If you could describe yourself in one word what would it be?
I pity anyone who can be summed up in one word.

With all due respect, I never understood this question, although I’ve been asked to do this many times at seminars and the like.
In that case, pity me. My screen name is as close a description as I am willing to give, and that is one, solitary word.
That one word does not describe your whole being, so you are not being summed up in one word.
Unsummable.

The exercise is not supposed to help you introduce yourself to others; as much as to introduce yourself to yourself. It raises self awareness when you have to think what your main essence is.

Polyfaceted isn’t a word to the best of my knowledge. Multifaceted is.
sdd: I beg to differ. This word may not exist on Wikipedia but it has been used in other places including scholarly peer reviewed articles.Just saying

Maybe one word each for personality and physical?
I wanted to be creative and not use such a mundane expressions as multifaceted. And yes, poly-faceted IS a real word. It means the same as the other.

To all the people who have reacted to this question by posting various words such as ‘Unsummable’ – DikDukDuck, ‘Polyfaceted’ – Oomis, ‘Different’ – Profound101, you all appear to have attempted to take the shortcut to profundity. Simply stating in a vague, quasi-esoteric fashion that one defies description does not ipso-facto make one profound, nor does stating what one is not describe what one is. Not that I mind, simply that if you disagree with the premise behind the question, then state you disagree, don’t allude to fallacy of the central aim of the OP with a nondescript, straight-out-of-the-textbook-on-self, non-word.
Rant. Over.

sirvoddmort: you’re right, we are all too complex to be summed up in one word. That is what i don’t like about all such activities (e.g. describe yourself in one phrase, sentence, word etc.). Thank you for spelling it out for us(?).
