I am 17 yrs old I want to know of a beis medrash that has a good reputation on the street and is in either Lakewood or Israel. One that has guys who can potentially go to R’ Tzvi Caplans yeshivah, and has guys who are serious, but learning is not that hard. I am seriously looking at Toras Moshe in Israel and the high shuir Rabbi Hartmans shuir in Beis Yisroel. I didn’t really like Reb Nosson Stein’s yeshivah it didn’t feel me, but my rabbeim suggested it. If you have any info or genuine rumors pls post.
I was in r nosson stien, i can say it is a really really good yeshiva. The connection u can get with the amazing rabbiem and 4sure r nosson himself will last 4 years and its something i know if i have something to talk about i feel very comf. talking to them..go u will not regret it.
“One that has guys who can potentially go to Tzvi Caplans yeshivah”
I dont think it is a good idea for anyone to learn in a yeshiva where the level of respect for the rosh yeshiva is so low that one can refer to him by his name.
Sorry to derail your thread, but it is a pet peeve of mine when people speak about rabbonim and talmidei chachamim this way.
apushatayid – I can’t tell you how happy your post made me! When I was going out, One of my three criteria was that a boy not speak of his Rabbeim/Roshei Yeshiva that way, or just the last name with no title. The Shadchanim told me I was being unrealistic because “everyone does it”. Apparently NOT!
