stuff on myself
